MB of Plano (a.k.a. Ewing Autohaus MB) is not a good dealership. Fortunately for them, there are only 3 official Mercedes-Benz dealership in the whole Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Otherwise these guys would be out of business by now.
Quality of repairs is low. Customer service level is below expectations. So-called service advisors are impossible to reach. Waiting time is long, repair time is even longer. Escalations are a waste of time. You would get a meaningless phone call with the meaningless apologies from a manager, but it would make absolutely no difference in your vehicle’s repair or the customer service that you receive.
Stay away from Mercedes-Benz of Plano.
We were finally able to work out a deal after months of turmoil. I am glad we were able to put our differences aside and work as a team I thank the MB of Plano team for their efforts.
I purchased, what was sold to me as a “Certified Pre-Owned” E-350 AWD vehicle in June of 2012. It has been in a Mercedes Benz Service Department for 28 days of my ownership (as of February 8, 2013) and has currently been sitting in my garage for well over a month now WITHOUT USAGE. I called the dealership I bought the vehicle from and all they want to do to rectify the situation is offer to purchase it back at wholesale/trade-in value and/or “trade collateral”, meaning whatever your current value is for something similar of the save value. As of today, April 8th, 2013, I have not heard from the dealership (General Manager) in over a month, even though they said they would get this taken care of “ASAP!” IF I even chose this option, I would lose close to 10,000 on this automobile. I do not trust the vehicle and do not want it anymore. I have done nothing wrong and can get NO ONE (dealership) to stand behind a faulty vehicle or a faulty certification process. I would like Mercedes and Mercedes Benz of P. to stand behind my dilemma with this vehicle and do something. My initial complaint to the dealership began in the middle of December, 2012, and I am still battling with them. I HAVE 11 PAGES OF DOCUMENTATION, including one email where the Certified Pre-Owned Sales Manager states “they dropped the ball on this one,” referring to the actual certification process of the vehicle. I advise wisely to check every single inspection point on the “Pre-Owned Certification/Inspection” checklist to ensure your vehicle has thoroughly been “INSPECTED” if you choose to purchase a vehicle. It does not seem to matter that TWO MASTER CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS WENT THROUGH THIS VEHICLE AND SIGNED THEIR NAMES OFF AS TO A CERTIFICATION PROCESS. To hit the ball home, there is nothing like glass shards falling into your lap as you drive away in your newly purchased CPO vehicle is there? OH, and yes … it is on the Certified Pre-Owned checklist as being inspected and it “OK/Passed” that “155-point inspection by expertly trained Mercedes-Benz technicians to ensure that it meets the high standards set by Mercedes-Benz.” Think twice before you buy, because all the rhetoric about customer service, satisfaction, and certified vehicles are not present where I purchased MY vehicle!
