As if it is not bad enough that we have to listen to this dealer’s terrible commercials day and night driving into the lot would be almost unbearable because of the negative vibes beaming off the front of the building and it just gets worse the more you know. Several years ago I purchased my first toyota (camry) and I tried to buy one from this dealer but was unhappy with the service I received. Earlier this year when I decided to purchase a newer model, I decided (fool that I am) that it might go better if I tried simply calling my local dealer for information. Round one- guy tells me he thinks he has exactly what I am looking for will call me right back. Round two- No call….. Round Three-after explaining to receptionist that I did not have sales person’s info they took down my name and number (not that they used it), she decided I should speak to a manager to straighten out issues (cause I am sooo complicated w/ my trying to give them money and business). I am put in touch w/ Corey who tells me he knows exactly who I am and that he DOES have exactly the car I am looking for. He wont talk numbers (even though another dealer did) but he says he does have what I want. So next day I grab my hubby and go to see the vehicle. When we get there I almost run for the street when I see a younger version of the same red monster that pissed me off several years ago (turns out – Corey is the son of the owner-GREAT). The only good thing that I can say about him is that his inexperience has not yet turned him into the arrogant joker his father is. However this clown in training tells me he doesn’t have exactly what we are looking for but he has something he is sure we will like. When I say…ok show me what you have. He looks at Tom (my husband) and says “sure were you wanting something 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive this time” WOW. He did not even take the time to review my list of vehicle requirements enough to realize I needed a car! This dealer also prides himself on being a very community minded individual who treats his customers and employees like friends his slogan is “Where we know you by your name” I have experienced countless times when this pillar of our community has treated its members much worse than I would hope a friend would treat me, insulting our elderly with when they disagreed w/ a service issue, when he was on our school board, he told my neighbor it was not his problem and probably HER fault that she and her child were having problems with the buss driver, he screams and yells at his employees like they are unruly dogs, walks on the backs of others who got him where he is today (his initial 2 partners and numerous employees) just to fire them and act like their accomplishments were his alone. I wish I could at least say they were good at selling cars, but I am left instead feeling warm and cozy (heated seats, leather) with the sounds of my favorite song playing in the background (8 speaker sound system, 6 disk CD) with the road rolling beneath me as I drive pass the Toyota dealer in hassle free smooth luxury (HONDA BABY!!!!!)
