I called about a Vette they had for sale and it was there I setup and appointment to see it and I again called just before I was going and they told me it had been sold. On Thursday 06-15-2011 they called me and told me that it was not sold and that it was still on the lot. Well guess when I arrived about 30 minutes later the car wasn’t there big surprise considering the other comments. They told me that another vette was coming in next week and that they would paint it black for me if I wanted it. They wanted money to hold the car but I said I deserved first shot at the car with out putting money down on it. They agreed but I am not holding my breath until they call. I would recommend that everyone file suit and complaint with the Ill. department of regukation and then file suit agains them for the lyes and the waste of time and gas. These people need to be delat with andy one wishing to file a class action law suit against these people should contact me at [email protected]
Bunch of extremely liars !! Nor recommended at all
the most worst dealership ever!!!! was told that they had 57 dodge chargers in stock from 2006 to 2008.. i called before i made the 1hr. trip to see if the cars were still in stock .they said sure we have all colors come on in..and of course without reading the reviews me and the wifey with my dumb a$$ drove over to see a small car lot that only can display about 30 cars in which they only had 2 dodge chargers with high miles and about $4000 more than the internet price!!!!the salesman that i could barely understand told me all those cars were sold today!! i said yea right!!i ask to use the restroom pissed on the floor and left!!!!
Good for you I wish I had thought of that before I left

So I’m going to make this short as possible as I hate doing these things but I had to after what I witnessed. First of all, I’m a grown ass man (29) with a good job and am quite intellegent. I read the reviews before I went about having the cars on internet and then not being there when you get there, about crappy service, etc. Well, I figured I’d go anyway to check out other cars. So I told them my price range and what I was here to c, and of course they didn’t have it. So they tried selling me a brand new Nitro for the same price (do to 4000 rebate) and I was thinking, ” how could a brand new one be the same $ as a ’07?” Whatever, I played along. Soon enough after test drive, I sat down with financer and sale was $10000 more than they told me. They played dumb, as 3 people will be in on trying to sell you a car, and payment would b $150 more a month than I told them. Retarded right? You kind of had to be there to see how retarded these guys looked by playing dumb and acting like, “oh well the boss said he could get it for that price,” whatever, I played dumb with them, and the sad thing is they prob thought they had me. I’m not judging, but every other person in there they might have had. Anyway, then they tried to get me to get a Dodge Journey for 16000, I said no, I’d rather get a crappy car. Then I said, “well come down to 1300.” Then I told them I was going to look around some more and as I was leaving, the guy in the next office called (Im guessing this as I saw 2 salemen whispering and suddenly one was gone) and the financer was like hey, I just got a call and we can do 12900. Really? Do I look that dumb. I guy just happens to call out of the blue as I’m leaving to say they can go lower? Anyway, how do you go from 16000 to 12900 in 10 min? Exactly, because they need business. So if you do go there, be sure to low ball them, they aren’t that good at sales, and by the looks of the people in there, I think that I was the only real potential customer they had, so they need the business. Although they are looking for me right now, which I do give them props for that and they do try to negociate with you. So it is what it is, check it out if you want a laugh.

I bought a used ’97 BMW Z3, days after purchasing the car I had to have $2300 worth of front end work done. Now, I accept responsibility for buying a used car but I didn’t expect a major dealership to sale a car with such problems. And now the battery keeps loosing power. I never had a bad car buying experience until I bought from a dealership inside Chicago city limits. I would encourage everyone with a compliant to file a report with the Better Business Bureau ASAP.
This was our second attempt to go here-we tried once two years ago when we were going to purchase a used vehicle and they were very rude and didn’t have the car they showed online when we got there they claimed they sold it. I also had a friend who went there once and was going to purchase a mustang cash and they showed online they had it and they called and said they were coming to purchase it and they said they would hold it and they went about 30 minutes later and they supposedly sold it. So, my husband saw a vehicle online that he wanted to check out and he told me where it was and I reminded him of what happened before and I said well let’s just go see it. I called spoke to Monica and we set up an APPOINTMENT for 4pm. We were on time and there was no Monica there-when we walked in it was a bunch of guys slapping each other high five’s and sayn, “what up pimp”. Very professional. We asked for Monica they told us to take a seat and eventually another guy comes and says Monica went to one of their call centers so he was going to help us. We gave him the reference number to the car and he said someone put a desposit on that car in the morning. I said in the morning I called this afternoon for it why didn’t they tell me when I called it wasn’t available anymore? I said I knew this was going to happen-monica’s not here neither was the car. It wasn’t even on the lot. I said you just do this to real people in. He said let me talk to a manager. We waited a minute and they were going back and forth and my husband said let’s go. I said I told you I am not giving my business to these shady people. They didn’t even try to stop us from leaving they didn’t care because they are used to this. This is how they conduct “business”

I never purchased a car at Midway Dodge, and never would. Unfortunately I am a former employee and know how things work at this supposed “5 STAR” Dodge dealer. If you have seen a vehicle advertised, the odds are the car has been sold for months, or they never had it to begin with. If you do go to the dealer and find a car you like by chance, do not buy it. 9 out of 10 cars on that lot have some sort of damage, ie: frame damage, engine trouble. Warning lights are simply “turned off” so the customer isnt aware of the problems with the car. DO NOT believe that anything will be fixed, because it wont. They will put temporary band-aids on things just to keep the customer happy. If you are credit challenged, the dealer will offer “a special program” where a co-signer can be removed from the loan in 6-12 months. DONT BELIEVE IT!!!! If they offer you the “in house” payment program, RUN!!!! They will charge you an outrageous interest rate where youll end up paying triple what the car is worth, and the cars that are involved in the in house program wont last you a month. You may ask why is a former employee wrtng such a horrible review? Well the answer is simple. The owner treats his employees just as bad as he treats his customers. Take heed to this warning!! Stay away from Midway Dodge. Dont say I didnt warn you!!!!
Thursday, Oct. 21, we contact Midway Dodge regarding an Infiniti QX56 and a Nissan Titan they were showing available online. 2:30pm I called to verify the availability of the vehicles, and the salesman mentioned both were available. At 6:30pm we entered the doors of Midway Dodge, and I presented the printouts of the Infiniti and Nissan to the salesman. He quickly told me that both cars are unavailable, as one they never had, and the other had just sold. I immediately ended the conversation and left. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 Midway Dodge called me and asked if I was still interested in a Titan or QX56. I told them I was and they would call me early on in the week to let me know if one was located at the Auction. Today, Oct. 26, they called me and asked about my interest in the Nissan Titan. They explained that they have had a black one for about $16,500………this is the same truck that I had printed out and was informed was sold last Thurs…….I explained that to the woman on the phone and she immediately hung up the phone.
I can see this dealership as a scam who post nicer vehicles at lower prices to pull a buyer into their dealership….then lie to them about the availability of the car and quickly try to turn a buyer onto another vehicle to sell. I looked online a few minutes ago and noticed that they do not update their website on available vehicles, as the Nissan and Infiniti are still up for sale. My guess, is these vehicles wont be taken off.
This dealership is piss poor and needs to work on honesty with their customers. If they lie about the availability of their vehicles, then it would make you wonder what else they lie about….especially with the vehicles they have there.
Save yourself time and frustration and look elsewhere for a car. From what I can see in this forum, I am not the only individual with this type of issue with this dealership.
Hi JD,
Thank you for bringing up the fact that our policies needed to be improved. We have made these changes! We are pleased to say that under our new management, we have been able to provide customer service and keep our inventory accurate. This alleviates the types of issue you had brought up.
Please feel free to contact me in order to discuss.

My Mother and I went to this Dealership on October ,1st 2010..The financing so we thought had been completed and approved..The Finance Manager stated that we could do payment arrangements with the down payment of 2,500 dollars. Before the first payment of 1,250 was even due we received a call. The Manager said we have great news for you we just need you to come in for 5 minutes..Being the smart person that I am i already knew it was crap!!!!!So we get there and we drive my car and leave my mothers new truck at home…There was an important piece i left out…My mother traded in her 2007 Ford Fusion with low Miles!!!!!Anyway can you believe they had her Ford Fusion ready to go when we arrived???Without talking to us to let us know she couldn’t keep the truck???Crazy!!!So they offered her getting a cosigner and i cosigned but we still have to wait until tomorrow to find out if she can keep the truck after having it for almost a month or RETURN IT!!!!THESE S.O.B’S SUCK!!!!!!I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THEM TO MY DOG!!!!!!!!.
July 28th 2010
They don’t even deserve 1 star- NEGATIVE STARS!!!
Almost every bad review I have read on lots of review sites ARE TRUE! PLEASE DON’T GO THERE! Me and my husband have been talking with this dealership for a week about a 2004 ENVOY SLT, that we found online for $10,395. EVERYONE I SPOKE TO SAID IT WAS PHYSICALLY THERE EVERYTIME I CALLED. On our 3 hour drive to the dealership for a appt w/a supervisor “Joe”- I called 3 times, just to make sure it was still there. The last call I made was 5 minutes before we got there and all 3 times the person who I talked to said it was there and STILL AVAILABLE. And I told everyone I talked to that I was driving 3 hours to see it. Needlessto say- when we got there they said it was sold at least 3 DAYS AGO!!! And they said that the ppl I talked to work at a call center and can’t see what has been sold and what hasn’t. HOW IS THAT ANY WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS??? They should tell customers that call- that they DONT KNOW if it’s still available cause they aren’t physically at the dealership- Customers should be able to talk to someone who’s ACTUALLY at the dealership, if they can’t figure out when the vehicles have been sold- they aren’t that big of a place to need a freakin “call center” anyways. They treated us like crap and said there was nothing they could do about it. Such crap- We wasted 6 hours for absolutely nothing. TERRIBLE! RUDE! DISGUSTING PLACE!!! UNBELIEVABLE! EVERY GOOD REVIEW HAS TO BE BY SOMEONE THAT EITHER WORKS THERE OR IS RELATED because NONE OF THEM ARE TRUE. DO NOT EVER GO HERE! TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE PEOPLE- that don’t care about their customers. If they did- they wouldn’t lie to people and they would come up with a better way to do business, so that they wouldn’t have so many people angry with them. And the cars that we seen there- looked like pieces of crap- check the VIN and car fax before buying. I won’t ever go back or recommend them to anyone EVER!
THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEFS PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT BUY CARS HERE I BROUGHT IN 3,700 DOLLARS AND MY STUPID ASS GAVE THEM THE MONEY AND THEY BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE MACHINE SO IT COULD COUNT IT AND THE SALES MAN CAME BACK WITH ONLY 3,500 AND ME AND MY WIFE PERSONATLY COUNT THE MONEY TWICE AFTER THAT I LEFT RIGHT AWAY THOSE PEOPLE ARE A JOKE AND EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFULL TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. buy from dealers where friends or family members buy at thats my best advice if you have any questions please feel free to call me at (224)362-4138:)
This was the most unbelievable experience of my life in terms of trying to purchase a car. I was lied to and treated with fraud. I am contacting the better business bureau as well. I called in and spoke to Mr. McGee and told him all of my details to purchase a Dodge Challenger. We spoke multiple times over the phone as I had a 500 credit score. He then spoke to the manager Kevin and told him that I would put down $7,000 and they confirmed that their “in house” financing would finance the rest so I could leave with the car. I hired a babysitter and drove an hour and a half. When I got there I gave them all of the information that they requested I bring plus went to the bank and got the $7,000. After sitting in a room and being interviewed by Gabriel Rodriguez I was told I didn’t qualify unless I had a cosigner. This was not what I was told over the phone. Then Kevin came in and said “he could help me but they just needed more money”. It was a total bait and switch. It cost me money to go see them and they had EVERYTHING about me in advance. They lied, missrepresented themselves and wasted my time. I am reporting this behavior to BBB. BEWARE BUYERS!!!!!!!
Needed a Car, Stoped in because I saw 1 or 2 that I had some interest in, Perhaps a little more Money than I had planed to spend but I thought I would do it Because the car (A 2009 Dodge Caravan) had an Extended Warranty, so I bit and took the deal, the car had 16,000 miles on it. several months later (about 4 months +/_) I brought the car in for regular service and the dealer printed out the warranty information and it basically said that the car had 36,000 mile warranty from dodge and nothing more.
I contacted the sales person and than the Manager and was told “No We never said That” but I had it in Writing or so I thought, But the writing was very good and not specific as to mileage, My Mistake! so jut add me to the long list of customers that they screw. On he bright side My confrontation with then that day Likely cost them Sales and perhaps saved a few people from getting screwed over, you see because they make people wait for long periods of time and I must have talked to 4 different buyers and sent them else ware:eek:
MY MOTHER AND BROTHER PURCHASED A 2006 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH $4500 DOWN AND THEY OFFERED HER A FREE YEAR OIL CHANGE…THEY WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET THEIR OIL CHANGE DONE MARCH 23RD…ON MAY 21ST THE ENGINE WAS LOCKED…THE CAR DIDNT GIVE NOT A SIGN THAT IT WASNT NO OIL IN IT UNTIL THAT NIGHT…MY BROTHER IMMEDIATELY PUT 3 QUARTS OF OIL IN IT AND IT STILL SAID IT WASNT NO OIL SO THEIR FOR THE ENGINE HAD LOCKED UP WITHIN 5 MINUTES…THE DEALERSHIP WAS EVENTUALLY CALLED AND OF COURSE THEY SAID TO BRING IT IN MONDAY MORNING NOT TELLING MY MOTHER THAT SHE WAS GONNA HAVE TO PAY $115 JUST FOR THEM TO EVEN LOOK AT IT AND ON TOP OF THAT THEY CHECKED IT THE NEXT DAY!!!! THE PROBLEM WAS THE DEALERSHIP DID NOT PUT THE DRAIN PLUG BACK IN AND THEY CHARGING MY MOTHER AND BROTHER $4000 FOR ANOTHER ENGINE….NOW MY MM AND BRO WAS OFFERED ANOTHER VEHICLE OF SAME OR LESSER PRICE BUT THE SO CALLED MANAGER TOLD MY MOM THAT SHE HAS TO PUT ANOTHER $3500 TO $5000 DOWN AND THE VALUE OF THE CAR IS $6000….WHAT CAME TO THE CONCLUSION IS THAT THEY WERE TRYING TO GET MY MOM TO BUY A ENGINE FOR THAT ALTIMA WHEN THE DEALERSHIP THE ONES WHO MESSED UP….THE WHO WAS DOING ALL THE TALKING WAS SO SO RUDE AND HAD THE NERVE TO SAY THERE IS NOTHING ELSE FOR US TO TALK ABOUT UNTIL U MAKE THAT DOWN PAYMENT…..MIDWAY DODGE BE SOUNDING ALL GOOD OVER THE PHONE BUT THEY ARE IGNORANT AND LIARS IN PERSON AND THEY DON’T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MESS UP….SO NOW MY MOM AND BROTHER ARE STILL STUCK WITH NO ENGINE!!!! BUT MIDWAY WANTS THEIR $$$$$….I MOST DEFINITELY WOULD RECCOMMEND U TO LOOK UP MIDWAY DODGE BEFORE YOU GO THEIR….IT AINT WORTH IT!!!!
:mad:I found a few cars from this dealership online that seemed like good deals. After requesting information about the vehicles I spoke with their customer service department to make sure the vehicles were still available. I live about 45 minutes away from the dealer so I called about 3 times on the vehicles before driving out there. Once I arrived at the dealership everyone was very rude and had me walk 2 blocks to another parking lot only to find that ALL of the cars I asked about were “just sold”, even though I spoke with them a few hours prior to arriving. They were EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. NEVER GO TO THIS DEALER, EVER!!!
My husband and I researched family vans extensively on the internet and the various prices and dealership offerings. We know we saved over $1700 from other dealers who all told us they could not go any lower on their prices. One sales person at another dealership even said that there was no way we could be getting a 2008 Dodge Caravan at the price we were offered and that there must be some mistake or dishonesty involved. Well we got our Dodge Caravan from Midway Dodge and there were no mistakes or dishonesty… except maybe from the other dealers trying to take advantage of us and dissuade us from getting a nicer car at the lower price.
More people should know about the great savings at this small dealership in Chicago. The people at Midway were genuinely nice and friendly as well.
This is the Worst dealership in town and i would not recommend this dealer to anyone.I had enquired about a preused car around 4 in afternoon and fixed an appntment for 6 in evening. But to my suprise i was told the car is sold. then to cover up these guys show me another similar vehicle with higher price. i had seen this vehicle also on internet and price these guys told me was 3k more than the internet price. Then they said they cant honour internet price.
I asked them for carfax report and they tell me they cant show that to me since the deal is not finalized. I was so pissed off by their attitude that i decided to move out but these guys stop me and tell we can lower the price. They will talk to their boss. My goodness, i was kept waiting for 15 mins and then they come up with a price which 2000 above my price.
These guys dont know how to deal with people and talk to people. They will get into argument and not listen.
I would advice that noone goes to this dealer even if they give low price. One more thing when i came home and checked the VIN history, vehicle had accident history and i thank god i was saved.
WORST DEALERSHIP in the town. AVOID THESE GUYS.
I purchased a Dodge. I went in knowing what I wanted to pay after shopping around at other dealerships and doing my internet homework. The sales staff was very helpful in finding me exactly what I wanted and showing me all the great features of the vehicle. I spoke with Anna the finance manager and she explained in detail the finance contract and warranty. I have to say that everyone at this dealership treated me with courtesy and professionalism from start to finish. I did not feel pressured or intimidated as I have at other dealerships in the past. I took my car in for its first service check and was amazed at how fast they took care of me. This is a high quality customer service dealership and I will recommend this place to all my family and friends
Called on a Friday night about car (2008 Cobalt 30,000 Miles) I saw on Autotrader.com (or cars.com can not remember which site I saw them on). Went in Saturday with my mother, she test drove it and bought it.
This place is not pretty but I beat the next best price I found by $1500.00. Got the car for $10,000… this was a few months ago. I saw all the negative reviews and thought someone should also get the positive exeriences out there as well. Months later, the car works well and my mother is happy she got a great deal.
This place (Midway Dodge) is not pretty–in fact it is more like a Flea Market with all these people running around screaming, looking for deals, haggling etc… If you like a relaxing and nice shopping experience with high quality customer service lounges, expresso coffee service etc… this place is not for you!
I would suggest this place only to save you $ like they did in our case. In our case the savings were huge.
…come on now. We’re all adults here.
If the reviews of Midway Dodge are beginning to sound like a broken record, I can personally confirm it’s for damn good reason. The degenerate shysters at Midway Dodge are the crooked car dealers TV sitcoms and movies have warned you about since childhood minus the bogus charm.
I had sent them an email asking about the options on a Chrysler Sebring they had/have listed at “cars dot com”. They called me back the very next day with a reply…to be precise, two separate employees called me twice that day with a reply, and lucky me, the car was still available! Do take note that I didn’t call them to inquire about the availability. Two of their employees called me to tell me it was available. I told them I’d show up for a test drive the following afternoon. The very next day I receive two more phone calls from Midway Dodge. One call specifically to tell me that the Chrysler was still available, and once again a mere 15 minutes before I left to confirm my appointment to test drive the sebring that was, according to four separate employees, still available.
Fast forward an hour.
Crap parking and ugly building notwithstanding, my girlfriend and I are promptly rushed into an “office” the size of a small janitors closet, and assured, “someone will be with you shortly.”
Fast forward twenty minutes, and three, “is someone helping you? I’ll go see what the hold up is” ‘s.
We’re finally greeted by an older fellow claiming to be the manager. “I’m here to see the Chrysler Sebring convertible”, I explain to him, and without so much as a phony, halfhearted glance back to pretend to check their inventory for a Sebring, he explains to me, “we sold that car recently, I’m afraid.”
“I spoke to four of your employees quite recently that seem to think otherwise”, I tell him. “I was told less than two hours ago that the car was available to test drive today. Made an appointment, no less.”
“The internet is very slow, but we do have some other cars you may be interested in. How much were you looking to spend?”
…”The internet…is very slow.” Verbatim. So clearly they’re not to blame, friends and neighbors! That damned slow internet’s the culprit! It must be pretty damned slow indeed, because as I type this review, roughly one month after my visit, that Chrysler Sebring convertible is still up at “cars dot com” AND their official dealership site. Reposted at their site, no less, with pictures of the nonexistant car that were clearly taken years earlier.
I should also note that Midway Dodge continued to call me on multiple occasions the week following my visit to tell me all about the lovely Chrysler Sebring convertible I had asked about, leaving messages on my cell and home lines as well. Damn that slow internet!
Needless to say, I do not recommend Midway Dodge. Don’t take it from me, though. I’m probably just “jealous competition” anyway. Please feel free to waste your time and test your patience with Midway Dodge today!
IF YOU HATE MIDWAY DODGE! GOOD NEWS! “I HATE MIDWAY DODGE” IS IN FACEBOOK! :devil(
Found what I thought was a great deal on the internet and sent an E-mail to see if they still had the car. I received an E-mail back from Charles saying that they still had the auto. I then called the number and got someone named Joel who again assured me that they had the car and even though the milaege seemed to good to be true he would show me the Carfax as soon as I walked in the door. I then payed for a cab to go there and asked fo Joel which does not even work there, he works in a phone center. The sales man said he would bring the car up, when I asked about the Carfax he just said we will get to that later. He kept coming back every ten minutes for half an hour and then came up with a different piece of junk that was shaking all over and claimed it needed a spark plug. Claimed the other car was sold over a week ago. When asked why I was told they still had it by several people he said that they were looking at the wrong list. When I asked why it was still on the internet his response was “That Internet Moves Pretty Slow” when we take a car off it takes the internet 2 weeks to catch up. Tried to sell junk with 130,000 and 180,000 miles. I went out in bitter cold and had to pay $40 on cabs to be lied to. These people are what give car dealers a bad name. Wish I would have read these reviews first. These people at Midway Dodge still have the nerve to keep calling my house to try and sell me a car. Now I refuse to look at a car from any dealer only private. Less taxes, lies and B.S. Dont waste your time and money with this pathetic bunch of rip off liars!!!
If you want to be lied to, cheated, scammed, and treated like a piece of dirt…you’ve come to the right place. Weber and his den of thieves had to fold up their KIA operation in DesPlaines and slink off into the night – due to shady and illegal dealings. You can call the local PD for proof of this. Guess we know where they ended up, now. Went round and round with him and the Attorney General’s Office and got nowhere – thanks mostly to Weber’s inability to admit to himself that he’s a crook…and that most – if not all – of his employees follow suit. If they’re NOT what I say they are…why do employees there have to come on this site and scam that THEY are customers? Liars, Cheats and Thieves. Want to be parted from your money real fast and get a pice of crap vehicle in exchange? Deal with Weber and Midway Dodge/KIA!!!

WAS INTERESTED IN A 2005 DODGE RAM FROM THEIR LOT.CONFIRMED THAT THE TRUCK WAS STILL AVAILABLE AND ON THEIR LOT APPROXIMATELY 5 TIMES ( 3 TIMES THE MORNING OF MY APPOINTMENT TO SEE THE VEHICLE).DROVE AN HOUR AND A HALF TO GET THERE AND THEN ( WHAT A FRIGGIN SURPRISE, THE TRUCK IS NOT THERE). SALESMAN “SLIM SHADY” TELLS ME THE TRUCK GOT SOLD AND THAT HE HAS OTHER TRUCKS, MORE EXPENSIVE TO SHOW ME. THE MOST DISORGANIZED GANG OF BUMS THAT YOU WILL EVER DEAL WITH, WHAT A JOKE.
Please, please learn from all the people who have posted about their awful experiences at Midway Dodge!! They take Bait and Switch to a disgusting new low! My story is the same as many others. I see these incredible prices for the exact car I want with very low mileage. I call to see if the car is still there. “Oh, yes” they say. I ask for the VIN number to check the background of the car for myself. “Oh, it’s being detailed right now. I’ll call you back with that number.” I end up calling them back 2 times to get the number and they always have an excuse. I ask for the manager because I’m thinking he will do something about this terrible treatment. He tells me to come in, the car is still there. Fast forward, the car is not there and they try to sell me other cars on the lot. “It was sold earlier today” although they had just gotten the car in that morning (remember, it was being detailed). They have to be stopped. I’m contacting the owner (probably will do no good), the BBB and investigating other avenues. I suggest everyone do the same. STAY AWAY FROM MIDWAY DODGE!!!!
this place plays the typical bait and hook game, which i did not know until after reading all of these posts. Typical, i found something i liked on the internet, needless to say he called me that night and i set up an appointment to meet the following day. Oh guess what….big shocker-they sold the car two days ago but i just talked to him and they had it there the night before!?! Crazy how that shit works out!? i shoulda just walked away but drove over two hours to get there, so i looked at another vehicle. It was lie after lie, empty promise after empty promise. Guess what…my car payment comes in the mail and i have paid two months insurance and NEVER DROVE THE CAR OVER A DAY. all because they couldnt fulfill their end of the bargain. endless calls later and no response from ANYONE. so wat do i do? pay for this vehicle that they breached their contract or tell them( even though i told them i do not even want it anymore) and i will find someone who appreciates my business? i dont know. i contacted my laywers so we will figure this out soon. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! and all the positive comments…yeah they probably wrote them themselves because no one would ever say they have had a good experience from here! my first time buying a car and it was horrible! thank you midway dodge…you suck!!!

FACEBOOK: I HATE MIDWAY DODGE
I and my wife just had our second baby and we were lookingto purchase a minivan so we were on Craig’s list and we saw this minivan a 2007Dodge Grand Caravan SXT for only $9700 at Midway Dodge, so we called them upand we spoke to a person named Joel and he said that they still have the carand to come by tomorrow and we’ll go from there. We were there 09:00 and asked for Joel and wewere told that he only works at the call center and he’s not a salesman, so asalesman took us to where the cars were and he looked around and said that theyhave sold the car, how come? I asked, we just spoke to someone yesterday andthe car was still here and we drove 60 miles to get here and now you telling usthat it is sold. The sales man did tryto sell me some other cars but I was very angry and so was my wife, angryenough to file a complaint with FTC and BBB, they (Midway Dodge) will be hearingfrom FTC and BBB pretty soon.

THAT PLACE IS A JOKE!! Say a 2005 pacifica on cars.com, called about it, tom said someone is test drivinf it right now, if you want it i need your credit card info to put a deposit on it. I thought thats nice I have not even asked 1 question about it and he wants a deposit. I called the next day and he said its still here, so I started my way to chicago, and called half way just to be sure. I talked to another salesman and he said it was sold yesterday, and tried talking me into another one they had in stock. However with more miles but same price!! Turned around and went back home best thing I ever done
I Purchased a 2007 Kia Sedona On May 30. For some reason the van did NOT have middle row seats.I was told by the salesman they were being repaired. Then Tom Skinner came inot the picture and said they did not have them but could get them. I paid for the car in full and did not take out a loan with them.Tom wrote in my contract he would order the seats and include them in the deal at Midwayd dodge’s cost. I keep calling up there, I get a different person each time saying they will order them tomorrow and call back next week.I have left numerous messages for TOM SKINNER to call me back he never calls or seems to be able to come to the phone because of “meetings” I have also have my mother helping me call we both get the same old stories and lies and runaround. This dealser ship has the aboulte worst customer service I would NOT recomend them to ANYONE every. It is JULY 28 and I have not recieved any phone calls nor my seats.Unfortunatly not I realize I am going to have to take legal action to get my seats for my van. I am not going to give up or just go away Mr Skinner.
I WENT TO MIDWAY DODGE ON JULY 2ND TO BUY MY CHARGER I WAS GREETED RITE AWAY BY LOUIS WHO ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS I HAD ABOUT THE CAR I SPOKE WITH THE SALES MANAGERS TOM SKINNER ABOUT THE PRICE I WANTED AND THE PAYMENT I COULD DO PER MONTH HE WAS MORE THE POLITE WITH ME AND WORK WITH ME ON MY PAYMENT TO GET ME TO ONE THAT I COULD AFFORD TOM DID EVERYTHING TO HELP ME THE FINANCE MANAGER DEMETRIUS WAS ALSO VERY HELPFUL IN EXPLANING ME WHAT THE GAP INSURANCE WAS AND WHY I NEEDED IT ON MY CAR THAT HE COULD DO THIS WAS THE BEST CAR BUYING EXPERANCE THAT I HAVE HAD IN MY LAST THREE CARS THE I HAVE BROUGHT I WOULD ALWAYS REFER MY FRIENDS AND CO WORKERS TO MIDWAY DODGE THANKS TO TOM SKINNER
Midway Dodge has been super for my family and I. I had absolutely no credit and no money down and they put me in a brand new Dodge Charger. It was an extremely fun atmosphere with popcorn, pop, and a real friendly staff! I have never ever been treated so gracefully in a dealership before. The Sales manager Tom was so kind and so joyful. I almost wanted to cry. I had such an experience at Midway Dodge, who would have though that?
Me, too! I had such an experience as well. They must be under new management or something. I called in for a car and they told me it had been sold and then offered me another vehicle and I came in and bought the car!! What a wonderful experience! If anyone has bad things to say about this dealership it is probably the people they have fired for doing such things to their customers. I can assure you my family has bought 7 vehicles from this Dealership and never ever have felt any pressure!!
Tom Skinner is the Sales Manager and has to the most honest trustworthy individual I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I personally agree with the guy above when he says these bad reviews are probably from ex-employees with sour grapes!
MIDWAY DODGE TOOK CARE OF MY FAMILY AND I WELL AND WE DROVE OUT IN THE CAR THE SAME DAY. THEY BEAT THE PRICE OF TWO LOCAL DEALERS AND REALLY WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO TAKE CARE OF US. THANK YOU MIDWAY DODGE.
My Email to Midway Dodge:
It is 9:50pm and I just returned from your dealership on 4747 S Pulaski Rd – Chicago, IL. I left at 6:30pm from LaPorte, IN after calling your dealership to confirm a 2005 Mercury Mariner Stock No. 2462A was in stock. I called 773-376-8060 and was transferred to a sales consultant named Victor who took my call and specifically asked for the Stock No and confirmed the vehicle was in stock. He took my name & number and I told him I would let him know when I could make it in. On my way to Chicago I called to confirm an appointment and he put me down for 8pm. I arrived at 7:45/50 and was greeted by Dave (I did not get a card or last name). I told him I was there to see Victor and had an 8pm appointment. He said he would get him for me, took me inside to a desk and had me feel out a piece of paper with some questions on it. I showed him the print out on the vehicle I used to confirm my appointment with Victor, gave him the Stock No and he looked up the vehicle and said he was having trouble with the computer and returned with Francisco Moyano, Sales Consultant who informed me the vehicle was sold. I then asked for Victor and was informed he was a telephone receptionist and not a salesman. I then asked why he made an appointment at 8 with me with him. It was like Victor did not exist. Then I asked to see the manager and was told no manager was there. I then asked to see who was in charge and Francisco said no one was in charge, just Sales Associates were there. He left and then I called the 773-376-8060 number and asked for Victor. I then heard a page come over the loud speakers for Victor. After being on hold for over 5 minutes I hung up and called back and talked with Joel who acted like he was going to help with the situation I explained to him and after 10 minutes on hold with him I hung up. Somewhere in this mess Francisco offered me a coffee cup for my inconvenience and after venting to him he smarted off and said – “What do you want me to do, make the car for you” – this is some pretty good customer service. After being on hold for over 10 minutes with Joel, I hung up and Sales Associate Gabriel Rodriquez asked if I needed any help – I told him my story and he asked if I talked with a manager – I told him I was told no manager was in. He went to get a manager and returned to say the only manager on duty spoke only Spanish – HOW CONVENIENT.
I could go on with more lies and rude treatment but I am growing weary.
Bottom line, I was given Tom Skinner’s card and would appreciate a call/opportunity to discuss my frustrations and the Bait and Switch I was subject to with him. If I do not hear from Tom by 10:30am tomorrow I will call for the General Manager and/or owner.
I called Tom Skinner the next day to only be treated even more rudely. I asked for his boss ans he wouldnot give me their name – said he lives out of the country.
I will stop here.
It is terribly awful how Tom Skinner treats his customers there. They pretty much scam people over there is no honesty at all.:(

thanks for the tip.I notice all of the good sayings come from Midway Dodges site itself. Thanks for the info unfortunatly I am also going to have to hire an attorney to take lgal action against midway dodge.I have had the van 2 months now and still have not received my seats.I call its the same old runaround daily..I think Tom Skinner and the rest of the group at midway dodge is full of unmid promises and great at giving the runaround to their customers.I would NEVER recomend this place to ANYONE!!
MY FAMILY HAS BEEN BUYING FROM MIDWAY DODGE FOR 20 YEARS AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS TREATED ME GREAT…SOME OF THOSE BAD REVIEWS HAVE TO BE THEIR COMPETITION WHO ARE JEALOUS OF THEIR SUCCESS…EVERY TIME I AM IN THERE FOR SERVICE THEIR SHOWROOM IS ALWAYS PACKED… I WILL RECOMMEND MIDWAY DODGE TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS….
Hahahahahaha! Nice try, there, Midway Dodge Employee.
Posted this crap May 2009 and as of Feb 2010 you haven’t verified it? Great recommendation, there…liar. 😡
I am a long customer of Midway Dodge,…. I wasnt aware I need to verify my comments to make them valid ….. I am definitely not in the car business…. Do you have that much free time that you go around guessing if people’s reviews are accurate…. Get a real job…. Midway Dodge is a great dealer and I will continue to patronize them……

I e-mailed this dealership on a car advertised on Cars.com requesting more pictures on the vehicle. I recieved a phone the next morning telling me that I should come on to the lot and view the vehicle. I informed them that the 1.5 hour drive is not feasible without more information to see if this vehicle is to my liking. They told me that they would get back to me with more pictures. Two days later someone different calls me back and attempts set up an “appointment”. When I explained that I am waiting for more pictures that was promised by the last Sales Person that contacted me they informed me that the only pictures that can take is the ones posted on their website due to soem contract with their picture taker?!?! Anyway my wife and I called on a Saturday to see if the car was still on the lot and I was put on hold whiled they checked on the car and they came back with a “Congratulations” the car is still here I just looked at it. Can you make and appointment to see the car? I informed them that I was leaving now and I will be there in 1.5 hours to see the car. When I got there I knew it was a mistake the dealership needs some serious TLC, no one greeted us we had to ask for some help and the person we had made the appointment with was out on a “test drive”. Needless to say one sales guy told me the car was sold 2 days prior and is there anything else on the lot that I would be interested in? I got up and asked for the GM of the store and some guy posing to be the GM just brushed me off. I left a message for the real GM -whose name I got off of their website- and he has yet to return my call. I have ben waiting for 2 days and counting.
PLEASE STAY AWAY!
I just had the same experience – drove from IN to find vehicle listed on Autotrader was sold
FRAN DID A GREAT JOB SELLING MY FAMILY A DODGE CARAVAN….. THEY ARE STRONG NEGOTIATORS…THATS PROBABLY THE ONLY BAD THING I CAN SAY….BUT IN THE END THEY GAVE ME THE PRICE WE FINALLY WANTED BUT WE HAD TO TALK TO 3 MANAGERS TO GET IT….BUT EVERYONE WAS ALWAYS RESPECTFUL AND COURTEOUS…..MY SON HAS MS AND THE OWNER HEARD ABOUT IT AND MADE A DONATION TO A OUR FOUNDATION RIGHT ON THE SPOT BEFORE WE LEFT WITH OUR NEW VEHICLE….I WILL TELL ALL MY FAMILY ABOUT MIDWAY DODGE….
Sheesh! Had to post ANOTHER unverified fabrication?
I lost it when I read about Weber doing anything even REMOTELY “charitable”. What a bunch of crooks you people are! Stooping THIS low is a NEW low…even for you.
midway dodge treated me great and gave me such a fantastic price it was worth driving from milwaukee… This dealer is always packed and does huge business yet it treated my wife and I very well…. All those bad reviews must be from the jealous competition…We will definitely return in the future…..Thanks Midway …..
They were friendly, went out of their for my husband and I. Found us exactly what we were looking for! I will be back again..and recommend them.
Gee…someone else who thinks SOOOO highly of Midway Dodge, they couldn’t find time to verify their post in TWELVE months! Nice try…again!
I should have turned around and walked out the door as soon as I saw the dealership. It is so dirty and seddy looking. You can hardly hear the person talking to you because they are blasting inappropriate music. I had emailed reguarding a specific vecicle that I was told was there. We drove over an hour to get to the dealership. When we got there the vechicle was there but they had failed to leave out the fact that the car has been involved in an accident in the days before. There was a huge dent on the front bumper that left it hanging from one side. They said it would be fixed at the cost being charged to them. We sat there for hours so they could get us the “best deal”. We finally told them we would just keep our car and leave. They said just wait our manager wants to talk to you before you leave. We said fine and waited again. He finally came back and said they had worked everything out and we just had to sign the papers. We waited around another hour while the finance guy complained about how tired he was and how late he was staying. We took the car home that day. We were told we could bring the car back Tuesday to be repaired. Tuesday turned into Thursday and then into Friday. When we finally brought the car in they had us wait another half hour to be told they wanted $3000 more for a down payment or we could not have the car. They never one mentioned on the numerous phone calls that there was a finance problem. Instead they waited till we drove all that way without the plates for the car we had traded in to tell us.I asked for a letter stating that the contract was now broken to cover myself if any cost were charged and they said “We don’t do that.” When we asked what are we going to do about plates they said “We can’t help you. It would cost us $175 for temporary plates” but it was fine for us to risk tickets and fines so they could save a buck. They were rude and inconsiderate and I would tell everyone to STAY AWAY!!!!
This dealership are not only liers and sceemers, they are outright criminals, perpotrators of ouride fraud and other crimes. My alleged purchase of a vehicle is currently under review by the Illinois Attorny of State for fraud and other crimes commited by this dealership. They will go to any means including breaking the law in order to get a signiture, get a loan from the bank, then continue to lie and deny everything, leaving the bank holding the bag. Even if the bank sued me I have nothing they could sue me for and am elligable for bancrupcy liquidation. I find it starange that any bank still would do business with this dealership. They had to call at at least 5 of them before finding a sucker. I sincerly hope they go out of business, for all of our sakes.
They have horrible customer service! I get the runaround. They are very good at it Louis, Alex and Tom Skinner
 Above the review it says “This review is not verified by roblilly734”. I wish I knew how to make it verified. Anyways I am verifying it now. If you need more verification, feel free to email me at [email protected].
STAY AWAY! After reading multiple negative reviews of this dealership on this very site, I made the mistake of giving them a chance. DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! Their website listed that they had 36 cars available which were the make/model I was looking for. I called the Midway Dodge dealership and asked about 2 vehicles specifically, provided stock #’s and was told that both of the vehicles were in the lot. I then made the hour drive to the dealership to discover that neither of the 2 vehicles were there. One of the salespersons informed me that they were at their other location which is another 45min away. I then asked if he could call that dealership to ensure that the vehicles were definitely there. After giving me a look like I had just asked him for one of his kidneys he picked up the phone and made the call. It was confirmed that both vehicles were at this location. I waited til the next day to make the drive to the other location and before I left the house, called and confirmed with the salesperson that both vehicles were definitely still there, he said they were. I arrive at the location and neither vehicle were there. I was told that both had been sold the previous night, but that they were willing to “work a fabulous deal out with me on any car I chose from the lot”. I in essence told them to shove it and left. Don’t make the same mistake I did and waste 4 hours out of your life. JUST STAY AWAY!
Stay away if possible!!!! I should have known that I was in trouble when the first question that came out of the person answering the phone was my contact information…. I contacted the dealership after seeing an advertising at their web page and I was told that the vehicle was available. I had problems coming to the appointment because I had to go out of town and called to cancel it; while out of town I was called by 4 different people from the dealership claiming to be “the manager” asking me to re schedule my appointment and every time I told them that I would call back as soon as I made it back in town to go and see the vehicle. When I came back I contacted Jack and asked him if the vehicle I was interested was still available and he told me that it was still in the lot and that it would be no problem to look at it. I made clear that I was interested only in that particular vehicle and that It would take me more than 1 1/2 hours to make it there from my house and I didn’t want to waste my time….. He said that the vehicle was there and I went……
Forget it….. I was received with the attitude you get when you interrupt someone in the middle of eating his favorite meal when starving…….. right after telling him my name he stated that he needed to see if the vehicle was still in the lot and after walking only half of the outside lot he said that the vehicle was sold already….. Then he gets mad at me because I reminded him that I told him that I was there just to look at that particular vehicle……
Phishing advertising????? YES! Honesty dealing with possible clients?????? Definetly NOT!!!!
Do yourself a favor and don’t go there, save the headache for something really worth it….. not for these people.
STAY AWAY from this dealership. They are notorious for ”Bait &Switch” scam. On top of that they are liars and cheats.
Here’s what I experienced first hand, you will most likely experience the same:
You will probably see a low mileage car advertised with a GREAT price on Cars.com (shame on the Tribune Co. for doing business with them) or their own website. You will call in and they will tell you the car is available and they want to set an appointment for you to go see it. THIS IS THE “BAIT” part of the scam.
Once you are there, they will first tell you that the Sales Manager is driving it and is out of town or some other lie. Eventually, they will tell you the car was sold and was mistakenly still advertised. THIS IS A LIE!!!! If they ever had the car, they have long since sold it but will continue to advertise because they know that this car will continue to bring in buyers.
Now comes the “SWITCH”. You will now be told that they have others, unfortunately, none will be comparable to the one you want. They will have more mileage at the same price, or more equipment at a higher price!
These tactics are designed to fraudulently attract buyers. DO NOT BUY from Midway Dodge or Midway Kia. They will waste your time, treat you poorly, lie to you and rip you off!!!!!
I email Mike about the 08 Dodge Avenger. He call and email me right back and we when over the car over the phone. I came in and talk to Marco who showed me the car and showed him the email price. This was a e-z car deal for me.
Had my car towed there to get a brake problem looked at – One week and one hundred seventy dollars later, I was charged for an hour of labor, a towing charge, and basically told they weren’t able to diagnose the problem and I was S.O.L. in terms of getting it fixed. Just really didn’t feel like it was even remotely a priority of theirs to figure it out. In the end, I was forced to sell the car to CarMax after it sat on their lot for a week, and had to take a loss on it for the simple fact that I had this ailing car that wasn’t a safe car to drive and no one seemed interested in trying to fix it….And they seemed suprised that I wasn’t interested in trading it in for another Dodge!
Terrible service, dishonest staff, and a run down facility. Keep away!
do not waste your time with these guys. I was drawn to this seedy dealership through an ad posted on a popular car search engine. the listing was for a used car with low miles for a decent price. i called the number listed and asked if the car i had seen was in stock, they said that it was, so naturally i set an appointment to come in and check it out. i spoke to a lady named “jesse.”
after driving all the way down there i was greeted by a sleazy guy with a goatee (over abnoxiously loud reggaeton) and asked to speak to a woman named jesse. he said she was out to lunch, and if he could help me. i told him that i was there to see a particular car, and he transferred me to another scumbag named “mike.” after sitting with this guy for a while and fielding questions like “why do you like this car so much?” he told me that the car in question was not on the lot, and that it was being “detailed.” he said it would be there tomorrow.
he ran my credit to see what kind financing i could get. he returned telling me that my credit sucked, which it doesn’t, and that “it would be a miracle if i got approved for this car, but that he’d be happy to show me other cars on the lot.” i told him that i could finance the car through other means, but was still interested in that particular car.
after arguing with this guy for about 20 minutes about other cars in stock, my credit, and his co-workers disregard for my time, he brings his manager around to talk to me. his manager says first, that the car is on another lot, and then, that the car had been sold. at which point i get up, thank them for wasting my time, and leave.
…i also requested a carfax report of the car numerous times, to which dirtbag number one replied that “he did not have access to the vin number.” this leads me to believe that the car in question never really existed in the first place. THESE GUYS SUCKED.
When I walked into the dealership is was like going over to a friends house . The experience was more like helping me buy a car, instead of , selling me a car . I will tell my co-workers and church members all about this company .
Friend’s house. Church members. LMAO!!! Nice try ,Weber…you thief!
