Avoid this place at all costs.
Jennifer you never called me back. Every employee at this dealer doesn’t care about resolving customer problems.
However they do love to lie, and to propose a transmission flush for a RX that doesn’t have the ability to be flushed. Did you know that Lexus with the WS transmissions do not need to be flushed? Yet I was told my transmission was dirty, and damaging the car.
So many problems with this company. They are the worst dealer I have ever been too. If you go to them, you will be sorry.
This dealership deserves 0 stars. The worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced from a car dealership. I’m an out of state buyer of a used car and their salesmen Sonny Yep misrepresented and flat out lied about the condition of the car. Avoid that guy at all costs. And a general manager Eugene Woods that will not even return your calls or emails. Avoid these folks as they treat you like garbage. If you’re in the market for a used car, do yourself a favor and avoid this dealership.
Take your own risk, make sure spend a few days inspecting the car of interest in case you decided to buy anything from this dealer. Lastly, stay away from my Sales as much as you can although he can seem like a nice-guy, a completely different joker post-Sales. Be prepare of the hidden $1000 “service fee” they will imposed on you in addition to the markup on Internet or wherever else.
Oh, one tip – prepare to stop by in person a lot even though you don’t intend to do this because they will make you do it. And inspect all windshields make sure they all say Lexus unless tell him to replace it. Another tip – if you ain’t happy with the Sales, I was advised to contact Lexus Corp.
THEY SELL WRECKED/REPAIRED CARS WITHOUT FULL DISCLOSURE, AND THEN LIE. Through personal experience I found that the way they sell cars below the competition is that they sell vehicles that have been previously wrecked. Not badly enough that it would show on CarFax or AutoChek. I purchased a 2010 RX350 that John Palmieri assured me was never involved in a wreck, so I flew to NY to buy the car. I was anxious to get on the road since I had a pretty long drive home (NY to Pittsburgh). After waiting 3 HOURS, they brought the car in the garage in a tight parking space next to other cars. As best I could under the circumstances (and in less than desirable light), I tried to look the car over. I said to John that it looks like the one fender was repainted, becuase the paint had the look of ‘orange peel’ – not real bad, but evident. He said I was wrong–that the whole car looks that way. I thought, hey-I’m dealing with a Lexus dealership with a car that only has 15k miles, surely he would not lie to me. Wrong.
I drove the 350 miles home and was excited to show my wife her new car. I pulled in the garage and found that the front bumper had popped off. This was pretty evident that the car was wrecked, repaired and the bumper was never clipped properly. I took it to my body shop and he showed me under “painters lights” that the fender that I questioned was repainted as well as the whole front bumper, because the paint didn’t even match. He also showed me an apparent scrape on the back fender that showed signs of rust that they just DABBED TOUCH-UP PAINT! He said this was going to be a big problem id I didn’t get it taken care of.
I called & e-mailed John, the salesman, WHO WOULD NOT TAKE MY CALL OR RESPOND TO MY E-MAIL (very frustrating). I called and talked to Keith Brotherson, Sales Manager, who more or less said that is why I got such a good deal. If he would have fixed it properly he would have had to ask more for the car. I said that after I pay the $2,000 to have it fixed correctly, it is no longer a good deal. I could have bought one locally without the airfare, gas, tolls, mileage & time!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP>
Larry I certainly understand your frustration – John Palmieri is FOS no pun intended, I’d suggest you escalate this with Lexus Corp to get the problem resolved or at the very least let them know how poor this dealer is and hear an apology from the Lexus Corp because no one at this place apologies for any of their wrongdoings and dishonesty! A bunch of jokers at best. I’m not ashamed to tell you this is precisely what I did when I found out my 09 ES350’s front windshield was a piece of crap they installed, and John as usual would not respond despite his apparently ‘nice’ guy demeanor. I have yet to hear back from their GM Eugene Woods who seems to be a quite reputable guy from this forum called Club Lexus (keyword: bay ridge lexus sucks).
