I bought my Honda Fit from Keeler and am satisfied, but when I brought my Honda Civic in to have the exhaust system replaced, in the process of removing it, the mechanic sheared or cut off the head of a bolt, leaving the remainder in where the new bolt should go. Honda requires that the exhaust system be attached to the car by two bolts. The mechanic used only one bolt to attach the system, which in my judgment would lead to early failure of the system. The dealer fixed, but only when I protested.
Bought a car from Keeler Mercedes. I have had better customer service and more respect from a Walmart greeter. The attitude of everyone was that they didn’t care. They tried to rush us into buying, were reluctant to work with us on numbers, and was told we needed to make a decision now cause he has 30 cars going out so this sale doesn’t matter.
I called a few weeks later to have a part fixed. Got a run around then told no, we’re not fixing it. I spoke to the manager and got the same attitude that they don’t care. I got a lot of “What do you want me to do about it” said to me. I wanted it fixed, I wanted some reassurance that it was going to be looked into and see what they can do. Not, no.
When you buy a car your also buying the service and the relationship that comes along with that car dealership. I received neither from Keeler.
Arrived at Keeler around 12:30pm or so yesterday for an oil change. I have gone to Keeler on a few occasions and even bought my car from there. The experience I had yesterday was ridiculous.
My car was taken in for service and my wife and I waited in the waiting area, and continued to wait, people were coming and going and people that came after us for the same thing where leaving before us.
Another service tech….not the one who took my car, noticed that we had been sitting for quite sometime and asked for our last name, we told him and he went to check on the car, he comes back and tells us the tire was cut down to the wire or steel and it could blow out and cause an accident which fine we need it fixed so he said it would take a little more time to fix it but, by this point we had already been there waiting for the original service tech who never showed his face since he took our car.
SO we waited some more and more time was passing and then we made the decision to go back out to the office area to see what was going on and the original service tech was in his office and our car was sitting there, so he was saying he was just finishing up the paperwork….
No explanation about the time he has NOT been around or anything so we asked him where was he at all this time? He was on a lunch break and had assigned his job duties to someone else who must not have done it right because we basically had to flip out on them and did not get out of there until 2:44pm, service tech said he did not know….umm who does not know they are going to go on their lunch break??
He should have never taken our car if he was going out to lunch…..very disappointed with this experience. NO apology from him or anyone else at Keeler Honda and they all just sat and watched while we confronted him, it was like a show to them….like we have all day to sit at Keeler and wait…..horrible.
I took my Honda Civic in for a noise coming from the engine compartment (lose belts) and the check engine light was on (bad O2 sensor). The sensor was under an extended warranty. They fixed the sensor, changed the oil and filter and tuned up the car for nothing. They checked the tires for tread and pressure for nothing, and replaced an front axle. They charged a reasonable price for the axle. I had the car back the same day. Great service!
KEELER MOTOR, latham, NY- I would stay away from these “Car Salesman.” This was by far the worst sales experience I have ever witnessed. I had always thought highly of Keeler Motors as my family has bought cars from them for years, this is no longer so.
We reluctantly own a used car purchased from Keeler with a PURCHASED warranty and have had nothing but problems EVERY time is needs a COVERED part. The warranty company, “United Car Care,” they work with has destroyed any relationship I would have with them. I have been lied to by every one at Keeler including the Sales Manager, Finance Manager, and Service Manager all within a month of owning a car purchased there. I have been refused repairs by the warranty inspectors as well as the dealership, had DEALER DIAGNOSED problems denied to even exist, and fought tooth and nail for ETHICAL business. My only success has been talking to lawyers and creating cases by collecting physical proof. Being aware of THE LEMON LAW has been a great help, as they seem VERY knowledgable of how to protect themselves and when to give in. We purchased a warranty for “PEACE OF MIND” and confidence, the “warranty” has been useless as well as both the dealer and warranty company. I will be happy when our warranty ends and our relationship with this dealership is over. I will however be sure to mention them any time cars come up, as a dealership to NOT do business with.
😡
The first time I took it in there was to have some scratches buffed out-they left wax or whatever it is they use-on my car…you could still see the swirls. The second time was due to a noise and a vibration…they fixed the vibration and not the noise. They also bent up my front license plate. They get the car to fix the noise and hear this noise but can’t tell where it’s coming from…they also asked “can you come ride with the technician to point out which noise exactly you want fixed?” If there’s more than one, can you fix then all!!! Long story short, we pick up the car and there’s an awful burning smell and smoke coming from my tires and black stuff all over my rims…they had left a BUNGEE CORD under my car the last time they “fixed” it!!! It smoked and melted and I’m really lucky it didn’t catch fire and kill me! And all I got was an apology. They SUCK!!!!!!!! My car was in their service dpt. at least once a week for a straight month and a half and it still has a vibration-they also didn’t put my fiance’s oil plug back in all the way when they changed his oil and we ended up stranded somewhere overnight 4 hrs. from home.
😡
The sales experience with the guy I bought the car from wasn’t that bad, altough we got a crappy price. It was the lying from the sales managers and the non-response from the ill-present GM that was awful. The service dpt. did us SO wrong that we tried to give Keeler, as a whole, a chance to make it better, but they didn’t even try. In fact, they wouldn’t even give me what I paid for my car a month and a half after it was bought, and after you read about my service experience, you’ll understand why we’re so upset. No one there wants to take responsibility for my being put in a bad car and then it never being serviced correctly (it was in their service department at least once a week from the week I bought it). Never, ever go there. Also check out other complaints from other consumers on Yahoo Local.
This dealership dropped the ball in all areas from finance to service and nobody seemed to care. This was the worst experience I have ever had buying a new car.I WILL NEVER GO BACK FOR ANYTHING OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!!!!
My wife purchased a Extended Maintenance Agreement on a 2011 Mini Countryman. I did not know it was non refundable. I got fed up with the Mini Electronics. I traded it in for a new car. My wife had paid $1765 for that contract. I always got refunds but it was extended warranties. WE bought eight cars at this dealership. They would not refund our money. The contract would not even kick in for another 2 years. I checked Kelly Blue Book to see if that contract increased the value of the Mini. There is no check off box for it. We are out $1765 because of a badly structured maintenance agreement and will do nothing to compensate possibly their best customers ever.
