After telling our original sales person, what we were looking for, he then brought out the big guy mike once we said we could no afford. He treated me like I was stupid and was insulting. Not only will I never go here, but it this is one of the highest selling dealerships in the country, I feel sadness. I will never own a Hyundai due to the rudeness of this man. We did our homework before we went, and received a false advertisement to “lure” us in, so they could sit us down and insult us.
They don’t back their product. What is the point of a great warranty if they don’t back it. I took my ’04 Sante Fe in to be looked at in ’05 as the clear coat seemed to be gone and was told there is nothing wrong with it. Now my Sante Fe is down to the primer. This is a vehicle with only 60,000 and kept in the garage. Don’t trust this service department.
GO TO AN OLDSMOBILE DEALER TO PURCHASE AN AZERA
I had just gotten out of the hospital so while I was waiting for the doctor to release me to drive post-surgery, I made a phone call to Hyundai of NPR and requested a used car salesperson knowing that as soon as I got the release to drive I’d be buyin a Hyundai Azera. I regret not getting the salesman’s name. When I asked if they had any 2006 Azera’s on the lot (year of the new design and within my budget as well as Consumer Report’s used car year they recommended to purchase)–the salesman said “that’s an Oldsmobile product”. I chuckeled and repeated the name—he interupted me and said “that’s an Oldsmobile”. I then spelled it for him. He said that they sold Hyundai’s, not Oldsmobiles and hung up. Besides being rude, it would be nice if he knew what the Hyundai line was. Plus, even if he thought it was and Olds “product” — maybe someone traded their Oldsmobile Azera in on a Hyundai Cutlass (lol). Hyundai’s sell themselves. It surely is not their salespeople (heard too many stories of how rude they are). Even though I live less than a mile from them, I’m driving to Tampa to make the purchase. :p
Yes,,, my problem has been addressed by the dealer…. Thank you Hyundai of New Port Richey.
put new wheel cylinders on back of car never tightend the line. almost killed me. had to fix myself and not even offerd a free oil change when i went back. of course had to bleed the brake system use my tool:mad:s and fluid;
I parked my clunker and walked up to be ungreeted by this middle eastern looking joker….. he wasnt pleasant or helpful but rude…
i asked to see the Hyundai elantras and he said rudley you are standing next to one… and then pointed across the lot and said theres another one over there…
ok i said…. breathing in and out….
your website stated that you had 22 in stock… his reply was… well how many do you want to buy? and laughed at me…..
finally after i didnt laugh i was shown 5 silver hyundai’s all the same and ask i was asking about the price ect.. he said oh no you wont be able to afford it…. you need to look at the accent…..
well YOU BIG Freaking GOOF i went to another dealership and i am now driving a fully loaded elantra… and guess what it paid for in full…..
I will never ever drive my car into or onto your NPR property….
MY experience at courtesy hyundai was the BEST EVER….
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Purchased a new Sonata 2011.. After a few days, I had problems with the transmission, lots of downshifting affecting performance and breaking. I had other issues as well… none of which could isolated. Hyunday of New Port Richey said they could not find an error code in the computer system therefore, they feel there is no problem. After a new days and just a few hundred miles on the car, I attempted to return the vehicle for a refund. The dealer refused to take the car back and would not return my money…. They basically said, you purchased it, you paid for it, you own it… So the problem is mine….. So, don’t buy a car at Hyunday of New Port Richey… They don’t back what they sell.
I highly recommend this dealer for service. I bought my car in Clearwater at Fizgerald Hyundai. Since I intend to drive the car for 10 years, I keep the vehicle serviced on a regular basis. Fitzgeralds wanted DOUBLE what NPR Hyundai wanted for a 30K mile service. Exact same thing. Plus, NPR Hyundai washes my car, which Fitzgeralds never did when I took my car there.
The other thing with Fitzgeralds is that they have locations up North. So, when I call service, I get routed there. This is another reason why I get my car serviced at NPR Hyundai.
This location has one obnoxious sales person, however, that tries to get me to buy a new car whenever I go in. I tell him to bug off, but he keeps harassing me. There is only one sales person there I would ever ask for, Kevin Fortunato. Kevin will always talk and joke with the customers, but never asks you to buy a car. He seems pretty genuine.
Overall, I highly recommend NPR Hyundai for service.
I purchased a car from them as well. I won’t say a name, but don’t be so sure who is nice and legit. They(and one in particular)will try to deliver more than your car.
Well he’s a complete monster. Look up Tampa Police Department and Kevin Fortunato, what you will find is a profile to his normal character.
Personally I find the New Port Richey is a joke i purchased my 2011 sonata from Fitzgerald and they have been more than family like to me calling me by my first name and taking the time to make sure my car is washed after the service. Best part about Fitzgerald is its 150% guaranteed that they have the best price. I had a friend go up to New Port she paid 23,500 for a SE sonata and I only paid 21,000 needless to say New Port will beat any deal but when they make 6,000 off someone they can afford to almost give a car away to beat Fitzgerald price but if you have the price in writing Fitzgerald will beat it. But guess what you wont walk out of New Port with a written offer because they wont let you? Sounds like something fishy and I dont know about you but I hate Lier and scam artist and sounds like New Port Has figured out how to screw people over and make it sound like there the best do your research when buying and make the right choice Fitzgerald Hyundai. Plus salesmen are wonderful still call him to this day with question he ever gave me his cell to call whenever I needed him! No thanks New Port Richey!
This is a horrible dealership whose sales and advertising practices have become extremely questionable. I have purchased 4 cars from them in the past and each deal was a progressively worse experience. I attempted to make a 5th deal with them as even though they were not easy to deal with, they had previously, eventually done the right thing, when I contacted the right people that is. They are now beyond dealing with and have resorted to blatant lies in their advertising as well as all of their communications with me.
