2011 Kia Sedona EX Luxury Review
I LOVE MINVANS! There, I have finally said it out loud and on paper. I have been on the fence for years but one of the many women who want to fight the image of ‘soccer mom’. I have finally seen how functional these vehicles …

very dishonest dealership. caught them lying and being manipulative. do not go there. service department is absolutely horrible. Do not trust service manager Dave Barton. Go to any other Kia dealership and you will be treated much better.
Stay far away from these guys, very shady people.
My Complaint letter:
Attn: Brent McKinlay
This complaint is in regards to the poor level of service I received from one of your sales managers, Mustafa Nazir.
On June 10th I entered your dealership to buy the new KIA Soul with my wife. We are a young family and were impressed with the online ratings for the 2010 Soul, especially in relation to the vehicle’s safety ratings. Our sales person Andre was very friendly and knowledgeable. Having done our research before hand, we were basically sold on the vehicle even before coming into the dealership. We proceeded to negotiate a price and sat down in the sales office with Mr. Nazir to finalize the deal. In the sales office Mr. Nazir tried aggressively to sell us on the rust package as well as other extras. We expected this, albeit not in such an aggressive manner, and declined the extra add-ons offered. When Mr. Nazir handed us the contract to sign, we noticed an extra $1,000.00 charge for “life insurance” with the caveat “if requested”. We informed Mr. Nazir that we were in fact already insured and thus requested no additional insurance. Mr. Nazir then informed us that it was already part of the package and taking it off of the package would not result in any difference in price. As Mr. Nazir explained to us, this was a case of “one pocket to another”, an explanation I still do not fully understand. After arguing with Mr. Nazir for an extended period of time he offered to put the rust protection package on the vehicle free of charge in place of the insurance “so at least you get something”. He explained that we were already getting the vehicle at the lowest price possible and nothing could be done to lower it any more. This was still not acceptable.
The next day I called Mr. Nazir to discuss the matter further. He informed me that if I were to pull out of the deal now “our” vehicle would be towed to my home regardless. I asked him if he was threatening to come to my home if I did not follow through on this alleged “contract” and he again told me that he had “seen it done in the past”. I asked to speak with the manager (Linda Carriere) and he initially refused but finally accepted.
Ms. Carriere informed me that the extras pushed on me by Mr. Nazir were not actually part of the deal at all but rather optional add-ons. Mr. Nazir had flat out lied to me. Ms. Carriere also apologized to me for Mr. Nazir’s behaviour and informed me that Mr. Nazir was from another dealership, with different views on customer service, and that his “re-education” was an ongoing process. This explanation is one I find very disturbing. Is deceitfulness a practice that your dealership will tolerate from its sales managers? Why would Mr. Nazir treat us in this matter?
Ms. Carriere offered to drop the price back down to the advertised price, I agreed to come in on Friday and take a look at the new contract with my wife and re-consider cancelling the contract altogether.
Mr. Nazir’s behaviour is deceitful and frankly despicable. While I fully understand the drive to “make a sale”, ethics should never be compromised as a result. I expected much more from your dealership and will not be recommending your business in the future.
For this reason ,I will not purchase a Kia there either
Noyt until Mr. Nazir is fired
