I bought my pre owned “certified” Camry six months ago. I specifically asked if the timing belt was good they said everything is great on the car. Within the first month the head gasket was leaking oil ,suspension and alligmment were off.They also said I needed a timing belt . When I brought it in they said it was not covered under the lemon law and showed no remorse for the price if junk they sold me. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone especially someone who can’t afford over $2000 in repairs in the first 6 months!!!
Gave me a lousy offer for my trade (also a Toyota); lied to me about when car ordered would be in and would not refund my original $200 deposit after I cancelled the deal. I saved over $1,100 at another local dealer after Northway attempted to cheat me. Buyer beware at Northway. Definitely would not recommend Northway or salesperson Janine Hoogeveen. They tried to con me and kept my deposit for no good reason after I requested a refund on ordered Highlander that hadn’t been customized in any way.
What a great Dealership from start to finish. I started my search for a used car for my son a couple of months ago. He needed a reliable car to get back and forth to school. I have been to many dealerships and felt very pressured into buying right away and when I didnt I never heard from them again. I first went to Northway a couple of months and I do have to admit had my guard up from feeling pressured from the other car places and to my suprise I felt no pressure at all. Everyone was so kind and they treated us like we knew them forever. They took their time to show us a bunch of different cars that they thought my son may like and we even test drove them all!!!! My son being the teenager/adult that he is wanted something cool when I wanted something realiable and safe. They have stayed in contact with us over the last couple of months and kept us updated on different vehicles. Just last week they called us back and told us they thought they have found the perfect car for my son that fit into our budget and we would both be happy with. Now he is the proud owner of the coolest 2008 Corolla Sport and just in time for school. He thinks it is sooo cool and I know it is safe. Hats off to Northway. You guys truley know your stuff. The only thing I regret is not going to see them first. Thank you again for all your hard work. You guys are the best! The Grace Family
my corolla did not start in morning. so i called northway toyota and had it towed up there. this is the 4th time every couple of months it doesn’t start. the first time they re programmed something. the second time replaced battery.. the third i got car started before tow truck came so i cancelled. this time they said they started car and found nothing wrong with it. he said it must be the way i park it or something out there where i live. no he says i owe a towing bill of $109. because he says there is nothing wrong with car and the warrenty will not cover and i even paid for the extra warrenty,. First they still haven’t corrected the problem of car not starting and not covering tow bill. and they said to leave car up there to see in a week if car will not start. Now they didn’t even offer me a loaner while my car is up there.
Northway Toyota of Latham, NY is a great dealership. The pricing cant be beat, the service is outstanding, and the sales staff is very professional. Although I had a sales person who handled my transaction, I was greeted by all sales staff, and they showed interest in my purchase. It is a very friendly environment, especially if you need to bring your children with you. I found they understand people have children, where as other dealerships seemed to be annoyed when I had to bring my children with me. My car has only required one service so far, and it was done quicky. I was asked if I needed to go anywhere while my car was being serviced, as it was going to be an hour or so. I would definitely buy my next car from Northway Toyota!
This place is a disaster. Avoid this body shop. They are bad news!
ryan was our saleperson with the help of jim,excellent people to due business with. when we picked up the car our salesperson ryan was called out suddenly for a personal reason, he had his associate kevin fill in for him who also did a first class job took all the time i needed to go over my new car with me, again my thanks to ryan,jim, and kevin.
Northway Toyota is in it for themselves! A car purchase should be bennifical to both the dealer as well as the buyer, they are extreamily greedy and try to squeeze every penny they can out of the buyer. The used car manager stays in his office while the sales associates shuttles information back and forth to him, he doesn’t have the proffessionalism nor the consideration to leave his office to meet a customer to try to reach a compromise in a deal. My vehicle in this perticular deal was listed as a SE, “Special Edition” however the vehicle in fact was a base model. The preferred customer coupon I printed out from the internet when visiting the web site for $ 250.00 didn’t really work the way most of us think cupons work. After negoticating the price for the vehicle, I presented the coupon to my sales associate, again the associate ran the usually path to the used car sales managers office. The sales associate then returned and the price of the vehicle went back to its original asking price, then the $250.00 coupon was honered, the savings was minimal. I DID NOT end up buying from Northway Toyota. Athough part of trouble was that my trade-in vehicles title was compromised, the used car sales manager did little to try to reach an viable agreement, he would not even meet me half-way. Northway should think long term and try to make customers for life, they are penny wise and pound foolish.
I purchase my Camry new from Northway Toyota back in 2006 and it was so easy. I did not feel any pressure. So when it was time to get my husband a truck, I turned to the internet. After doing some reasearch, I found a few trucks on their webs site. I was contacted by Jennifer, who scheduled me an appointment with Dan. We test drove the truck and within about and hour we were sold. Picked it up the next day. I would recommed Northway toyota to anyone looking to buy new or used.:)
One of the best shopping experiences I have ever had. I have purchased many vehicles over the years, and always hated it. When I walked into Northway I was treated to a wonderful experience. I was treated like a their world revolved around me. Being a woman its hard buying a vehicle, but I was well taken care of. Save time and money and go to Northway Toyota. You will be suprised by their customer service.
The dealership was misleading and made several mistakes during the buying process. Not only did they lie about the quality/certification of the vehicle, they could not fulfill the warranty contract they promised in writing. During negotiations to settle the warranty discrepancy, they refused to put anything they offered in writing or to cover the differences between the warranty we agreed to in the contract and the “comparable” one. I am a Toyota fan, and would recommend to anyone to buy a Toyota, but please save yourself the hassle, time, and money and do not shop at Northway Toyota.
