After I drove off the lot at Cortese Dodge in Rochester, NY the Sales department refused to communicate with me. The salesman promised to fix all of the minor issues, most of them under warranty, before I drove off. Unfortunately he never came through on any of the promises he made. Messages left for the President of the company (Just call me, John Cortese with any problems!!) were also not returned. So, once you leave the lot here, don’t expect any service whatsoever. Over two weeks for the salesman to schedule a service appointment, because he was sick, then he was busy with end of the month, then he was the only one on the sales floor, then he just doesn’t know how to use a phone I guess. An endless supply of excuses. Met with his Manager on saturday because he’s going to ‘take care of me’. Went over the car completely. Was there for 2 hours and got my overdue first oil change. They also scraped factory paint off front wheels because wheels were not sitting properly – causing a clicking noise in reverse. Before I leave he tells me he will call me 10:30 am this Monday with an appointment for warranty service. Monday at 4:15 pm I call him and he doesn’t know who I am at first, then he tells me he was supposed to call me by 10:30. But jokingly, he never apologizes. Instead he gives me excuses and tells me he has been at his desk for “8,500 hours and it’s the end of the month”. Then he tells me he will call me back in 15 minutes. 2 hours later, I call him again and he tells me I can drop it off the next night. No way in hell I’m I ever going back to Cortese Dodge. Went to Vision Dodge and got set up with the Sales Manager and Service Manager. The whole atmosphere was Professional from the moment I walked onto the sales floor to every one I passed in the Service Dept. Night and Day compared to the lack of enthusiasm and unprofessional manner every where you look at Cortese. Most of the issues are under warranty, so no $$ problems for me. Shame on Cortese Dodge for such horrible Customer Service. It was disgusting the way I was treated after purchasing a 2011 RT classic, and making every effort to clearly communicate to them what they needed to do to make it right. They need to grow up over there. You’ll get better treatment from the kids at McDonalds, and fries!! This was the readers digest version too. Too disgusted to go into further detail. Moving on now.
This place is horrible! It took me over 20 minutes to get a sales person and I could not even find the Dodge building to begin with. The place is under construction and is a complete mess. It took forever just to get where I could test drive because nobody could find the keys. Prices are way to high and the managers dont know which end is up. 😡
