Well I bought a 2003 ram truck that had a 21 point inspection I hadn’t driven the truck 1000 miles and the engine blew due to the sludge in it I had to pay 1900 dollars of my own money to have a new engine put in because thier warranty company they sell sucks.Stay away frOm this place!!!!! That sell crap.
Good salesmen. From there it goes down hill. Managaement looks down on customers. Service is not only bad but the animals are running the zoo. Purchased a 2009 Dodge Journey. Had to have all warrenty repairs repeated at a dealer 50 miles from home. Can’t even make an oil change appointment (Just bring the car in). Customer can wait until they get around to it. Dodge and Chrysler resonse “take it to another dealer. Cannot do anything about Nabor Dodge’s responses to your problems. Nabor Management responses to any problems is a shrug of their shoulders. Be ready to go through the pressure managaer for additional add-ons, etc. upon purchase of the car. On my last visit to Nabor Dodge, due to the door being open I heard the service manager tell the mechanic “get his car together and get him out of here”. WhenI questioned him about what he said, he replied, “nothing”. I let it go at that. The repair problem was not corrected and again I was told by Chrysler and Dodge to go take it to another dealer (no help at all). The other dealer did make a slight adjustment and cured the problem. I will never, never buy a car from Nabor Dodge in Shallotte or have anything to do with their dealership.
I bought a dodge ram 1500 at this dealership less than two months ago I have not driven it 2000 miles and the engine has gone out and now it has been sitting at a dealership in Macon Ga for 4 weeks I hope they will make things right will keep posted
We used the service department for a tune-up and oil change for our 2005 Dodge Caravan. Jerry, the service manager, said it would take 2.5 hours to complete. Five hours later, it was done. Several hours in the process, our van sat unattended on the rack. Jerry could not explain why no one was working on it, why it was taking so long, or why it was so expensive. We were charged $670.79 for a) oil change, b) alignment, c)new tie rod, and the mysterious d) tune up. ALMOST SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS and FIVE HOURS. It was over $400 in LABOR ALONE. My husband was irate, and he is a man who never gets upset about anything. Jerry misrepresented his service and the time it would take. We asked IN THE MORNING if we should just drop it off and he said it was fine to stay, he’d have it out in 2.5 to 3 hours. There were several other irate customers waiting for service in their lousy waiting room. Not only will we never go back, but we will tell everyone we know about this.
Naber Dodge sold me a vehicle with a lemon buyback title, showing me a false clean title. I did not find out until my dealer tag was about to expire and the DMV said they could not issue a tag on a lemon buyback. I tried to be as amicable as possible with the sales manager, but he insists on speaking to his customers in a very condescending tone. I am not sure if it is because I am a woman or not, but according to other reviews, the sales manager has received complaints from other women. Unfortunately, my experience did not end there. The sales manager called me later to tell me that I owed Naber Dodge money for the first payment on the loan that was void because they illegally sold me a car!
He then raised his voice at me and told me that I was not cooperating with him.
I pass this along to hopefully avoid anyone else having to deal with this dealership. The sales manager told me upfront that they do not run CarFax reports on trade-ins or any used vehicles because it would cost too much, so buyers beware!
The salesperson was fine to deal with and very accommodating, no problems at all. But from there, things fell apart. As an educated consumer, I have never been low-balled on my trade in value as much as I was here. But worse than that was thr whole attitude of the Sales Manager and General Manager……condescending, sarcastic and totally unreasonable. I felt ganged up on and was spoken to like I was a naughty child….this when I am professionally employed with 2 college degrees, and walked into that dealership with the title to my trade in hand, financing in place and ready to make a deal that day. I overheard comments by them in addition to what I was being told to my face that were rude and inappropriate. If they called me back today with an offer to give me the car I was looking at for free, I doubt I would go back there. And it’s too bad, because of the extensive shopping I have been doing over the last 2 weeks, this salesperson was far and away the easiest to deal with.
The service department has been a question mark in my mind also. I looked at a couple of supposedly “thoroughly checked out” cars and found significant problems with both of them.
Hopefully someone will conduct some sensitivity training with the sales and general managers here, because in this economy, there aren’t a lot of car buyers out there. And while there may be fewer Chrysler dealerships around, there are still no less than 10 other dealerships within a reasonable drive of Naber Dodge, so I have plenty of options.
UPDATE: As expected, a day after I left in anger, the salesperson called back with a new offer, which is still out of line pricewise but better. My husband is totally disinterested in dealing with them, but is curious about whether or not I would be spoken to the way I was yesterday if he accompanied me back. I am undecided about whether or not I am going to go back…..this has been a very negative experience. I would quite like to deal with this salesperson…he has been good from the start…too bad he doesn’t go to work at a dealership where the management doesn’t cause the salespeople to lose sales.
They are scam artist selling wrecked, flooded, lemon law, and branded tittle cars / trucks, that are way over priced and giving people false carfax about them.
