so, you know how some people write, I wish there was zero stars ? This is the first time in my life I am THAT DISSAPOINTED.
Please, if you or you have a friend considering buying a vehicle at Gus machado ford tell them they are horrible scam artists, go somewhere else.
I called sawgrass ford for a compairason every vehicle I asked about on their lot was already certified pre owned and I spoke to a much higher class of employees in their used car sales department who didn’t play games with me. Gus machado waits till you buy the vehicle and then tacks the CPO on as an option, then tacks on hidden dealer fees.
Their sales man who sold me my vehicle led me to believe I was purchasing an already Certified vehicle from the start, he handed me documentation (which happened to be conducted at midway ford, at the time no one noticed the dealer name until I took it in as proof of CPO) then to lead me to believe I was buying a certified vehicle from a sticker on the windshield & he even explained the coverages while he handed me a pamphlet detailing a CPO vehicle. I came to machado expecting to purchase a ford certified vehicle. I was buying a ford at ford!!! after sitting in one at a Chevy dealer I thought “I should buy it directly at ford” so id be covered with a guarantee!
I’m exhausted, one year later the car is failing from a sound that came with the car I thought was normal. the tires are bad ; one even came with a plug, the navigation sytem wasn’t working, the door key pad didn’t work, the back hatch was broken, the back seat was broken & one of the keys to the car they gave me didn’t work even after I bought a new battery for it! Yeah…. I spent 30k on this used explorer… Wouldn’t you expect to get a quality vehicle?
After 4 weeks in a rental car, 6 trips with two sweet toddlers waiting strapped to a car seat for 5 hours each time, countless hours on the phone with ford & the dealership, text messages even Emails and lots of tears from all the anxiety… all for them to not treat me no better than a dollar sign, I’m DONE. I have asked them all 6 times to give me back my car and they have given me an excuse and sent me away. The service Dept. fixed my vehicle believing the used car sales had certified it and found out that the sales man screwed up from day one. now I am picking my car up and have to pay for services I never authorized just because I can’t do it in anymore??? . I have wasted this entire month over this. To me Thats time with my children and my ignoring my health (diabetes) I am worth more than that. I can’t bare to fight for it any more. The have beat me down ENOUGH. Gus machado you win I’m out but, NEVER again will u have my business.
Update: 15 minutes after getting my car back from service I heard the same knocking sound as When I originally brought their service Dept the car !!! they were to fix a knocking sound and fix a recall on the door handles (March 8th, 2016) but, on March 17th I went to pick my car up and the door handles weren’t touched!! however they were written up as completed by their tech. Had I not noticed the door handle was still broken they would have sent me home with a recall not fixed & ford would have paid them. Now they have replaced my Ac and a belt and my car still knocks… Like it did the day I came in. So obviously they either had no idea what was wrong with my car and had me pay for stuff they thought it could be Or they maliciously screwed up my car because they were tired of me. I’d like to believe that they just have no idea what they are doing but at this point ?!?!??!!!
The staff in Gus Machado Ford are excellent, i don’t know why so much negative review from them, my experience was awesome and i really recommend to every body to go there, thank you to Daniel Gonzalez and all the managers with the excelent price they gave me in my new 2013 Ford Explorer. I recommend this dealership by drive back to New York
My dad bought me a 2009 ford mustang at gus machado ford of kendall, about 2 months ago, they told him that he would pay $300 a month and that was fine. when i got the car it kept breaking down on me, mind you is a used car yes but they said it had nothing wrong with it and it had 60k miles i took it to the dealer and they sopposibly fixed it for me but it broke down on me again. That car broke down on me about 3 or 4 times and its been only 2 weeks since i got the car they managed to fix it, but then they said that the bank never confirmed for the car so they found a new one and they told me i would stay paying the same. my first payment is coming up and they told me that now i have to pay $340 a month. I dont know if thats legal or not but worst people to make deals for
I gave it 1 star because there is no 0 it was awfullllll i wish i had read these reviews and the ones on yahoo (http://local.yahoo.com/info-14169445-gus-machado-ford-incorporated-hialeah?tab=reviews#reviews) before i went there omg!!! my dad bought a car there and the SAME DAY on the way home the car turned off in the middle of the street, after a while he got it to turn on again and guess what? off again after 2 blocks!!! like that about 4 or 5 times until he finally got home. He called the dealer and they told him there was nothing they could do for him, wtf this is a car that he had bought that very same day not even 1 hour before and now he has a few grants less and a huge piece of trash in the driveway. The mechanic that saw it (of course my dad was the one that paid for it) says it might be the transmission… another grant or so… on a car that was bought not even 2 days ago wth!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE unless you’re buying for a junk yard….
I flew to Miami from another state to pick up a used car. Although the salesman had talked about the payment arrangements on the phone and I had a copy of the Internet ad, they added on a $799.00 “Pre-Delivery Services” fee. That is when I should have walked out, but I would have had to buy another plane ticket to go home and needed a car badly. Although it had been discussed that I would be paying with a credit card and had faxed the card front and back to the dealer beforehand to be sure they would accept it, they would not accept payment by credit card the day of the sale, and I had to go to a bank and get a bank check. The purchase transaction took 5 hours because the salesman did not know how to close a sale and kept having to leave the office to talk to someone else. I still had a 12 hour drive home ahead of me! On the way home, the thermostat and CD player quit working, and I discovered a large tear in the sub-flooring which had been concealed by a mat. I have been trying for three months to get Machado Ford to reimburse me for these problems and the FL state sales tax which I am due since I drove the car immediately out of state. A manager called me two months ago and promised to send a check, but I still do not have it and I can not get my calls returned. I highly recommend that out-of-town buyers do not use this dealership.
we brought our ford ranger when it would not start the service manager called us and said that our truck had water in the gas . he told us that the tank had to be removed and the fuel pump needed to be replaced . that our guarranteed does not cover the repair and will cost $500.00 dollars we said ok. then the service manager called back in one hour and told us that the damage was about $2.500.00 that ford would pai for it that he would not say nothing about the water in the tank but we must pay the $500.00 to him. we said no . and he told us to pick up our truck that it was running and to take it to another dealer for repair and to forget the $500.oo dollars. well we did and the service dept at the other dealer. told us they put the wrong spark plug so our truk would not run right. and also that the gas tank was never removed and the fuel pump has not been replaced. this guy is a crook. we are going to see a lawyer about this problem.
Worse dealership I have ever been too, Tried to charge me an $800 Dealer fee!, kept changing the price of the car, was treated like crap by the MANAGERS! Salesperson was young and seemed like he was only allowed to show me the car and did not know anything about the car! Finance person could care less if I bought the car or not, gave me a 9.9% rate on a new car with a 700 + beacon!!!. Long story short, I live 3 blocks from the dealer but found it worth it to drive 45 mins to Sawgrass Ford and purchase. They gave me a great price and 5.49% and NO DEALER FEE! Gus Machado Ford of Kendall is a Joke, I will not even bring my car there for service anymore!!
went with my father to purchase a ’10 ford fusion. gave the keys of my 2005 jaguar s type to eduardo. when bhe came back he came back with a mediocre appraisal. i told him i was offered $2k more from the manager at maroone ford. he told me wait a minute, left for 15 minutes came back and still kept the same appraisal. my father and i decided to go to maroone ford and make the deal with the manager there. when we attempted to leave Gus Machado Ford, my check engine light went on and he denies having done anything the the car. he says he only walked around it and looked inside. my car was parked in a totaly different spot!! i took my car to a mechanic that same day and the mechanic confirmed that someone messed with one of the hoses to my car! these people are liars and deceitful. BEWARE an NEVER GO TO GUS MACHADO FORD.
In April of 08 I was shopping for a 2007 Expedition and found one online from Gus Machado Ford the price was a good price. The day before I took delivery they jacked the price up by $2,500!
Gus Machado Ford Complaint, Gus Machado Ripped me off. Experience. Terrible Service.
Complaint Summary
Gus Machado Ford (of Hialeah, Fla. close to Miami) Sales Staff committed to selling me a used 2007 Expedition for $25000. They changed the price to $27,500 the day before I was to fly down from Atlanta and pick up the vehicle.
Here is the Complaint I filed withe the Better Business Bureau of South Florida – Gus Machado NEVER resolved the complaint.
Complaint Description – Posted 5/27/2008
Gus Machado Sales Staff committed to selling me a used 2007 Expedition for $25000. I deposited $500 in their Bank of America account per the salesman’s instructions and made airfare arrangements for $99.50 non refundable. They changed the price to $27,500. They refused to honor the original deal, citing it was a misprint but I was told differently by a sale person at the dealership. After several messages, they eventually refunded my deposit but not my airfare. They did indeed say that they would do their best to refund my airfare but then stopped returning my calls. Besides not getting the deal I was promised which would have saved me about $3000, I am out $99.50 and they will not return phone calls when promised. Joe Sanchez and Jose Llaguno are familiar with my situation.
The guys won’t even properly respond to the Better Business Bureau complaint made against them. They have 9 similar complaints logged with the BBB.
