Sales experience was average. I felt like I got an OK deal. Service later was really pretty AWFUL, a real surprise it could be that bad actually.
But the worst came when I went to buy my leased car. Mazda Finance gave me the total buy-out amount for the car, but when I went to pay it, Hubler Mazda said they were adding $1,000 to the total due. (The reason given was “because we can”.) Apparently they routinely make their dealership the lien holder or something like that (unlike any other dealer’s common practice that I know of), and so I had no other choice. This was my 2nd really despicable experience at a Hubler Group dealership, and I will never deal with Hubler again!
Worst experience in the world. I drive 4 hrs to this place to get a vehicle that they are suppose to be holding for me. When I get there the guy I was talking to the whole time apparently worked at their other dealership so they had me waiting around for no reason. I wait for over a hour and half to get all the paper work done it was ridiculous. I drive literally 20 miles down the road and it breaks down on me and they say well you bought it its your responsibility now. So I was stranded 4 hrs away from home. I was told when I left that I would have no trouble making it home. Heck I would of liked to make it out of the city even………NEVER COME HERE
In all fairness, I can’t really rate “0” on many of the categories, because not one person acknowledged me when I went to the dealership today . . . therefore, I can’t truly rate honesty, pricing, etc. I stopped in this evening to see what used cars they had available. I was walking around the lot for about 10 minutes, and could clearly see 3 salespeople working there. Not one person even spoke to me. And it was 7:30 p.m. – not busy at all! What was odd about the entire experience is that a man and his teenage son pulled up and were not out of their car 5 seconds, when a salesperson ran right over. And they were looking at the car right next to the one I was looking at, so I don’t see how the salespeople could’ve missed me! I really didn’t care for the fact that they don’t list mileage or prices on most of their vehicles – so you HAVE to ask someone. I guess the bright side is – based on the other reviews – I should be glad that no one spoke to me! Sheesh, what a cluster. I would NOT recommend this dealership.
Saw a van on the internet and sent an inquiry to Hubler. Received a call from James. He told me the price but it was too high for me. I told him my situation, I was temporarily in a wheelchair, my Ford van had not passed a recall and Ford would not repair it, but paid me $3700 for it (it had 83,000 miles and was paid off), I am unemployed going on 14 months, and how much money I had to spend. He told me he had a van that met my requirements and quoted me a price that was what I could afford. I told him that I would be there that night to look at it and bring a mechanic. If I liked it, I could buy it that night with cash. He told me the van was being inspected and it should be back on the lot the next day, Friday. I contacted him Friday afternoon and he told me it was back, and I could come down to check it out. I told him that I would be there before 7 p.m. He said he would not be there, but another rep could help me. We arrived at 7 and waited for the rep. That rep was tied up, so another stepped in. When I told him what we were there for he went out to pull the van in for us to look at. He and another rep were out looking and eventually came back in and advised me the van was not there, and upon further investigation the van had been sold. James was fully aware I was driving from a distance, but failed to advise me the van was not there. He was too have held the van for me too look at and assured me that he would. I truly believe that he lured me there knowing the van was not available and because of my circumstances I would feel pressured to purchase another vehicle at a higher price. I will never recommend, buy or say anything positive about Hubler.
Have received poor or non-existent service on the last 3 visits. The only reason I when back the last time is because they led me to believe they would repair under an extended warranty, but they did the bait and switch. Even though they knew what the problem was before I got there (stuck SSV valve) they said it would not be covered and I would have to pay $700. I said I will have someone else do the repair where I am treated better. I am now getting the problem repaired for under $350. You have been warned.
If you value your time and money dont go to Hubler Mazda. They tell you what you want to here on the phone about the condition of the car and then when you drive 136 one way they say they are sorry you dont like the car. Its not that i dont like the car it that i dont like being lied too.
BUYER BEWARE!!!! I went looking for a dependable truck, I had been looking for awhile, I happened to see a truck, at this dealership. I was imediately pounced on by a salesman named Tyler. Told him what I was looking for and he started telling me about this truck. so far so good:) he said he would go get the key so I could start it up and hear the truck run, when he came back I got in started it up to let it Idol, I noticed the check engine light stayed on  and the A/C was not working, so I shut it off and told him I was going to look else where for a truck:eek:!Thats when he started to sound desprate to sell this thing WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR YOU TO DRIVE OFF WITH THIS TODAY! He says:cool:Well I told him he was going to have to come down on the price bla bla bla! again I told him I wanted to look else where. he said drive it around the lot to the front and I’ll see what I can do about the price:eek:DRIVE IT AROUND THE LOT? Oh my god, I fell for that! Duh! as the story goes, we settled on a price and they were going to fix the A/C and that would more than likely take care of the check engine light, BLAM! I got punched again:(moral of the story is this. do your home work before settling on a price, I am Stuck with a vehicle that I paid way too much for and I signed on the dotted line. once you do that there is no turning back its yours forever. I will never, I mean Never buy another vehicle from hubler again I did not even get a thankyou from anyone there for spending my hard earned money. OH and by the way Tyler You Suck dude! I hope your daughter enjoys her new shoes!:D
Just an update, about my purchase. It’s been a month now and I haven’t gotten my title work back for this vehicle, I called last week and got some Idiot there that said to call the BMV and see if they had the title work if they didn’t then call back and talk to some other idiot at hubler. wich I did just exactly what the 1st idiot said to do, whent to the BMV NOPE! they didn’t have it so I called the #2 idiot We will call him Brian. he says I’ll have to email my home office and call you back. This was at 9:oo am 3:00pm I hadn’t heard anything.so I’m guessing their computers run by horse and buggy power. So I called the man Himself Greg Hubler. we talked and he said I will get to the bottom of this and call you back in 30min. Hmmmmmm! lets see, Its now 6:30 you do the math! this has been the worst experience of my life! DO NOT BUY FROM HUBLER!!!!!!! Where Is my Title Jerks??????? I guess my next call will be to the attorney general Thanks:p
If you need someone else to go in with you, I already called the Attorney General. I didn’t set anything up yet, I have an appointment with legal aid tomorrow. There is a law called “Unfair or Deceptive Acts or Practices” law. That stats if they give false facts about the car before selling or if the car is unsafe they can be held accountable. They lied to me about my car, and it is unsafe…
I recently purchased a new Mazda from this dealership. My husband is in the military and is currently deployed. One would think many dealerships would be more than willing to deal with us and our situation. Instead, whenever my husband called and let the dealership know what he wanted for the car, the dealership did many of the opposite things. Once we purchased the car and realized the many mistakes that were made by the dealership, the manager was unwilling to help in any way. The finance department made some mistakes and lied to the manager about the mistakes that were made. The manager said he did not believe anything I was telling him about the finance mistakes. I would not in any way recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking to buy a new Mazda.
Took car in for service because would not start. It was 2 1/2 days for a certified technician to diagnose and still did not have a clear diagnostic answer (charges 50.00 an hour). Total charged $600.00 for Rotor and cap and to diagnose. Says on receipt Air flow meter contaminated/distributor cap bad and replaced Dis cap and rotor/checked engine compression and timing/reset mech timing. Now car is running rough and called and spoke with Jan who was cordial and then Rick the manager called and says we got the car running and that is all we needed to do and at an additional cost we can check it again. I thought since these are qualified technicans that in a couple of hours or so they would have the problem diagnosed and something definite on the problem.
So no thank you I will not be returning for more. No Thanks. People beware that HUBLER MAZDA IN GREENWOOD is a TOTAL RIPOFF. Poor customer care and terrible service on car. Taking people at this time with the poor economy is pitiful and desperate. Merry Christmas!
