Needless to say this dealer is the one everyone warns you about! They hide issues with their products and then lie and deceive to get you to buy and leave, once you’ve left they continue to lie and ignore you. Please DO NOT use this dealership, if you do, make sure you have everything in writing before signing any contracts to buy or sale anything.
My wife and I had done our extensive research on the vehicle we wanted and were making it down our list to the dealerships where the products were located. We had a hard time finding the used portion of this dealership, so we had to call to get directions. While we were on the phone they asked what car and time we wanted to view. After a long drive from town to town, as their used dealership is in a completely different town than the new dealership, we arrive to the car we wanted to see sitting in front of the used dealership waiting and running. One might think “oh, how wonderful, they pulled it up for us and warmed it up for us”, NOT, they knew things were wrong with it and performed temperary fixes, this will come later. After an extensive negotiation, in which they did not want to come down on their over priced end at all and expected us to give away our vehicle, with our sales person (who was giving me a headache cause she would NOT shut up) and her manager, Greg, we finally came to an agreement. We had to drive all the way back to the new dealership, because the used dealership does not have the correct personnel to complete the paperwork needed…..wait on the financial personnel, because he’s got multiple people ahead of us and no one in the waiting room…..complete the contract after a 2 hour wait, our salesperson didn’t even wait, she nicely left to go back to the used dealership and said to contact one of her bosses, Don (who was rude and an ass when we asked about the wait after an hour), with any issues ….and a drive back to the used dealership, another 30 minutes drive of our gas and time, this is the third and final trip of the day, to switch over cars, as the contracts have been signed.
You might think it ends there, you’d be wrong. We empty our old car, get everything in the new. I lock the old and new cars, go inside to drop off the old car’s second key and to get the new cars second none valet key. And of course, the valet key is the only key they supposedly have! This may not be an issue with older cars, but with the valet key on an alarm car it is! The alarm will sound each and every time you unlock the door until you get the key into the ignition (timed right, three very loud and long horn blasts), my neighborhood will love me at 3am going to work. Huh, wander why the car was pulled around and started now! The salesperson said “yeah, we know, you’ll have to deal with it…..” unacceptable, we talked to Greg, the used dealership manager, “oh, well, uh, I’m not sure, uh……”, we finally got them, Greg and his boss (go figure the rude Don) to AGREE to pay for one proper key, as we live over three hours away. Did I forget to mention we gave them TWO FUNCTIONAL KEYS and they did not WANT to give us ONE FUNCTIONAL KEY! The agreement was for us to go to one of our local dealerships and have them program and replace ONE key with the bill going to the used car dealership…..yeah, we screwed up, we didn’t get in our old car and leave, we didn’t get the AGREEMENT in writing (too tired to think by now, it’s late Saturday night), because………
Monday morning, wife goes to the local dealership, key replacement-key costs over $200. The local dealership calls Nissan of St Charles; they will only accept credit card or electronic payment, no mailed checks, for the key. After several hours of ignored calls and my wife getting ‘disconnected’ on a landline, she kept having to call back from different numbers, needing to get back to work, she agrees to pay for the key from OUR personal account and Don at Nissan of St Charles will insure that check will be sent to us that day in the mail when they receive the invoice by FAX, want to guess what happens next……
Tuesday morning, wife calls Don at Nissan of St Charles to insure faxed invoice was received, he said it was and the check was made and sent in the mail……
ONE FULL WEEK LATER, NO CHECK! This may come as a surprise, but the money spent on that key was meant for my families groceries for the week…..Wife and I are starting to get hungry, our kid is eating at grandma and grandpa house……and the car doesn’t want to start in morning, it’s really hesitating, I’m wondering how long before it doesn’t start at all.
My review may be harsh, but if your going to do business with Nissan of St Charles, please cover your bases completely or you will end up bent over! I highly suggest not trusting a word that comes out of either of the below managers mouths.

If we somehow end up getting a check for the key in the mail, I’ll be happy to retract this review, but how likely is that?
