I took a car to Harrelson Toyota for repair, owned by L.F. Harrelson. The bill was paid in full ($1100.00). The car had to be taken back a few days later because it stopped running. The repair was made under the warranty. L. F. Harrelson called and left a message that the Dealership had been sold and my car had been taken to Harrelson Nissan, owned by son Bobby Harrelson. He also said I had an unpaid bill. I tried to reach a L.F.Harrelson, Bobby and Misty Harrelson by phone and in person, they were never there. The girl from Toyota called them and told them I was paid in full, they didn’t believe her. They said she was clearing out their records. I went with my paid receipt, they said I owed $2,000 in storage fees. Then they said if I paid $500 I could get it. This went on for 1 year. I took them to court and they were ordered to release the car to me and drop the fees. When I went to pick up the car, they could not produce the keys and the new battery had been taken out. Bobby Harrelson said he was not replacing the keys or battery. It cost me $470.52 to get my car. This was 3 court filing fees, tow charge, new keys made and new battery. I took them to court again for the fees and the judge, who was clearly on their side, because he belived their lies, would not award my expenses and let them get away with it. These people are a joke. The car was sent their without my knowledge and they had nothing whatsoever to do with the repairs. They are so lowdown that they did whatever they could to make money. Bobby Harrelson didn’t respond to the summons, but showed up and was allowed to participate. Clearly unfair. He also told us he wasn’t even coming to this f-ing thing but the girls in the office told him about it. He looked like he had rolled out of bed with a hangover and smelled like alcohol. Also, when we went to the dealership, one salesman was riding on the sign that goes around in circles, smoking, the music was so loud inside you couldn’t hear your conversation and one girl was eating her lunch at her desk on the showroom floor. We didn’t even go there to do business and this is what happened. Please keep this in mind if you are considering going there.
I will recommend Harrelson Nissan to everyone. The lady when I first walked in was super sweet and right away hopped up and found me Mike Gaston who helped me get my new maxima. Mike was such a nice guy and very proffesional. He really helped me to find my new car! We went on quite a few test drives and he made sure to show me all my new features. While they were washing my car i was inside finishing up. I have spent way more time at other dealerships and I didn’t even buy a car from them. I had a great car buying experience and this was not my first. Thank you Harrelson Nissan!
I also want to add that I have been back to have my first oil change and the service department seems great too everyone was very friendly!
Not have them repair your car unless you want to take in multiple times and pay multiple times because they didn’t fix the correct item the first time.
did buy a car, because they had my daughter convinced that she could not get financed anywhere else. One manager revealed person information to someone not on the contract & after the contract was signed, he was still asking personal questions about our finances. I WILL NEVER BUT ANOTHER CAR FOR THIS DEALERSHIP. I will also make sure that I tell everyone I know not to ever buy anything here.
😡
They lied to us and we are not giving up. The salesperson is trying to make good and GM Lloyd is the one that is not working with us. He offered to replace the car and when we said ok (this is after 3 attempts to fix the sun roof) Lloyd he said we would have to take a hit because it is a used car (Owned 3 weeks and almost 2 weeks in sunroof company shop). The salesperson is honestly trying to make things right and he should be working for Honda or better yet get Lloyd’s job and improve Harrelson Nissans reputation. Look them up on BBB.com. I wish I had.
Alfredo is the main person I have delt with all of the times my truck has been to the dealer, while my truck was still under warranty the dealer replaced 3 rear axels because of jerking in the drive train, only to discover that the Transfer case had no fluid in it and most likely never had any in it from the factory (at time of service 28K miles). They simply added fluid but there was excessive play in the drivetrain still, just not as bad. I told Alfredo I was worried about the truck leaving me or my wife stranded and would like to have the transfercase replaced. Alfredo told me that the dealer could not fix it if it was not broken (amazing how 3 rear axels were relaced that were not broken and nothing wrong with them) Alfredo assured me he would take care of me and to just drive the truck for a while and then bring it back. The transfercase has gotten so sloppy that the truck now jerks while changing gears and when I took it back to Harrelson Nissan in Rock Hill SC, Alfredo said oops your 2 weeks out of warranty and we can’t do anything for ya. This is truly bad business and I will never own another Nissan!!
“Bought” a Pre-Owned car on a Saturday. My wife and I were assured that financing was approved, and the payments and interest listed on the contract were good to go. I had reservations about taking the car off the lot without knowing which lender would be taking over the loan, but was assured numerous times by the salesman, the sales manager and the finance specialist that everything was fine. We took the car home, over an hour away. I called the dealer twice on Monday and was told that everything was good, and there were no issues. Tuesday I was called by the salesman and told that I needed to return to the dealer to re-sign the contract. When I asked why, he immediatly passed me on to the finance manager. When I asked why the contract needed to be signed, he didn’t want to tell me that the interest rate had went up, he was very guarded, and when I asked how much the payments were going up, he became angry! I told him that this sounded like a yo-yo scam, he actually laughed at me! (google yo-yo scam, this is a perfect example…) My Wife and I took the car back, we were HEAVILY pressured to sign any contract so they could keep the sale. Suddenly an extended warrenty and GAP insurance that we were pressured to purchase on Saturday, were not as important on Tuesday. Anything to make the sale. We were so put off by this dealer, we left the car. I wouldn’t recommed this dealer to anyone. Do not buy from this dealer. Do not sign a lease from this dealer. Every word that comes out of their mouths is a lie. Louis F. Harrelson (owner) pleaded guilty to fraud that he taught to his workers and although he sold his dealership to his sons, it is the same people working in them. There are plenty of other places to go buy cars then to have to worry about dealing with these crooks. Call BBB, the complaints are astounding and I was told they have one of the worst records they have ever seen. Why are they still in buisness? I am seriously considering suing the crap out of them !!!!
If you like dealing with saleman who know nothing, lie, talk down to you and generally don’t care this is the dealership for you.
over 60 days later receive phone call from dealer that the payoff was significantly short on trade and that I am responsible. We had roughly about 19 payments left on the lease. Prior to going to the dealership, I called gmac to get a payoff which was given via automated of $11,877 & some change good through
8/6/09 but did not indicate lease payoff or to outright buy the car. We advised Mr. Boyd this was a
lease, we wanted the payment to remain the same or less & no cash down. The first offer came back with $4750 down, $869 per mth payment, and $9900 for my trade. No, I am done this is unacceptable. They went back to re-work #s, I had to leave refused to give me my keys as I told them I had an appt. at 5pm, I told them to work it & give the #s to my husband who could get me at my appt. My husband called to tell me they got the payment within range, no money down and to meet him back at the dealership to finalize provided acct info for gmac along with what figure I had obtained prior to coming to the dealership. They quickly ran over the #s, I told them I would seek financing with my credit union,& they sent us on our way. We finally got them to accept the check from our credit union on 8/5/09. Then I received a billing stmt on my car that I traded in Sept showing a small balance with 3 pmts remaining. I called to check my account and they showed the account closed but needed the paperwork from the dealership. I called Harrelson, spoke withGerald who told me he would prepare the paperwork again, send to my lender & mail copies to me. I did not receive. I thought all was done until 10/6/09 came home to find a message from Lloyd Edwards, general manager, stating it was urgent for us to contact them. I returned the call around 5:30pm that same day. I spoke with him and was in absolute shock when he said we have a problem that the payoff was thousands of dollars short. Then he proceeded to tell me I was responsible. In a dumb founded response, I said “How can this be?”. I then said that this is has been the worst experience ever. He stated that they too called the automated system and got the same payoff as mine but they did not know this was a lease. How is this my fault/responsibility? We were upfront that this was a lease, they got the same data that I did, the check was sent to the lender, I informed them of missing paperwork that was needed then the dealer calls me that they received the check back. The dealer should have verified their paperwork when we were upfront about this being a lease as this could have broke the deal. I am currently trying to find an attorney to help me because I don’t have thousands of dollars laying around, I can’t afford my payment to go up, and the vehicle does not have additional value to add this to the loan. Let’s face it the salesman, Adrian Boyd, the finance Director, Chris Cole, the GM, Lloyd Edwards and the other
gentleman, Gerald are not communicating or just don’t have clue what is going on.
I wish this had been available a long time ago. I would never recommend this dealership or any dealership owned by this group. I stopped in many years ago to just look. And was given a card by one salesman, I then gave the card to my son. When he went and inquired about a car the salesman he met told him that individual no longer worked there. I later droped my son off to pick up his car and met the salesman who gave me the business card (still an employee of Harrellson’s) I informed him of what had happened. Needless to say if they treat each other like this just how do you expect to be treated any different. Went there today to meet someone, nice friendly as can be. Do you think I would buy from them NO!!!!!!!!. As much as want to spend my money in my home town, I will not, If you really don’t understand details of your contract you better have someone with you who can, and this goes to anything you buy anywhere. But once you sign a contract It’s your problem the only way to protect yourself from a Great White Shark is to have an Orca as a Back Up.
I watched Bobby Harrelson take a newspaper with him to the bathroom and emerge without it/ When I went to the bathroom, he had left it open in the floor, What a piece of shit/ If he cant even clean up after himself, why would he take of a customer.. horrible and disgusting
I was told by Mitchel (a sales rep) over the phone when I was calling to inquire about the new price option they had, (pay half of the sticker price for the car) that this indeed was not a lease, and that we would be financed for the first half of the sticker price, then financed the other half after the first loan was done.
When we came in to see him, I again asked if this was a loan, and he said no.
The gentleman trying to help ‘pressure us into the deal’ assured us this was not a lease we agreed to the deal. ( which was Charles Wallace)
We also asked the financing guy if we were in a lease, he said no multiple times.
When we got the contract to sign, it did infact say lease, so we asked him why did it say lease. He said because the ‘price option’ was such a new program, they did not have the proper contract to sign, and that our real contract would be sent within 30 days.
He did go over the 12000 mile clause but said that was only a matter if we choose not to finance the other half of the sticker price after the fist loan term was up.
When I got my payment coupon, it indeed said a lease, so I called back, and was told that I was indeed in a lease. So I called and talk to Charles Wallace and he said there was nothing he could do, because we did sign a contract stating a lease. He said there was nothing I could do. That is was my word against his dealership.
These guys are big time bluffers, chaeeters. They will lie a lot. Actually I went to buy the car, and they make me to lease the car. They lied to me that I need to pay for the car lease for 5 years, and when I return the car, I will get some intrest back of $3000. When I asked them about the balance, they told there will be 5000 balance to pay to own the car. Some how they confused me. And I signed on the contract. But after going home, when I calculated, I figured that to own the car I hvae to pay at the end of the lease, which is going some 2000-3000 more than I buy the car. And when I went to the dealer on the next day, the sales person was hiding from me. When I started arguing with them, the manager came in, and he was like so rude, and saying “I dont want to know what ever my sales person said, You I have signed the contract. Now just go home.”, and opened main door, and asked me to leave that place.
Before I sign the contract they were very friendly, and smiles on the place. I felt so bad when the sales person was trying to hide from me, and when the manager opened the door, and told to leave the place. I WEN THERE TO BUY THE CAR, BUT THESE CHEATERS MADE ME TO LEASE. NOW I HAVE TO LEASE THE CARE FOR THE NEXT 5 YEARS PAYING MORE MONEY,AND THE CAR NEVER BE MINE.
