This is a follow-up to my complaint on Tues. March 19th.When I called on Wed. to talk to the service manager about the bad time I had with Jeff the day before, Scott listened and heard what I said. He said that he did not approve of Jeff’s behavior and he was not happy with the guy who overfilled my oil. He said to bring it back in and they would make sure they reduced the oil in my car. When I arrived, Jeff came out and extended his hand and said that he was sorry that we got off to such a bad start. I shook his hand and apologized too. He agreed to change my oil again and put in Castrol Synthetic oil from a bottle not from the vat of oil that they had previous used. I never wanted oil from the vat but,I was suppose to tell them that I did not want oil from a vat however, I did not even know they used oil from a vat so how would I have known to tell them differently. Anyway, I left with a better feeling than I had so I thought it was only fair that I do this update to be fair. BTW, they charged me for 5 qts. and gave be the rest of the last quart that they did not use this time. Well, hope this helps you know what a customer has gone through with this dealership.
When I had my oil changed by the Service Department at Orchard Park Autohaus today March 19th,2013, I was really dissappointed with Jeff in Service. I asked Jeff how many quarts of oil they had put in my Beetle and he said 5 qts and that is what they charged me for. It was $5.71 a quart. I thought about that when I got home and thought I would wait a while and check the level so when I did, I found that on the dipstick, the oil was way above where the crosshair were. I looked at the diagram in my manual and it tells me that the amount of oil that I am seeing on the dipstick indicates that they did in fact put to much in. I called Jeff and explained to him in detail what I found and he said at first that he did not understand what I was saying. I repeated myself again and he was still acting like he did not know what I was talking about. He said to me, “what was I trying to get out of this?” I was so insulted and hurt. All he would have had to say to me is he was sorry if they overfilled it and to bring it back as soon as possible and they would drain some out. That is all I needed him to say and all would have been fine but, he handled me and this situation in a very bad way. It was his nasty tone and condescending manner that I swore at him because he was treating me that way. I am sorry that I used a swear word but, OMG he is not a person I would have waiting on customers. This is not all that went wrong but, I had to condense it for this space. I will advise everyone I know not to buy a car here or not to take their cars here either. Not happy now. I have to talk to Scott tomorrow cuz he wasn’t there today to talk to. I asked Jeff if I could talk to someone else before the conversation turned bad but he said “NO” because there was no one else to talk to so…we talked and it was a disaster. Jeff should have never talked to me the way he did. Shame on him and this dealership for allowing him to deal with customers. He has no respect for women. He needs help learning how to treat customers. This was a very bad experience.
