Really happy about our experience here. No pressure sales tactics. Answered our questions. Gave us our space while also becoming aware of our needs and very knowledgeable about the inventory, which is quite diverse.
Thank you so much!
This dealership is horrible, the car that was purchased was not worth it and has already given me a numerous amount of problems without even having the car for 30 days. The two front wheel bearings were loose, no tune up and recently the head gasket blew, which according to the finance manager isn’t covered in my powertrain warranty. I want nothing else to do with this company and wish I could find out who I could talk to other than the people who work there. There is only one contact number given, and everyone there seems to be in on the hoax. My story of buying a used car seems oh too familiar to others, as though they are intentionally screwing us over, unfortunately these reviews get to the buyers like myself too late and the scam already begins.

Let me begin by saying Midway Dodge is a shady, piece of shit place trying to do business as a car dealership. 1st, we took the 6 hour drive because we we’re intending on purchasing a vehicle we seen online. We were told the vehicles were still available! Only to find that was a lie! Now, here we are one year later and happen to come across 2 vehicles we’re VERY interested in. We were told YES, the cars are on the lot. We drive 6 hours. Within 10 minutes of arriving we get a call asking if we are still coming. We said yes, and 10 mins. later we arrive. What do we find??? A scamming little business AGAIN! We were told the cars (both of them) have been sold! This place is nothing but FALSE ADVERTISEMENT to try & get you in the door just to screw you over!! STAY AWAY FROM MIDWAY DODGE!!!!!My rating of this place would be much lower but you must give at least one star…go figure!!
Kimberly,
First of all, I am very sorry for the hassle and frustration of having to drive 6 hours in vain. Genuinely, we have done a revamp of our policies and are now striving to serve our clients better.
If you would like to discuss this situation please feel free to contact me.

This is a terrible place to purchase a vehicle i feel like i got scamed terribly dodge really needs to shut this place down ive filed a claim with chrysler and am reporting to the BBB. I should have done my research too see what scam artists these disgusting people really are. i have had nothing but problems. do not i repeat do not puchase a car from these incompetent people.
Too bad I didn’t read all the comments about the bait and switch tactics Midway appears to use. I called about a vehicle advertised on cars.com, and even asked if the car was still on the floor. The lady answered “yes”. I drove an hour, only to be told the car was sold a few days before, and that next time I should ask for the sales floor, since they have the lastest information on inventory. The sales man was very nice about it, and offered to show me something else, but there was no pressure. He explained that the office doesn’t get sales information until a few days later. I have never heard of a dealership treating customers this way, and didn’t think to check the customer review websites first. Also, this dealership had 88 Better Business Bureau complaints filed against it over the past 3 years, 34 of which were for advertising. Terrible way to run a busines!
Hi Elizabeth,

Save your time and DONT SHOP HERE OR EVEN CALL THEM!!!! I wish I could have given them no stars! I feel very silly buying a car from this dealership now that I have read all these comments. We bought a car from them about a year ago, and my story is so similar to many others. After calling numerous times about a Jeep they had online we took the hour drive to go see it. Amazing the car had just been sold, so they showed us some other cars and we did find a nice Jeep much over what we intended to spend. They did come down in price and offered to throw in a free 2 year warranty so my husband bought it. I left him to do the paperwork because we had been there for hours. When he came home there was an extra 1600 on the finance papers he didnt notice. After 2 weeks of calling and getting noone to talk to we took it as a loss and said we would never deal with them again!! A year later we are and now Im getting letters saying that our loan application was denied. Well they processed an application in my husbands name and never asked the person applying to provide an ID. When calling them to ask about this they said it couldnt have happened and do not see any reason to help us. Identity theft is a big issue and I think somehow they are scammers. I have now invovled the poloce and hope their true colors come to light. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!
purchased a vehicle from midway dodge. they sold us gap ins. we only had the car for 8months … traded it in for a brand new one. wish we would have done that from the beginning. but we live & learn. so since we purchased the Gap insurance and only had the car for 8months, we were entitled to a partial refund on the ins. since the car was paid off by our new finance company. Midway dodge had me fill out the paperwork and i waited…waited & waited for the refund. I went into their office and inquired about the refund. they treated me like crap…spoke to me as if i were a 5year old child. I walked out. I called the Gap Ins. company myself…turns out Midway dodge has never done business with this ins. company and they didn’t have any active contracts with them. I am currently taking midway dodge to court.
Everyone on here is right they really dont have the car you see on the internet at all and not for the low price either.Jimmy which is an sales person has a nasty attituded he hate his job and he is so old and grumpy he also will tell you that he dont care if you get the car or not because he has a car how rude… they never answer the phones and i just hate this dealer i can go on and on

I wouldn’t get a car here if you gave it to me.!!!!!! This is the worst place to deal with in all of Chicago. When I called in about a car online I was told by a girl that they still had it and it was AVAILABLE. Then after driving thirty minutes to said dealer i was greeted by an incompetent sales associate. In which the only thing he could tell me was he couldn’t find the car and that he COULDN’T help us. Then my mother and myself both spent two days trying to contact managers at this dealer calling from 9am to 9pm and still no one could call us. I’ve never been to a place more incompetent they have the worst customer service ever. Not to mention most of the cars they had were in need of serious body work!!!!!

This dealership is the worst. We located a car on the internet thru Auto Trader that this dealership was advertising. We called, talked to Marco, three different times w questions about the vehicle. He assured us all three times it was there and available for purchase knowing we were driving 90 plus miles to buy the car. We get there and got handed over to a so called sales manager named Jimmy. He took us to a entirely different vehicle than the one on auto trader. He has never seen the one that was advertised. They did not have the vehicle there, or anywhere. He then tried to sell us the car they did have for 6,000 dollars over the price of the advertised one. We left.

I took my 2002 Dodge Caravan in because I had recently had my Transmission rebuilt and it was still not shifting gears and the speedometer was not working correctly. I decided to take it to Midway Dodge since they have experience with these types of vehicles. They wanted to charged me $654 to tear down the transmission because they said it was an internal problem. I said no but they still charged me $115. I took it to another mechanic and they told me that the oxygen wires were crossed and that was the problem they only charged me $45. I called Midway Dodge asking for my money back and they refused too but they give me a horrible diagnostic. If i would have said yes to tear down the transmission they would have charged me a lot of money and it wasn’t even the problem. Do not bring your vehicle here they will tell you its a bigger problem then it really is and charge you much more!
You stupid fuck O2 has nothing to do with your trans you dumb fuck and tell the story wright next.I was a little shop that can’t fix trans that repair it not 1 time not 2 but 3 and still didn’t fix it.
I was reffered to see Mario by a friend. I needed a work van and told Mario my price range. Within 48 hours Mario had located the right van for me. I test drove the van and it drove very nice. We reviewed the price and they appraised my current van. They actually gave me about 500 more than I expected.
I paid for the van and drove her home. Finally, a good experience at a car dealer. Midway Dodge has my vote as a good car dealer to do business with.
Never waste your time to that dealer ship. They have all the fasle adverstisement,I’m intersted in two used cars from their own web site, but when I went over there, they just said those cars are not avaliable and try to sell me another car with double the mileage and with $6000.00 more. They don’t care the business because they’ve never lower down the price .They look at you like you are stupid. Also be prepared to have time to go there, because I’ve waited for 2 1/2 hours to have a text drive on the vechicle.I’ve wasted so much time there and end up I’ve to file a complaint to their co-operate office so I can feel better. ( They have none of the cars which were shown on their web site)If anyone want to buy Dodge cars, please go to different dealer ship.
*******BAD ** BAD ** BAD ** BAD ** BAD ************
Save yourself a lot of time either on the phone or in person. Talked to many sales rep before actually talking to Gail who convinced me that I was approved, come on over and get my car. Excited as I was I went only to find out the paper work had not been processed, no decision had been made about my credit and most of all the two cars I had in mind were gone.
Finally I was given a car to drive and before I could get out of the parking lot, it sounded like the bottom would fall out. Gail said as long as the transmission and the motor were good that was all I had to worry about.
Please save your time and money and leave these people totally alone. At this point I would not take a free car from them.

Well I guess I feel foolish now after reading the comments on this dealership, wish I had found this site before. Long and short, I inquired about a car off usedcars.com, received 2 phone calls insisting I make an appt to see car, I finally made the appt, and received a third call confirming I was coming and that the car was stil there. Drove over an hour to get there, got to the dealer right on time, and guess what, they could not find the car, I mean, what kind of dealer cannot find a car, they woulldn’t even just say they had sold it so I could just leave. Then they started offering other cars that I might be interested, this is when I left. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALER, THEY ARE RUNNING A SCAM.
These stories sound TOO MUCH LIKE MY STORY of my experience! They didnt have the car they told me they had THREE TIMES on the phone! ( RED FLAG 1 ) Except I didnt even see a contract because their printer was broken. ( RED FLAG 2) The sales rep was going to bring the car out to me the next morning where I was to give him another 3300 dollars ( RED FLAG 3 ). The whole drive home ( 2 hours away from my house!!) I had a bad feeling and changed my mind! My gut instinct was enough for me!I went back out there to get my money the next day because they said they couldnt transfer it back to my account, then I got there and they said the person authorized to do such transactions wouldnt be back until Monday! Why didnt they tell me that on the phone?? They have a thousand dollars of mine and if I dont get it back tomorrow, I will be taking them to court! I reported it to my bank! …and will be reporting it with the BBB! Then when all is said and done, I will go out of my way to insure no one else will get ripped off or conned into buying one of their piece of shit cars! I don’t believe they could still be in business with all the bad reviews! I feel foolish to not have read them before driving all the way out there! It was the worst first car buying experience ever!!!
FUCK MIDWAY WAY DODGE!!!!!!! FUCKIN CON ARTIST SONS A BITCHES!!!!!!
