I bought my Ford Taurus from Rowe Ford with a lifetime powertrain lifetime warranty – in fact we traveled 1 1/2 hours because they were running this promotion. It turned out to be a big scam. Although the sales rep said that we would have to have regular maintenance done on the car (“No problem!”) at a certified garage (“No problem there, either!”) he failed to mention that we would be required to call for authorization every time we took our vehicle for maintenance. (Imagine having to call for permission every time you needed an oil change!):mad: So two years later when our transmission went, we were basically told “Tough luck. You should have read the fine print!” This after the service guy told us to bring it on down without asking any questions about the vehicle (it is not cheap to tow a car from Sidney to Westbrook). I couldn’t even get them to tow the car back to me for my troubles. I wouldn’t recommend Rowe Ford to my worst enemy. Thumbs down!
My back window rear defrost was not working. I went and came out with what were lines filled in on the back of my windshield with white glue and hand painted (crocked) lines. The job was not great and did not work (Sharons Team and no complain about customer service, at this time). I went back got it refixed and was told it was not going to work that well and he would’ve done this, but he was not getting involved and I should go back to Sharon. Whoever this guy was (another team leader) who just threw Sharon and her team under the bus was an ass!! I payed 200.00 for this and when I found out what a new window would cost which was around 228.00. I asked the “Team Leader” why I was not offered a new window and he said it would not really cost 228.00 it has kits and it would take a really long, long time? I know I got bad customer service because I usally get a call just after my visit and guess what? I did not get that call..more back customer service. Hide the problem unlike the back window I can not hide.
