They sold me a certified toyota which had a rusted chasis, brake lines, exhaust, calipers, all nuts bolts clamps in engine are rusted as well. I did not find out until I took the car in for an oil change at 3,000
miles.
The service manager told me this rust and corrosion was normal for Ohio, I don’t live in Ohio, I live in VA.
Someone asked why I did not get a mechanic to take a look. I thought a mechanic did a 160 point inspection to award the certified toyota designation
I have tried to get help from Toyota Corp and have been told that the dealers are all independent so they can’t help me. To me that means that Certified means nothing and Toyota does not back their vehicle.
This is my 4th vehicle purchase, the first 3 with Ourisman, I should have stayed with them.
I am not going to give up on this. I am going to write a report on any place that I can find to try to help someone else avoid Springfield Toyota.
I went there because they are also called Kay Jennings which I thought meant “woman owned” but she is no longer there so it is not woman owned any longer.
Salesperson is fine. But …
This dealership has very greedy (and partially rood) upper level (Bruce Wilson, General Sales Manager) management style. By this management style you will be treated like nobody (if you already paid them).
In this case I will be very careful making any business with this dealership in the future.
I have had a similar experience.

This place has bad service. I called on 12/07/09 to ask for an appointment for an Oil Change on 12/12/09. Some stupid cow on the phone said that there is NO appointment for oil change anymore. It’s first come first serve. I was surprised when he said that.
Today I came at 12/12/09 to do the oil change. The service rep asked if I had set an apt. I told him no because someone on the phone from this location service department told me there is no need to make an apt. Instead of turning me away, the rep. told me I have to leave my car here all day and call by 3pm.
That is absurd that someone told customer that there is no apt needed, causing me to believe that I came for a free oil change without apt and I have to leave my car all day here because of that. What a prick!
In the past, I called in for apt for the first oil change. The apt was set and I thought I was settle. The day I came to service they said I didn’t set apt because they said they couldn’t find me. They turned me away and I couldn’t get my car taken care that day.
This is the first bad impression on the first service and I thought it’s ok because it’s probably a mistake by someone didn’t save my apt in the system.
