I am 52 years of age and have been dealing with car dealerships for many years. Two years ago I purchased my first Toyota from Modern (when gas prices were out the roof). The experience of the purchase was “outstanding”. I advised the salesperson of my request towards the package I was looking for. The package was difficult since I was requesting “the minimal” perks. My vehicle was at another dealership, but was transferred to Modern for the purchase the next day. There was also “minimal” haggling with the salesperson to get the price I was wanting. As always, there is a BUT! Here it is. But, after 2 years with my vehicle, I had to take it to the service department for the first time. As being the UNLUCKIEST person in the world, I was expecting nothing to be repaired on my vehicle as well as having to put up with employees that really don’t want to be there. Boy was I fooled! This experience was GREAT! After pulling up to the service department, I was greeted within 30 seconds by the nicest service person I have ever met. He listened to all of my problems and took notes. The next day, I was called by the same service person to advise me that my vehicle was ready. When I arrived, he remembered me, again greeted me “by my name”, advised me of the repairs done and had my vehicle brought to me. And guess what? IT WAS FIXED! I have been a “DODGE MAN” for many years, but I am now converted. I love my vehicle and all of my experiences with Modern have been outstanding. My next purchase may be a “flop” (with my luck), but I will have to return to Modern to find out. Dan B – Lexington, NC
I have taken my car to have service done at Modern Toyota on several occasions and have found the experience to be very positive. I purchased my car through this dealership and all of my initial maintenance was included in the purchase (first several oil changes, 5,000 mile check-up, 10,000 mile check-up). The drive-through service check-in process is extremely efficient and well organized. Every time I have taken my car for a service appointment, I have chosen to stay at Modern Toyota to wait for my car to be ready. The waiting room is comfortable and pleasant. It is well stocked with complimentary soda, coffee, and reading materials. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable and service is completed quickly. I will not hesitate to take my Scion to them for future maintenance needs.
