We dealt with this dealership and decided to purchase a car. We were paying for the car in cash by a personal check. Upon our first visit, we ask the salesman whether they wanted a personal check or a cashier’s check. He said “either one is fine.” The dealership also wanted our Social Security Number. We went to pick up the car with our personal check in hand and the dealership insisted on checking our credit to verify “who we were”. We refused a credit check because 1) we were paying for the vehicle through our personal funds and our bank was open and they could have verified the funds and put a hold on the money 2) We protect our credit score (which is perfect) by reducing unwarranted inquiries. 3) The dealership’s insistence to check our credit for no reason sent up a huge red flag. We walked. After researching the dealership’s practices, we found that we were correct and the dealership had no reason to check our credit as we were not using financing. See: “Car Dealership Credit Report Scams and the Patriot Act” at Edmunds.com can help a buyer decipher fact from fiction and inappropriate sale tactics by dealers. Of course, we will forever stay away from a Nalley dealership. This buyer’s opinion is to beware of Nalley!
I had an excellent experience with everyone at the store. We have not completed the purchase yet, they are looking for a specific vehicle for me.
I was looking for a car and contacted Heather at Nalley , who is their ‘internet specialist’.
She asked me to come down and look at the car. While we were talking about the car and my needs , she didnt seem to be listening to me and her dress code certainly was not appropriate for a Lexus representative. I asked her if she was listening to me and she blamed her pregnancy for not paying attention.i thought that was a poor excuse, I f you can not do the job ,please do not show up to work for a paycheck and waste both of our time.
The car was bought and I had a few concerns i had to deal with in service. This place is a Zoo. It is the most unorganized place I have seen. I dont know who runs that department but whoever it it needs to be fired. They have people doing whatever, saying whatever and a complete ‘no care’ attitude.I almost regreted buying my car there after what I saw. I found out that the service manager BLAKE MCORMIC is hardly there and when he is there he is always out in the service area talking to technicians ,no wonder no work gets done, if the manager is a ‘child’ he is going to raise children-not men. I really think they need to get rid of this guy and get a man in this job.My concerns were not fixed and was told it was normal. i took it to Hennessy Lexus and had them look at it and they fixed 3 out of the 5 complaints I had and thanked me for my business. Now I tell you what, where do you think I am going to take my car in for service the next time?
I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH ANY NALLEY COMPANIES IN THE FUTURE AND I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU DO THE SAME. THEY ARE AFTER YOUR WALLET AND DONT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A CUSTOMER.
:mad:Took my car in for service and after everything was done I noticed how little they did and what they charged me for. Basically all they did was replaced the wiper insets and rotated my tires for $365.00. Everything on the recipt was ‘inspect”. They did not even change the oil in the car and told me that was their new menu and going forward this is what I should expect.I called lexus in california nad was told to take my car to Hennessy Lexus to get the oil changed and they would pay for it. NALLY IS A RIP OFF and I suggest everyone dealing with any NALLY stores to take a good look aty their recipts and see what they are paying for. I will never go to Nally again.
Took in for oil change and asked to look at A/C because it would not blow cold air at times.. will come back on and after turning system off/on. At the time the car only had 84k miles. Nalley suggested replacing the compressor, expansion valve, and dryer for a total of $3043.50. That’s about all the A/C components under the hood. I took it to another A/C mechanic for a second opinion and he fixed for $180.14. He recharged the A/C and put in dye for leaks. Still working fine 11/15/2010. Nalley also said the car needed brakes on all four wheels and they just replaced at approx 30k miles before. I have driven many vehicles and have never had to replace the rear brakes as much as Nalley Lexus says it is needed. In my mind either Nalley is using inferior pads or they are again selling services that I don’t need yet. I’ll not be screwed twice. I will be going to make the drive to Hennessey Lexus. They had a great service dept. but since I bought the vehicle from Nalley and they were closer I had decided to give them a chance. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice , shame on me.
It seems like nally has increased their prices to compensate for their shortcomings. I recently took my vehicle in for a service and when it was all done the service person gave me the total and it was way higher than what I was quoted over the phone when I made the appointment.
He told me that they were not busy and the service manager, Chris Cobb and the service director Domenik had decided to raise the prices to compensate for the lack of work.
He, who I will not mention told me that this was a normal trend everytime they had no work and he also showed me proof of an e mail he had recieved from another customer who had shoped at Hennessy Lexus and South Atlanta Lexus and proved how in expensive both dealers were compared to Nalley.
He also told me taht since he Service director was over all the stores in Atlanta he makes them do the same think and that is why nalley is loosing market shares because people are finding out that they get ripped off wjen they take their cars to Nalley in Atlanta.
He charged me what I was quoted on the phone but I will Never go to another Nallet store in Atlanta again.
I say if the service Director is running the company down into the ground, remove him from that position. FIRE him and get some one else. he is looking out for himself only it seems.
REMEMBER, NALLEY=RIP OFF !!!!
I had a noise from my wheel while driving so I brought my lexus to Nalley in smyrna for an inspection. I arrived there and not a singlr member of the staff seemed concerned.I approached a group of people just standing around and asked if I could be helped and one of them broke off from the group and helped me and as we were walking away I asked who the manager was and he stated, Chris cobb. i asked to speak to him and he told me the manager was just back there in the group making jokesans sitting on the bench. No wonder the staff didnt care for their customers. if the person in charge does not care why should the staff.
I had my vehicle inspected and a mechanic named Steve came and told me I needed a wheel bearing and that it would cost $795.00!
I asked his if the car was under warranty and he told me “not for that”. I decided to hold off and get asecond opinion and took the car to Hennessy Lexus on Peachtree Industrial Blvd for a second look. They greeted me as soon as I got there and looked at my car and came back to me and told me it was a wheel bearing and that it was under warrantyy and that if I needed transportation they were glad to provide me with it.
what a difference i thought to myself. two lexus dealers in the same town with complete opposite customer care .
i will never go to any nallry dealership for anything. IThey are a RIP OFF and dont care about their customers.
Willing to negotiate. Very pleasant to deal with. I recommend both Karl and Chris!
Nally is the worst dealership in Atlanta. They lie to you to your face, their prices are the highest compared to Hennesy Lexus and South Atlanta Lexus and their technicians are liers, at least the one I spoke to, Steve, was.
I took my IS in for service. They tell me it need sall this work done and how risky it is to drive and I need new tires and brakes and an A/C filter service and a brake flush.
I asked what was wrong with all the items they told me was wrong and the service guy says, hold on let me get the mechanic. He puts the mechanic on the phone and he starts off by telling me what a risk hazzard my car is and that I need to take care of all these things right away.
I smelled something fishy so I asked him if it were his car what would he have done first and he told me if it was his car he would drive it for another 10,000 miles.
So I asked him whay he wanted me to spend all that money if it didnt need it and he told me his manager Chris Cobb ahs put in place some procedures and based on those procedures my car needed tha work done. A real winner this Steve guy, he gets caught and he throws his manager under.
I dont want some looser like steve touching my car so I told him not to do anything and I was on my way to pick up my car. He stuttered and said I have already done the A/C filter anf service. I asked him if I had told him to do that and he said no, so I told him that I did not want him touching my car and I was going to come and pick it up and i was not going to pay for anything as I dad not authorized any work.
These people are un beliveable. they do things to your car before they even ask you. God only knows what that Chris fellow has in place to make money. I feel sorry for all the employees there I think Chris Cobb needs to be fired and replaced with a manager that cares about their customers.Seems all this guy cares about is his wallet!
😡 I had a noise coming from my rear suspension over bumps and decided to take it to Nalley Lexus despite all the negative things I have read on the internet about this particular dealer.
I left me car there for three days and got a call from them that they suspect my rear shocks. I have looked on the internet and have not seen anything that shows arear shocks being defective on a GX470 but being the dealer I told them to go ahead with the repair as long as they were confident that was the cause.
I picked up my SUV that evening and before I left the parking lot I could hear the same noise. I thought it was just my imagination and drove a few miles down the road and found out that it was not my imagination at all. I turned around and went back to the dealer because they had charged me $1200.00 and my problem was not fixed.
I got there and explained my situation and was told the car that was the problem withthe car and there might be something else wrong. backI demanded my money as my problem still existed and was told they would not do that as I had already allowed them to replace my shocks. I told them I had authorized them because Steve the mechanic had told me that was wrong with the truck and that he had seen it all the time.
My issue was not resolved and they told me they will have to “investigate” the matter and get back to me. I left out of there and called Lexus in california to complain and they assured to return my money, which they did and I am thank full to Lexus for doing that and not NALLEY as they tried to rip me off.
I am posting this review to warn all other lexus and other brand owners not to deal with NALLEY COMPANY as they are out to rip you off. I almost got taken but luckily Lexus manufacture helped me out.
By far the most expensive dealership I have been to. They give you coffee and a loaner but boy do myou pay for it dearly. My original problem still exists and I have already speont $2200.00 with them. they tell me they dont know what is wrong. I would strongly recomend everyone NOT to ake their car to Nalley. they do not know what they are doing.:(
🙁 I recently took my suv in for a repair and found out that the Nally company charges more for parts when you take the vehicle in for repairs and services than it does when you buy the parts over the parts counter! seems odd. I asked the parts manager sam Simmons why that was when it should be the other way round and he told me that the parts director Domenick Colaro told him to do it to be competitive with hennessy and lexus of south Atlanta. So I called lexus of south atlanta for a quote and they were cheaper than nalley! Go figure! I took my SUV to south Atlanta Lexus and had the work done for half the price than Nalley.
Nalley is a rip offf. Call around the other dealers and have them match the part price and if they do not , take your car to the other dealer, all work is guranteed by Lexus any way!
😮 It seems the delers have now started charging more and pulled items off the menu. I was recetly in Nalley and I noticed how little they actually do to the vehicle ,yet their price seemed to go up.I asked one of the mechanics and he told me that it was Asbury’s idea to keep making money in these hard times and they told all the mechanics to sell as much as they can on every car. He even went on to tell me that most mechanics were against this idea but the service manager, Chriss Cobb, the service director,Domenick and the CEO of the company told everyone that if they did not do as they had asked, they can find another job.
Nalley is ripping people off by getting customers in and then raising the price for the service. i do not like this and have filed a complaint with the BBB. I will never go to another Nalley dealership. Hennessy Atlanta is my choice. Their prices are reasonable and they do what the car needs.
I have been servicing with the same dealer for some time and recently i noticed they have changed what they do to the car and it is lss items while the price is raised.I questioned the change and was told bluntly ” we’ve got to make our money somewhere!”
not what I want to hear. I will never go to any Nalley Dealership again.
I drove a used RX330. The salesman who greated me was new and was pleasant. When we returned to the dealership I waited…and waited….and waited for the “manager” to drive my RX300 to give me a trade in price. FINALLY when I saw him return with my car, he ran into the curb (wonder how he would have reacted if I had done that with THEIR car?).
I then waited….and waited….and waited for him and finally my salesman went to get him to see what he thought and again I waited….and waited….and waited. I finally gave up, got my purse and walked over to his office and asked for my keys. He said he was just finishing printing out my “offer”. I took a look at it and it was insulting and thousands less than other dealerships had offered me. I just laughed and said after all you’ve put me though today and then you offer me that, forget it.
If you want to be treated like some lowly bug–go on down and visit them.
Took my SUV in for a regular cherck up. Was told i need 4 tires. didnt think much about it until a day later when my wife brought to my attention that the last time she took it in she was told there was 50% life left on the tires.i called nick and asked to save the old tires and an hour later he calls me to tell me that he looked at the old tires and they looked good and that he was going to talk to the mechanic, Allen to find out why we are replacing them.
The next day i go to pick up my SUV and am told that the tires did not need to be replaced but the mechanic had a side job selling tires on Craigs list and got caught.I asked him what he was going to do with my situation and he said he would put my old tires back on the SUV or I could pay for them at their cost.I thought this was unfair since I did not need tires so I asked them to put my old ones back on the SUV. He then tells me he has to charge me labor and that is when I lost it. these people are day light robbers. they recommend things that are not needed and when they get caught they find a way to milk the customer. I told them i was going to report this to the BBB and they put my tires on for free and I will never deal with any Nalley store again. they will rob you blind.
We walked in looking at some used Lexus SUV’s and were approached by JJ Jones. He was the worst car salesman I have ever met. He was pushy, did not know much of the product and kept telling us to buy the car and take it home. We asked to talk to the used car manager and thought he would be better than this JJ guy and it seems we were wrong. The used car manager turned out to be even worse. he had the paper wrrk printed out and ready for us to sign!!! can you believe this guy! so we went to see the General Manager who assured us he will do us right and asked us which vehicle we were intrested in.After three agonizing hours we found out from one of the service technicians that the engine in the car we were ,looking at had been replaced by a used engine paid for by their used car department. We high tailed out of there and decided to put up this posting to warn others how shady nalley is and to stay away from this operation.
Buying the car was as pleasant as expected when you’re dealing with used car sales. Afterwards, it took nearly 2 months, countless phone calls and a trip to the tag office to get my tag. The car was sold without an emmissions inspection and I was never told – even after numerous calls to find out what the hold up was. The dealership took the car for an inspection and came back with scratches down the side. Also, they refused to provide a spare key (car only came with 1) and gave me an aftermarket website to buy from that I had never heard of. Would not sell me a key at their cost!
You should get the Lexus experience from start to fininsh – this was just horrible. I will never buy from this dealership again. I suggest going to Hennessey instead.
I picked up my suv after having some work done and noticed it was not driving and handling properly. so i pulled over and checked the tires to make sure they were put on properly and was shocked to find all tires were bold and worn out to the extent where the wires were showing. I drove back to the dealership and asked my service guy how they let me out in traffic in such condition. he quickly ran into the service managers offfice and brought him out. I asked him what was going on, and frankly he looked very young to be a manager, and he looked at the tires and told me I had hit something and that is why my tires were showing the metal wires. I called my wife and asked her if she had hit something and she said she didnt and as a matter of fact she had put on new tires at the dealer at the last service. I went back to the service manager with this information and he looked at his computer and verifed that it was true. he asked the servisce advisor to ask the mechanic if he saw these tires on the vehicle and after waiting for 30 moinuites or so the manager, service advisor and a mechanic came up and told me they had removed my wheels and tires and installed on another persons car to see if it would fix the other persons car and forgot to swith them back. I was vert angry at this time and tried to keep my cool and asked them where my wheels and tires were and they told me the other car had left and they were trying to get hold of that customer. at this point I had lost it and demanded they install 4 new tires on my car. they refused and told me they were already going above and beyond to get my wheels back and I looked at them and said how is that going above and beyond when they should have never left my car in the first place.I left them my car and took a loaner hame and they called me three days later to tell me to bring their loaner back and pick up my car. they told me the reason it took so long was because the other car was from ot of town about 240 miles out.
All I have to say is that Nalley is the biggest crooked dealership inthe south and if you deal with any nalley stores, WATCH OUT, they steal parts off you car and put them on other cars and their prices are way overpriced when compared to any other dealership in the Atlanta area. If you dont believe my check it out yourself, you will be suprised how much you have been ripped off over the years.
I have had oil leak repairs done at this dealership and they still do not seem to know where it is leaking from. They tell me a different story every time I take it in and my husband advised me to take it in and not have any work done this time but get an estimate and take it to another dealer in town. I did just that and it turns out the repair they had done two visits ago was the still leaking and they lied to me . I contacted Lexus and they had Hennessy Lexus do the repairs at no charge and told me they will work it out with Nalley. I am very dissapointed with nalley lexus and feel I was taken all these years.I think they are dishonest and do not care about their customers.I called the manager at Nalley to let them know how I felt and spoke to a Darrel Davis who told me I should not have taken it to another dealer and that if i felt that way i should take my business somewhere else.i left a message for the service manager, Chris Cobb, and he called me back two days later and told me they had to pay hennessy lexus for my repairs and that they had lost money on me and thet I was not not welcome at their ‘Prestige” dealership anymore and that I should find another dealer for my car.
I will never go to any nalley dealership in atlanta and I will advise everyone to stay away from any Nalley Dealer in Atlanta. Thay are liers and thieves. They will rob you and when they get caught , they chase you away.
I took my car in the service area for an ipod installation. At first, no one knew I was coming although the sales person made an appointment. then they said they did not have the part and I would have to come back some other time. I got hold of the sales mas who spoke to the general sales manager and they gave me a car to drive for the day and told me the part was coming from their other store. 5 hours went by and I did not get a phone call and I decided to call the service department to check on my car. They told me the part was there but the mechanic was sick and went home. i was very upset at this point and drove down there to get my car.i saw my car in the service area with the grovebox removed and when i asked what was going on they told me that the glovebox was broken in the process and were waithing for a new one the next day. i asked them abouut the mechanic that was sick and they told me that the two people that do installations were both there and they probably just told me the first story to buy time. This made me angry and I want to the general managers office and demanded a new car.he told me there was nothing he could do and it was a service issue if they broke my glovebox. thei olace is unbeliveable. They are all glad to take your money, make false promices and when it comes to deliver everyone runs away and starts pointing fingers at eachother. I left and called lexus to file a complaint and have a meeting with them next week. I will never take my car to any nalley dealerships in Atlanta. Thay are day light robbers and if any dealership needs to be closed, Nalley dealerships are the ones. Nalley Dealerships are crooks. they lure you in with their fancy buildings and fancy coffee but the people who operate are thives.
took my car in for a tire ballance issue. got my car back left the dealership and headed for the highway. noticed a shimmy at 60mph. took the car back and asked my service advisor what I paid $60.00 for. He told me for a balance. i took a look at the wheels to make sure they had done just that and noticed the old wheel weights still on the car. I asked them if indeed they had balanced my tires and the Mechanic was brought out and he told me he had removed the wheels off the vehicle and put them on the tire balancer and noticed all the tires were under 5 grams so he put them back on the car. I asked him why he did not try to balance them down further and he told me they were instructed by their manager Chris Cobb that this is how he wants tires balanced to save the cost of buying wheel weights. I asked for the manager and he was not in(I was told this is very comon) and some other person called Derrell Davis came over and said they would do two things, give my money or attempt to balance the tires. Both options were not what I wanted to hear as if they had gome their job the first time I would not have been wasting my time. I took the money and drove to Discount tire . They balanced all 4 tires for $25.00 and now my caris shimmy free. This dealer is a rip off and does not care about customers.Sure they have the fancy building and all but theats where it ends. they can not do what they are in bussiness for. thay may have a captive clientell that keep their lights on but I am not going to be part of that group. No sir. DO NOT TAKE YOU CARS TO ANY NALLEY DEALERSHIP.
My tires has uneven wear and the explaination I was given was that it was a hybrid and that is how they wear. I want ahead and bought four new tires and an alighnment and the next day contacted Lexus about my concern. They agreed to have a factory representative meet me at Hennessy lexus and have my car inspected. The factory representative called me two days later and told me he had inspected my old tires at Nalley and determined nothing was wrong with them and was going to send me a check for the total ammount I had spent at Nalley including any other repairs I had done on that day.
Very nice of Lexus to do that . I will never go ato any Nally stores in atlanta bucause they will rip you off and this is a wake up call for me and i just wanted to share it with every one who takes their cars to any nalley Stores in the Atlanta area.
