(First-time buyer)
Customer service is terrible. No one answers their direct lines. No one responds to voicemails or emails! They told me they were going to handle the proper paper work for the insurance company and never did. They offered $500 off the sticker price on their website and confirmed this in the showroom, then when I went to sign for delivery of the car they printed the full sticker price in the contractual papers and refused to take it off… they said it was an error on the part of their website-maintainer then offered me a 1.9% interest and made it seem like a deal… come to find out that’s what they were OFFERING EVERYBODY! I felt like they took advantage of me because I was young and unfamiliar with the car-buying process. They have totally disrespected me. Read on….
After leaving a total of 6 voicemails with 3 different people (including the sales manager and customer service manager) and writing 3 emails to the finance guy, 1 to the sales manager, 1 to the general manager, and 1 to the vice president (and not receiving any response from anyone) I gave up and handled everything on my own. I want to get the word out there. Everyone was so nice when they knew I was in the market for a new car and ever since I signed for delivery of the car I have been ignored. People need to know because this is B.S. You’ve been forewarned!! Stay away from Nemer VW in Latham!!
:mad:the night of pickup ; vehicle had less than 3/8 fuel in tank and not shown how anything operated
:confused:first contact with service only two days later , vehicle needed tire pressures adjusted and mismatched tires on it, but was okay and the:eek: air filter was clogged with mouse nest and acorn nuts:mad:
we were told that all vehicles are checked over bumper to bumper after sale:mad:
We did cover a $600.00 timing belt replacement as goodwill months after purchase.This vehicle was purchased 7 months ago and the customer has some concerns.We offered to continue to help them and they refused to return.
Thanks.
:confused: In response of mr olsen reply;
They covered up to $300.00 :confused: not $700.00 as stated and they tried to charge us full repair until we advised them they were paying for it :eek:for the timing belt because they must have realized the had misled us and now they are trying to look like the good guys.
The reason we will not return is because the first initial problem we tried to let them ‘do good’ on just cost us two four wheel alignments and a new set of tires ( almost $1000.00 ) Plus they want us pay for repairs and can not tell us if the extended warranty will cover it. Even though the initial repair should have been covered under the used car dept.:devil(
:confused:was told service contract could be used any where but would appreciate them first;
:confused:was told contract included timing belt replacement, a/c service, transmission and engine repair work would only cost the deductible;
:eek:what we found actual truth was ; it does not cover any preventive maintenance at all including the timing belt replacement and a/c service;
also found out only valid at selling dealership, if you reside within 40 miles of that dealership:mad:
