This dealer is a member of the Costco auto program, so I was not hesitant to buy the vehicle from them. The promises were initially high. The car 2013 Kia Sorento lasted three weeks. It mysteriously would not start in the driveway one morning. Kia roadside assistance was great, they set up an towing service and towed it to the dealer later that afternoon. They called later saying that the car was ready and that the solenoid wire had pulled loose from the starter and that the car was ready for pickup. This really didn’t sound likely, since solenoid wires are machine crimped and tightened, but I wasn’t going to push the matter.
Since the dealer is over fifty miles away, I asked the general manager (Gilbert) if they would top off the tank for me, so that I could drive the vehicle home. seemed a reasonable request, after only three weeks of ownership, besides the tank was already half full. He told me to hold on, put me on hold, then hung up on me. I called back, and got the answering machine saying that the dealership was closed. I called back again and got someone in detail who said that he would pass message along. I got no return call from Gilbert or the dealership. I will be calling Kia customer support in the morning to take the issue up with them. I would suggest you do your homework before buying from this dealership.
