The service department at Hurd is setup by manufacturer, one service person for Chevy, Buick, Hummer, etc. When I went in on a Saturday to have a door switch replaced, unfortunately the Saab service tech was not in. So I was taken care of by the Buick person, who did not know how long the warranty was on my car (4 years, 50k miles) and overall just seemed pretty miserable to be there on a Saturday morning. I wasn’t given a time frame and I waited around until the car was fixed a couple hours later. They have a nice waiting area with coffee and a big screen tv and some nice comfy chairs. Once my car was done I left without having to pay anything, but a few miles down the road my check engine light came on, for a completely unrelated item that could not have been affected by what was serviced. I brought it back and it was determined that I needed a new thermostat, the check engine light was cleared in a few minutes, and I was told that if it came back I should call to schedule to have it replaced.
Well needless to say it came back in a couple days and I called to schedule service on a Thursday. This time the Saab technician was in, and before I could get out of the car he was already at my door ready to go. Took some information, asked me if I was waiting (this time I was not), and let me know it would be a few hours. When I came back to pick it up, I asked a few simple questions about maintenance, which he answered, told me when I should come in for my next factory maintenance, and sent me on my way.
Overall, I had a really good experience, but I would recommend you set an appointment for the day the service tech that is familiar with your specific vehicle is around!
