Worst dealership experience I have ever had in my life. Came in already approved to buy a car – just needed to finalize our decision. We were originally working with Dennis and everything was going smoothly – aside from my first encounter with Mr. Peck the man who lost our sale. One minute after returning to lot after our test drive, Mr. Peck came over and immediately began belittling not only our original sales representative who actually had the sale but we hadn’t confirmed yet and my husband and myself. After 30 seconds of conversation with this Mr. Peck and his comment of “If I knew you were considering a used car over Kia I wouldn’t have even let the car leave the lot.” When I looked at him and said “Are you kidding me – you have a sale right here and this is how you are going to talk to us???” He replied hey I don’t want to waste my time. All I could say is “Are you serious right now?” I then went in to speak to the manager – and Mr. Peck followed me in and began arguing with me. I told the manager I had never been treated that way as a customer in my life and Mr. Peck jumped in and said I shouldn’t have wasted his time. I then said to the manager you need to fire this guy he personally lost a sale on somebody already approved when we stepped on your lot. He’s just been an ass hole to us. And this guy actually continued berrating us and said we were Ass holes – again for wasting his time. We left immediately, but I do have one question. Is his job availble – because I’d love to have $20,000 worth of care for my customers that I can throw out the window because I appearantly don’t need it??? What an absolutely ridiculous experience. In today’s economy you would think a sale would matter. But appearantly to Mr. Peck and the manager on duty on 8/24/09 at 10:00am CST at the Lee Kia here in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida – customer service doesn’t matter and neither does making a sale. The best part was – when my husband went back in to get a card with the owners name – the manager actually had the nerve if we were still going to buy the car. At which point my husband responded – yep – but not a chance in hell here. If you are spending your money on such a large investment – go somewhere else – because service doesn’t matter to these people and so I must assume neither does integrity.
Their sales agents are professional. If you are not happy about a particular car after test driving it, you are free to change your mind and more than welcome to test drive another car until you find the car that you will be happy with. They are not high-pressured like this other local dealership we had dealt with(Needless to say, that dealership scared us from even buying a car.)
If you are buying a used car, Lee Chrysler Dodge KIA is honest, in our opinion, to post the CARFAX (history) for FREE on their website. Because of that, we chose to visit them instead of the other local dealerships we had checked out online. Our agent worked with us in getting a fair deal and the staff treated us with respect. We had a pleasant buying experience.:)
