I brought my 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS in for service. I had no appointment, but they did accommodate me. However, they called me with a diagnosis, stating that my cylinder head was cracked, and the repair would cost $3000. I told them not do the work, the car was not worth it and I wanted to confirm their work. I asked the service person (forgot his name), how they determined it was a cracked head versus a head gasket. He said the compression was low in the cylinder, and their was no water leaks, so they stated is was a cracked head. I checked the cylinder compression and it was normal. The problem was an incorrect gap on the spark plug. I made the repair myself for $7.32. Their diagnostic capabilities stinks, and would have resulted in a very expensive fix, that was not even required.
I brought my 2006 Saturn Ion in to get the power steering fixed. It cost me $257. I then receive a letter from GM that the part I paid for was being recalled and I would receive a full refund. I mailed all of the necessary paperwork and was told that I had to go to the dealer to pick up my check, it was waiting for me. When I get to the dealer, a guy named “Bino” tells me that I had to mail out the same paperwork that was already mailed out to GM and that Multi was not responsible for giving me a refund. I then call GM and someone named April told me that Multi had mailed out a check and I should get it any day now. A week goes by and NO CHECK!!! I call GM again and they tell me that I should have received the check and they will follow up. This goes on for another two weeks!! Apparently Multi had decided to get into a finger pointing war with GM while putting me, their customer, in the middle of it. Instead of just refunding me my money like they should, they decide to inconvenience their customer. The only thing I get from Multi is junk mail trying to lure me back into their dealership. Are they crazy??? They cant even handle a $257 refund!!! IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO BUY A CAR..DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO INTO MULTI CHEVROLET!!! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE STINKS!!!!! KEEP DRIVING UNTIL YOU FIND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP!!! ITS BEEN OVER TWO MONTHS NOW AND STILL DO NOT HAVE MY REFUND!! THANKS FOR NOTHING MULTI CHEVROLET, THIS IS ONE CUSTOMER THAT WILL NEVER BE BACK!!!
Our saleman worked good with other, it was after we brought the car that all the problems started. The service department stinks and the service manager is rude and not helpful at all. I have had my car less than a year and have put in more than a $1000.00 worth of repairs. I would recommend going to Royal Chev. in Bridgewater any day over Multi, they help me more and I it didn’t even buy the car from them. I would never recommend or even buy a car from Multi again. I hear after buying my car others had also had problems with the service manager, maybe Multi should look into this because when you can fix cars you sell, not good for business, Since I brought my car I have already recommended two people to purchase from Royal and they are very happy with their purchases. So sad for Multi they need to step in up if they want to stay in business.
I drive by Multi CHev several times a week and noticed a service truck in back of the yard. I contacted the dealership through the internet to get pricing and financing options. Eileen sent me pics of the truck I wanted, the full listing of the vehicle with pricing and the deal was pretty much done. I stopped in with my wife to look at the truck and ready to sign on the dotted line when I was told the pricing on the truck I wanted was never given to me and if I wanted that truck it would be nearly $9000 more. I explained that I was quoted a price and they needed to honor it but I was told NO and TOO BAD.
THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LIARS> NEVER BUY HERE

mr. pink called on the phone about a box truck.he spoke to eileen who is our internet manager.he said he saw 2 trucks on our lot. one was a box truck and one was a UTILITY VEHICLE. eileen asked me to help her with pricing. i told her to find out if he wants the box truck or the UTILITY VEHICLE.she called him and got back to me that it ws indeed the box truck. she gave him a link to our website to look at the vehicles. we gave him prices on the box truck WHICH WAS 9,800.00 LESS THAN THE utility vehicle. prices were on the web site for both. when we sent him numbers on the box truck we stated what msrp was, and what we would sell it for. not the UTILITY VEHICLE WHICH LISTED FOR 9,800.00 more. i think this was a terminilogical inexactitude on his part. we did nothing wrong and our 45 years in business will attest to that
Fred,
That is complete BS. Eileen did ask about both trucks and I told her that I was interested in the Utility body and NOT the box truck. That is why she sent me the FULL PHOTO LISTING ON THE UTILITY BODY ONLY. She sent NOTHING on the box truck. I requested pricing on the utility body and she decided to send pricing on the box truck. Was this a bait and switch??? We will never know since the honesty level is VERY low at Multi-Chevrolet. By reading other reviews, my point is justified. No skin of my back, I am buying from Nissan because they know what they are talking about. I DON’T need you Fred, buit you sure as hell need the public, aka, ME.
Have a Nice Life
I have encountered several problems with Multi Chevrolet. 1st i bought a 2009 Chevrolet malibu In June and i was told i would get a commission fee if i sent prospective buyers to them to purchase a car either new or used from them. A friend was in the market for a car, i sent him their way and wqent along for the ride to introduce him to my salesperson. I never received a check for this purchase as promised. was lied numerous times saying it is in the mail . A 2nd person and a 3rd was sent by me.They also bought cars as well, i got $75 for the 2nd buyer and $50 for the 3rd buyer (2 amounts?) i still have yet to receive my 1st check which is over 2 years since the purchase with same excuses of in the mail. 2nd problem is with me new car having a clunking sound in the front end with only 1000 miles on the odometer. Told service depat to remedy the problem and was told they were too busy, i asked for a loaner and was told none available but will put me on wait list when it comes available and will call me. It has been 1 year already and still no call but i continue to call thenm 1 timer per month every month! Since then, i now have an appointment to get my car repaired under warranty by another Chevrolet dealership. Now here is my 3rd problem. My son needed a bigger vehcile, he was getting married and wanted an HHr which Multi had in stock. A 2010 model and was told it only has 8000 miles on the odometer. It turned out to have 20,000 miles on it and they refused to lwoer the price and no chance of making good on any warranty issues. But anyway, my son had 6 months remaining on a lease with a Subaru. I explained to Multi that we could not buy the HHR unless they took back the lease, but my son was over miles allowed. The salesperson again told me no problem, they will buy out the lease and accept the car as a trade for the HHR. I repeated to them if they dont waive the miles that the deal was off. They contacted the leasing bank and arrnged to do the deal. they put the dollar amount in writing and we made the deal according to the price agreed upon. My son signed the paers and drove the car home that night. 3 months later we get a bill from the leasing company that my son’s old lease was over miles and they bank wanted $3500! Multi said they dont remember any deal about overlooking the mileage! We had no choice but to pay to get the bank off our back, my son was in the process of buying a home and he could not have this on his credit history. So thanks again Multi Chevrolet for your peace of mind of buying a hassle free car. DO NOT EVER GO TO MULTI TO BUY OR LEASE ANY KIND OF CAR FROM THEM. THEY SHOUDL BE TAUGHHT A LESSON IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOT ONLY DURING BUT ALSO AFTER THEW SALES!
CAR WAS ON WEBSITE AND ON WINDOW STICKER AS A GM CERTIFIED CAR. DEALER WILL NOT HONOR CERTIFICATION BECAUSE PRICE WAS REDUCED. WAS NEVER TOLD BY ANYONE THAT CAR WAS NOT GOING TO BE CERTIFIED. STAY AWAY FROM DEALER VERY DISHONEST AND SHADY. WILL NEVER BUY A CAR AGAIN FROM THEM OR GM
mr joe adams purchased a 2008 tahoe from me which was certified at the price of $32,995.00 he negotiated the sale price down to $31,600.00. not certified his buyers order states that the vehicle was sold WITH THE BALANCE OF THE MFG 5 YEAR 100,000 MILE WARRENTY. ONLY. he is a service manager at a dealership in his area.he negotiated of the selling price and was told it would not be certified at this price
I brought my 2000 Blazer in to their dealership to have the engine replaced with a NEW GM engine because I wanted a full warranty to go along with it. A year and 5 months later and less then 6000 miles on the NEW GM engine the timing case cover started to leak engine oil.
I brought it back to them to repair it and they told me it wasn’t covered under the NEW GM engine warranty! According to their warranty it is clear without a doubt that this NEW GM engine came with a 2 year warranty or 24,000 miles. I even spoke with a technician in Detroit and he told me they would cover some of the repair costs.
I spoke to my lawyer and he said it is in black and white in the warranty that this should be covered 100%! The dealership is playing hardball and not honoring the warranty of which they had no problem charging me for!
Anyone who is reading this please do NOT use this dealership for anything! The way this dealership and their management handled this is appalling after spending $6411.00 for a NEW GM engine with it’s “Genuine Parts” Warranty!
It appears the “Genuine Parts” Warranty is not worth the paper it was printed on.:mad::mad::mad:
I called Multi on a car I had seen listed on Cars.com to confirm the car was still available and the overall condition. I spoke with Ashley who confirmed the car was available and she gave me a walk around evaluation of the vehilce. I told her I was coming from Pa. to see the car and she offered to hold the key for me until I got there. She told me she would give me a call in the event someone else came into to look at the vehilce so I could leave a deposit securing the car from sale to someone else until I got there giving me the first option to buy it. I made the trip and I was not disappointed. The car was as described and I was able to negotiate a great price. 🙂 The only issue I had was that I had to get the car reinspected in Pa. The car passed as promised with no issues. Just remember a NJ state inspection is only good in NJ.
I purchased a used 2010 FJ Cruiser from Multi Chevy. The Manual and extra key were missing. I was told the original owner was going to drop them off the following day. It’s been nearly a month and I still havent heard from them. One would assume if you spend 30k at a dealership the least they could do would be to provide any missing items. I am deeply dissapointed in their lack of care. As soon as you sign the papers and leave, they could care less about you. Also they tried to give me $3,900 less for my trade in. They showed me a fake Blue Book value but im not stupid. I had my own value chart from KBB. I didnt trade in my vehicle.
Do Not Go To This Dealership! One big NIGHTMARE of an experience. Saleman was friendly and got a good price, but then I found out why. Someone put a ton of miles on this car AFTER our deposit was made. No one gave us answers. Was PROMISED a certain interest rate the day of deposit and then was given one almost 3 points higher the day of sale. Parts that were broke and were supposed to be replaced prior to pick up never were. Other parts were disguised to look fixed only later to find out that they weren’t. Drove all the way up to have one part fixed/installed after they said they received it; then when we got there they “couldn’t find it in the back.” Even had the gull to hit us up with an extra fee 2 weeks after the sale when picked up plates. We’ve wasted so much time…so much stress…had to contact better business bureau. 2 months and already trying to replace the car. Should’ve never went through with it. Even if they switch out this car like were trying to, the damage is done…. Save yourself the headache
 We would not recomend this dealer to anyone. We traveled over 120 miles and wasted 4.5 hours of our time not to mention gas and tolls amounting to over $40 only to find out the car we drove there for was not available. We contacted the dealer via the internet interested in a specific car. We received a call from a woman the next day explaining the car had a deposit on it. They called us back a day later saying the car was still available although we had previous knowledge of the status of the car from the call a the day before. This time the girl explained the deal fell through and if we are still interested we could see the car on Saaturday. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME, NOT WHAT I WANT OR EXPECT FROM A DEALER I AM GOING TO BUY A CAR FROM.
