I bought the car in Sept. of 2010 at a high interest rate. 9 months later I refinanced at a much lower intereste rate and was told by my bank that GAP insurance is pro-rated and to contact the dealership about a refund. I did this and was told what information was needed. I promptly did this. That was in July. I was told that they mixed up my paperwork and it was never submitted, but was promised that the check would be issued Oct. 3rd of 2011 because of the delay. As of today Oct. 7th 2010, I was told it would be issued next Monday (which is a holiday). My bank told me that I was most likely being jerked around because they don’t want to pay….so 3 months later I am still without my GAP refund. It’s hard to believe anything anyone tells me at Nisson of Norwich. In the meantime, the sales person keeps calling me to purchase a new vehicle……I don’t think so.
Took the drive from Providence to Norwich (1 hour) to see a 2008 Scion xb (5 speed) for my daughter. The sales representative told me it was in great shape and I wouldn’t be wasting my time.
When I saw the car I could see it had been repainted (poorly) on one side. The front bumper was not attached properly and the body panel gaps were uneven. It was likely in an accident, but the Carfax came up clear. The inside was dirty too.
I decided to test drive it anyway to get a feel for these vehicles. The car barely moved because the clutch was slipping so badly. It was not roadworthy.
It’s hard to believe this dealership would even show such a car in this condition. I could not get out of there fast enough.
Very disappointed. I would never go back.
I purchased a 2008 certified preowned Altima with an extended wrap around warranty from Nissan of Norwich. For two weeks I kept bringing the vehicle back to them complaining of a rough ride at speed in excess of 50mph. After getting a run around from this dealer I brought the car into Goodyear and had them install four new matching tires. There I was informed the car was sold to me with a bent rim. I notified the dealer and they requested I bring the car in where they confirmed the rim was bent. They said a new rim was $600 and I had to pay half, which I declined. This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Still shocked that this type of behavior still exists at dealerships.
I came in with my daughter who is a college student and works and had no credit. This was about 9 months ago. No-one at the dealership would work with her even with the sales pitch of no money down, no credit, etc. I called several times and Sammy made it work. Which it should have according to the advertisement but he can do it. Go Sammy!!!!;)
go Sammy……go Sammy…..go Sammy….go Sammy
