It is a sad day for me to find out about the closing of the closing of Joe Panian Chevrolet, It was the only Dealer that my family would use for purchases and service. The sales team always treated us like family took the time to satisfy any and all question my wife or myself had and never pressured us on anything, and the service team is the best they knew my wife by name and did everything in their power to make her happy witch is a job all by it’s self my hat off to the service dept. All we can do now is hope that they open another in the future.

Joe Panian was not renewed by GM, and for a reason. Poor service during the warranty period led me to never go back there for service or any new car purchase. Final straw was when they charged me for an engine flush and diagnostic that ended up being unnecessary, subsequently promised they would not charge me for these, then charged me for it and refused to rectify when I pointed out the error. Would not return calls or address the issue. A $100 overcharge cost them thousands of dollars later.
Nothing could be further than the truth than this statement…Joe Panian chevrolet was one of the MOST Caring dealerships in Metro Detroit…you cant please all the people all the time…but that dealership NEVER ripped anyone off…most likely why they are not in business anymore…it seems the dealers that are staying on are the more greedy ones…GM shut them down as a political move to reward another dealer that they wanted to PAY BACK… its VERY political and Joe Panian wasnt someone who worked that way…HE PERSONALLY care about each and every customer experience…he was THERE Everyday working with all his employees… he made a good honest living by serving the community for over 28 years… just because you had a bad experience doesnt mean everyone else did…this complaint sounds like complete ignorance…Good Lucky with your truck, sounds like GM built ya a lemon

I’ve received the absolute best service whenever I’ve brought my car into Panian Chevy! They’ve done my regular maintenance work and have always been friendly and professional. I feel like they’ve taken care of my car and me! I recently had some collision work done and they did an excellent job in the body shop too. They really go out of their way to get the work done right, and in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Joe Panian Chevy. When you bring your Chevy to them, they really make you feel like part of a family!
We talked to Jerry on the phone and scheduled an appointment to see a car. When we got there and told him that we have an appointment he said – “You are not going to buy a car – you are wasting my time!!” (sidenote: we have good credit history, had a pre-approved loan from both our credit union and later approved by dealership for the loan, AND we were ready to get the car the same day). After this greeting we had to follow Jerry and CONVINCE him that we were serious! Finally we test drove the car, got financing squared away. At this point we were trying to negotiate the price. We were willing to get the car if he dropped $500 off the price. He never bulged. We walked away. 2 days later when we were checking car prices online we found out that dealership dropped the price by $1000 on that vehicle! When we called Jerry back trying to purchase the car he would not return call right away and dragged time and when he finally called us back, he said the car was sold.
Jerry treated us with complete disrespect. He acted like he was doing us a favor by showing or selling a car. This was a very shocking experience considering state of the affair that GM dealerships are in. We were trying to do our part and buy american vehicle and this is the treatment we got.
Maybe car sales people would not have such a bad reputation if they at least pretended to care about their customers intead of walking away with “you wasting my time” to customers with good credit and intent to buy.
