Things started out okay, in fact we thought they were very nice and helpful, but once the transaction was over and we learned that they sold us the wrong car because of misleading advertising, (a lower model for a higher model price), they treated us like we were in the wrong. We were shopping online for a specific trim/model of a vehicle and they had a listing that fit all of our search parameters. We went to the dealership believing that we were shopping for the vehicle that they had advertised — our intention was to make sure it was running well and we would be happy with the purchase. However, come to find out, they had advertised the higher model but they actually sold us the lower model (a $5,000+ difference in MSRP). That same night when we made the discovery, we immediately called them. Their response was — oh, that must have been a mistake on the listing… there’s nothing we can do about that. And according to them, since we had spent time with them at the dealership, we “should have asked more questions” to verify what we were shopping for was what they had listed. It was a used vehicle, the ONLY ONE of its kind on the lot. So it wasn’t like we had looked at a lot of the same vehicles but different models — they falsely advertised the one they had. They purportedly pride themselves on customer service and how “honest” they are in their dealings with customers… don’t believe it for a minute! They wouldn’t take the vehicle back nor would they reimburse us for the difference in price from what they should have charged for the lower model.
This was my experience — please take my advice and do not give them your business. I would hate for them to take advantage of anyone else like they did to us.
I am not pleased with Lewisville Volkswagen. I had gone in for a ‘Service Now’ light on my vehicle. I only drive 200 miles a week. I had only put on about 1200 miles since my last oil changed with the correct oil were I usually have oil changes done. I received a quote of slightly over 500.00 for the service on my EOS. I said I had the oil changed 6 weeks earlier and did not want my oil changed.
When I came in to pick up my car I was charge over 600.00 for the services. They had changed my oil only after 1200 miles which showed on the sticker on my car. They did not listen to me when I said I did not want a oil changed, I am very disappointed. They said they would put a free oil change on my account for next time? The first time I took my EOS in this spring I received great service under warranty. Now they are adding charges not requested. Not a good business at all.
Decided to spend a little time in the service department waiting area and speak to some customers. Glad I did. Very disappointing. Helped me decide not to buy again from them right then and there.
Eric was great, he actually was on the sales side when I purchased my vehicle from VW, so it was nice to know that I would be taken care of. The VW dealership in Lewisville is always a pleasure, the staff is extremely friendly and I have told many people about what an outstanding job they do!
Joe is a very good sales consultant – good people skills and is not overly aggressive.
I’m a soldier on leave going to see family before a development and was traveling through town when my car acted up. I called other dealerships who told me they would NOT be able to look at my car for up to a week. When I told this dealership they understood my situation and looked at my car the very next day. Thank you!
I would DEFINITELY recommend this dealership, for some reason it saved my response as no.
Arrived on a Saturday with unscheduled service. My car issue was handled promptly and professionally. Drove away an hour later fully satisfied. Great Service Department.
You have an outstanding service tech named Tim. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a last name, but please tell him thank you. He always made us feel welcome and had no problem repeating our repair issues over (4-5), before we could actually have them done. His knowledge, patience and providing excellent customer service was very much appreciated. I will definitely be back for any service needs and gladly recommended to all family and friends.
Mike Cook has been my service consultant for over three years and I am very pleased with his honesty and pleasant and professional attitude. A good guy and a valuable asset to your organization for sure.
I am very happy with the service I get at your dealership.
This dealers service department is truly the worst. They will not answer questions. They won’t admit a problem exists. They won’t fix the car right the first or second time. They break things when they work on your car. They charge you for things they don’t do to the car. But they will always be ‘nice’ to your face, and smile at you while they stab you in the back.
Mike Cook is an outstanding employee. I have been coming to Lewisville Volkswagen since the day I bought it because of Mike. I now live in Forney and still make the trip over to Lewisville for him to service my car because he is exceptional and actually cares about his customers.
The absolute worst experience ever for trying to buy a car. Bait and switch, adding fees twice to the price you name they tried it. And after they tried to screw us and we wouldn’t let them, the threated us kick our ass and told us to get the “FXXX” out!
I love Mike Cook! He is the reason why I went back to Lewisville VW for my service needs with my new Beetle Convertible. He is warm, courteous and generally loveable! Awesome guy!!!
This was probably the best experience I’ve ever had with dealership service. Jesse Salas and the service department exceeded just about all of my expectations (which were admittedly pretty low from experiences with other dealerships service departments). They did everything right and then Jesse even helped take care of my rental car even after I used a different rental location than the dealership’s preferred location. The technician’s noted were impressively thorough and well-written. I will definitely be coming back to Lewisville VW to service my VW in the future.
There is at least one VW dealership closer to my residence (and maybe two) – Lewisville VW is over 30 miles away. Despite the distance, I continue to bring my GTI to Lewisville for service. I have been treated very well each and every time I come in – it is more like dealing with friends than a business.
Mike Cook was my most recent service adviser, and went well above and beyond in making sure my car was serviced promptly, properly, and that I was happy the first time. As long as I own my VW I will be going to Lewisville VW, and also making sure that all my friends and family are aware of what a great dealership Lewisville is, for both sales and service.
Thanks!
This dealership and all of the employees there were very considerate and polite! I was very pleased with all of my service and will definitely use them again. Very Pleased!
Some of the best service and car experiences I’ve ever had have been at this dealership. It’s excellent!!!
The sales consultant that worked with me (Joe Downs) was patient, courteous, and treated me with respect. I visited the showroom on two different occasions and although on one of the visits he was with a customer, he arranged for another sales consultant to work with my husband and myself, until he was available.
The sales experience was consistent with the service that I have grown accustomed to over the past 6 years of having my beetle serviced at Lewisville Volkswagen.
A close friend of mine recommended that I contact Tim Larsen (my service advisor) for an overhaul of my recently-purchased used car. Tim thoroughly understood the technical aspects of the repair I needed, but he also took the time to explain details that I didn’t fully understand. Best of all, Tim helped me select which repairs I could afford within my budget, steering me towards the most critical items first. From drop-off to pick-up, Tim delivered a solid presence of customer advocacy without ever being unctuous, and I am very thankful for his assistance.
Sherry Gilpin, Tim’s Service Manager, deeply impressed me by accommodating my difficult circumstances without revealing any sense of inconvenience. I’m probably no the most affluent of her customers, yet she delivered a level of dignity and respect that exceeded my high expectations. I am also grateful for everything Sherry did to make my rapiers a reality.
Overall, I’m highly satisfied, the repairs certainly seemed expensive to me – but as I said, I’m not very wealthy and comparison-shopping reveals that Lewisville VW is a good value versus other service providers. In retrospect, m money was well spent, and I’ll be coming back soon for Round 2.
From previous experiences with other mechanics (not at Lewisville Volkswagen), I’m naturally a little distrustful. I was very impressed with the speed of service, and just how remarkably clean my car was when I picked it up. I feel that someone went the extra mile in taking care of my car, the tires were shined, car washed, and I think possibly the dash was wiped down and the driver’s side vacuumed. Either way, I loved it. Thanks!
I would like to thank the service department for really keeping me on track… Not only had they fixed the problem they also washed my car and hand dried so my car wouldn’t have any water spots! Thanks guys!
Mike Cook is my service consultant and he is fabulous! While my car is in the dealership, Mike keeps me advised of any issues and my car’s progress. I really appreciated this last service as my car was washed!!! A nice touch!!
I took my jetta TDI in for the preventative 100,000 mile maintenance, no corrective maintenance needed. The technician incorrectly performed the timing belt procedure which resulted in an additional day delay. However, this is not the real issue. The real issue is that when I went to pick up the car, at their approval, a quick personal inspection revealed that the brake fluid cap was off of the reservoir, the gas door was left open and the engine was filthy. These were only “spot check” items; who knows about the timing belt? Furthermore, the final vehicle checklist was included but was blank. The service manager, Steve Clare, and the shop foreman got involved but after I picked up the car for a second time, the checklist contained all “excellent” ratings. I keep these checklists for my comparison and review which contained very conflicting information from my last service inspection. The end result was that the technician that “blazed off” the inspection paid for a new set of rear brake pads because within one weeks time my rear brake began making the horrid “brake screaming noise.” I am very fortunate for having caught these seemingly little mistakes. The little mistakes, in this case, added up and pointed to much bigger, more severe problems. If you are very trusting of what people tell you or are not a skeptical person, in regards to your car, would you be as fortunate?
I wanted to take a moment to let you know how impressive my recent visit was to your service department and dealership. A couple years ago I bout a 2005 Jetta for my son from a private seller. Last week it was having an overheating problem and I was able to determine it had water pump failure.
First of all, it was surprising to find that a dealership had the best price for repair. Frankly, most people expect the dealership to do a really good job but also be among the most expensive choice. The price I was quoted on the phone was detailed to me by Dwane Jones and he explained the entire service to be done and priced it included taxes. I was very encouraged to be able to have my son’s car repaired by a dealership, especially since it was the best price.
Dwane and I set an appointment time on Saturday and the drop off of my Jetta was quick and painless. A couple hours later Dwane called me to inform me of the status of the repair and to let me know of additional items to note for immediate or future repair. A couple hours later he phoned me to let me know the repairs were complete ant the vehicle was available for pick up.
Much like the drop off, Dwane made sure the pickup was seamless and efficient. Everyone was courteous and helpful. My bill was slightly less than was quoted ant he car was cleaned upon delivery.
The reason I have taken the time to write to you is most people expect surprises when having their car repaired; unfortunately they are almost always bad surprises. My experience had several surprises, but in this case they were all good. For as hard as it is to pay $850 in repairs for a car in this economy, I am thankful it goes to a dealership and service department that more than earned the money.
Just as I have taken the time to write this note, I will take the time to tell this experience to other people. I also intend to return to Lewisville Volkswagen for all future service and purchases for any VW product.
Lastly, I hope it is clear that Dwane Jones is tremendous asset to your team and I hope you take a moment to let him know.
I really appreciate all that Lewisville Volkswagen has done for me and mainly Greg my sales person. I want you to know that I have gone over the manual, front and back, before I even got the car. So don’t feel bad I wouldn’t let you show me anything, believe me I know… lol!
I also wanted to let you know that in the car business is quite tricky… and at any time of the process of financing I did not feel like there were any overpriced or games… I have never liked buying/leasing cars and the sales person can make ALL the difference. The last 2 cars I’ve gotten from Lewisville Volkswagen and both experiences have been seamless and pleasant. I’m glad my friend put me in contact with you. Thanks again for everything and know, you get 5 stars on all points from me!
This is a company car and I was NOT a big fan of VW before my experience with your service department and more specifically Sherry. I owned a Lexus prior to me getting this company vehicle and I was convinced that no one could beat their service department. I was wrong. This type of service demands to be noticed and as far as I’m concerned I would actually consider buying a VW because of your awesome service department. Thank you Lewisiville Volkswagen!
My service experience at Lewisville Volkswagen is always top notch! Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable service managers! I also appreciate how they always provide progress and completion updates as promised! I will definitely recommend this dealership to my family and friends!
Times are tough with the present economy, however we need our vehicles to perform well. Mike is a wonderful person to have in your corner because, you believe he has your back! That is probably the number “one” good feeling we have! Service rep and service manager went above and beyond their responsibility to solve my car issues as well! Outstanding job! Thanks
I made an error of rating it 3 stars. I went back and rate it 5 stars because that was what I meant to do in the first place:p
I just wanted to let you know that this is my 3rd Jetta that I have bought from Lewisville VW and the Sales Consultant Jonathan C. was by far the best sale consultant that I have ever had to deal with. My father and I were just in the area and came to get a price check on some panels that were fading on my 2007 Jetta. My father just wanted to look and see if there were any good deals on the new Jetta just since we were there and were not in the market for looking for a new car until we met Jonathan C. Jonathan was very polite I nor my father has never dealt with a car salesman as pleasant and courteous as he was. My father was there with me during my purchase and I have to admit that he is not the easiest person to get along with when it comes to sale since he is in the business himself! However, Jonathan was able to communicate with him on a business level and was very professional. Because of Jonanthan, I think that is the only reason my father was not hesitant with looking into getting me a new car! Jon followed up with me several times since my purchase a week ago which I find it very nice, since the last two Jetta that I bought I never heard back from anyone once I drove off the lot! Thank you again for the great first impression!
Lee McDaniels did an excellent job in sales. He and his boss bent over backwards to assist me in the purchase of my 2010 Volkswagen Jetta. You should most definitely go see Lee at Lewisville Volkswagen! 😉
My experience was the best car buying experience I’ve EVER had. My salesman, Jonathan, was absolutely wonderful. Jonathan was very attentive, friendly, and sensitive to my situation and needs. The finance department was also friendly, sensitive, and very knowledgeable; they really wanted to help me. I felt like all the staff at Lewisville VW cared and understood my unique circumstance and truly wanted to help me. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
I just brought my Beetle in for its 36,000 mile service appointment. My service advisor what outstanding I think his name was Aaron, anyway he couldn’t have been nicer or more informative. The service there was much faster and cheaper than most other places. I haven’t found anyone else in town that treat me like these people did and with the prices and convenience. The work was completed in one day! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I didn’t purchase my car from here because I was living in Florida at the time but you can bet the next time I am in need of a vehicle this will be my first place to stop!
I am 100% pleased to give a genuine recommendation for Lewisville Volkswagen located in the heart of DFW! I have looked and looked for a 2010 metallic blue Volkswagen EOS convertible and I found an absolute beauty. I messed up my credit while I was in college but to my surprise they hooked me up with a awesome monthly payment since I had a pretty large down payment that I had been saving. My salesman even made a follow up call to me the day after my purchase to make sure I still liked everything OK. The car is spectacular and I know I will be shopping there in the future!
Absolutely thrilled about my brand new 2010 Volkswagen Touareg.
My husband and I bought this SUV this past weekend and took it out for a long drive and got back last night…
I have got to be a raving fan about Lewisville Volkswagen because not only did we get an incredible vehicle but the best deal. We shopped online quite a bit and visited a few but no one gave us the special care that Lew Volkswagen did. We owe it to them. Outstanding customer care.
My recent purchase with Volkswagen is my first and the last given my experience with Lewisville Volkswagen. I purchased a certified pre-owned Volkswagen from there. All of the selling information, website and stickers, advertised it as a CPO. The fact that I would not have to worry about service for two years was the main selling feature about the car. A month after purchase, the Beetle needed to be taken into service for the first time. I was told over the phone by the sales manager after I had dropped it off that he could not find paper work stating we had a warranty. I told him I had purchased it as a CPO so it had a two year warranty. He told me the car didn’t come with a warranty – it was something extra I had to purchase. That was not how the car was sold to me. It was always sold under the pretense it would be covered for two years. I asked even as I signed the paperwork and was assured that was true. Needless to say, I am very unhappy with my treatment from this dealer. I would not recommend doing business with Lewisville Volkswagen.

I purchased a vehicle today from Lewisville Volkswagen and I have to say I am very pleased! We’ve purchased over 20 cars and this was the best experience we’ve ever had HANDS DOWN! Our salesman Kyle was fantastic, very helpful, not pushy, understood what our situation was and what we were looking for and made it happen. The finance manager, James was equally wonderful. Usually I DREAD buying a car and especially dealing with the finance people, they usually try and sell you everything and anything they can, but he understood we were on a budget, wasn’t pushy and was extremely helpful. The best part of this is that we were in and out of there in less than two hours (well we had to leave and come back as we had to pick the kids up but total time spent there was under 2 hours – a RECORD for us). We left feeling appreciated, like we had gotten a great deal, and very satisfied with the whole experience. I would HIGHLY recommend this dealership!!!!!!
We were not treated as a potential customer, or with any degree of integrity or honesty. We were not told the truth and I would not recommend this management team to any of my friends or customers. Being a business owner I treat all my customers with respect and honesty even if they choose to go elsewhere. Our salesperson Patrick was very nice, but not the manager or the receptionist who answered the phone.I am glad this happened because it saved us from many future promblems in regard to this dealership.
