Amazing service! They treated me with like a person and not a number. I have not been treated well when going to larger dealerships, Royal Moore Toyota made me feel like family and gave me a great price on the repairs I needed
Came in to get our Tundra serviced. Had a coupon card that said no appointments required until 1pm on Saturdays. Arrived at 12:20. Right when I walked in I hear one of the service guys say, “here we go again”. Then the 2nd guy states, “Hey guys…we are not taking anymore cars today”. I ask why not and that the card clearly states until 1pm on Saturdays and that also the card states, “No gimmicks, no hype, just a simple offer to encourage you to visit our service and parts departments”. He just says sorry…no more cars today. So me and my wife, who followed me there in another car so that we could just drop the truck off, had to turn around and go home. So in short I was not encouraged to visit Royal Moore’s service department ever again nor will I ever buy a car from them (we have bought 3 in the last 5 years from another dealership). Royal Moore is one of those old school dealerships who still practice shady and unscrupulous tactics. I thought that maybe their service department would be different since it’s not being overseen by sales people…I was so wrong. Avoid Royal Moore at all costs.
Avoid this place like the plague. Sales manager is a pompous jerk until you decide to buy. They lie about the MSRP of their cars, and even lie about their sales prices on their website. You get there and the prices are at least $2500 higher! Salesman take their sweet time getting anything done while you wait hours and hours.
We wanted a specific model and color, which they didn’t have there. We were made to wait for an hour and a half for them to get it from another location, while we were starving (and me 4 months pregnant no less). Then it was nearly another two to get the car “detailed” (NOTHING was cleaned, there was sugary stuff on the upholstery of the driver’s side door, smudges all over the glass, fuzz all over the dash), then they made us stand in the rain to transfer our things from our old to new car. Mind you, I’m pregnant, and we’d already been there four hours, 3 1/2 of which was spent sitting doing nothing but watch the salesmen shoot the breeze. They couldn’t even put the car under the covered area for me in a torrential downpour. I was soaked to the skin once we were done. We also had to parade all over the back lot with the salesman to try and find the model we wanted, when we could have just waited for him to go look, that’s not our job!
It got worse once we got the car home. They wanted a copies of our bank and utility records, and no one is ever available on the phone to answer questions. They also badmouth other dealerships. Real respectable business practices, this place.
I wish we had never bought our car here!
😡 My breaks were sqeeling and was concerned something was wrong. Because I was a woman they thought they could play stupid. They said there was nothing wrong with my breaks. The sqeeling continued to get louder. I was so concerned I took my new car which I had only bought a month prior…to Mitas. They said my breaks were bad and had very little life left. I should not have to put $200.00 into a bran new car after being bought a month prior. I confronted the dealership on this issue and they said that is Not our problem. “WE DON’T CHANGE BREAK PADS THAT HAVE 30% LIFE LEFT. THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM. NOT OURS. WE WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOUR MONEY” I would never recommend this place to even my worst enemy. STAY AWAY FROM ROYAL MOORE!!!!
The worst experience we’ve ever had purchasing a vehicle. I would not recommend this dealership to anybody, not even my worst enemy. They are dishonest and provide lousy service. We bought a car from them and only a week later the front brakes starting squealing and needed to be replaced. They would not reimburse us and flat out denied the brakes were bad. In addition they made us jump through all kinds of hoops just to get through the paperwork process. Stay away from this place!
Let’s just say that one thing after another during the buying process led me to see that the salesman was in this 100% for his commission NOT, as he kept saying, for the word of mouth referrals.
It’s like the charm turned off as soon as he heard I’d seen another dealership offering a much better deal. All he wanted to know was who the competitor was and how I found out about them. I came away feeling like Royal Moore pushes their people to make one time big sales over gaining repeat business through old fashioned customer satisfaction.
I wish I would have checked out the other countless terrible ratings online before I went through the trauma of going into Royal Moore. I have never before encountered such unprofessional, unethical sales people- it is utterly shocking! It is beyond me how a place like this can stay in business. I would highly discourage anyone from doing business with these folks. There are other reputable, ethical dealers in the Portland suburban area & Royal Moore is definitely not one of them.
Worst Dealership I’ve ever been forced to deal with. And unfortunately, I have been forced to deal with them often, due to numerous problems out of the LEMON which they sold me. I have had to have the car towed to the dealership twice in the last 4 months, once, waiting 4 days for a call from the Service Manager Michael, telling me, that they didn’t know what was wrong with my car. I also had to have the LEMON towed in again this week for the same problem. When I picked up my car, I asked Michael to explain my bill to me and tell me what they did. As I had done some research and knew that there was a Mazda Issued TSB for the problem issued in October, I asked him if they performed the recommended procedure. Upon asking him, he looked like a “deer in headlights” and he had no idea what I was talking about. When I asked him why they didn’t perform this TSB service he simply became quiet.*
Incompetent Service Department which is only interested in gouging their customers. They charge $104 “diagnostic” fee, which is hooking up the same code reader which AutoZone does for free (takes about 2 minutes) and overcharge for their parts. When my LEMON which was sold to me by Royal Moore recently needed service, I asked if I could supply the dealership with the parts for the repair because I could order them from Mazda cheaper than they would sell them to me. They responded that they would not fix my car using parts which I supplied and I had to buy parts from them at a 67% mark-up to me.
This dealership also sole me a LEMON which was previously owned by one of their sales managers. After purchasing the car, and seeing a clean CARFAX report, I found out that the car was wrecked, repaired at the Royal Moore Body Shop and then put up for sale at their dealership. The damage was not reported and I was told that the car had never had any damage. I only found out later after demanding a complete service record from the dealership, that the car had body work performed at the Royal Moore Body Shop.
BEWARE of Royal Moore Dealerships !!!
Worst Dealership I’ve ever dealt with.
Thank you for speaking up. I couldn’t agree more- Royal Moore is perhaps one of the worst dealerships around. Beware of Royal Moore Motors!
I had recently visited Royal Moore Toyota dealership for repair of my Toyota Avalon. Their technicians are very efficient and I am satisfied with the work they have done. Within an hour I drove back my Toyota Avalon in perfect condition. Now, it is doing great and there is no starting trouble at all. Regards!
I visited Royal Moore Toyota to get my 2007 Camry serviced. The dealers stock an exclusive collection of all new and pre-owned Toyota vehicles and offer expert service for all Toyota vehicles. Their service station is equipped with all sophisticated machines and the technicians have sound knowledge on the problems of vehicles. Their service is superb; it is great to be the customer of this dealership!
