My wife and I researched three different cars on the internet, and found that Greenwood Chevrolet of Youngstown had all of them and decently priced. I called Greenwood and set up an appointment time to see all three specific cars. The salesperson that I talked to was Bob Bohac, who said he would have all three cars ready for me at 6:00 PM. My wife and I took our two children in a snowstorm out to Greenwood, and when we arrived we met Bob Bohac. My six year old daughter said to Bob I like your scarf and he replied “Oh, you had to bring your whole gang with you.” He then said “now what cars did you want to see?” Even though i gave him the exact cars I wanted to see over the phone. He then went and got the completely wrong cars, the same model, but wrong cars. We bit our lips and went with it, so we get out to the cars and he didn’t even scrape the snow off the vehicles. The first vehicle had absolutely no gas and he said “Just don’t go far!” Then the second car had the service engine light on, which my wife pointed out. He then replied ” Oh, that’s because it’s so cold out.” After driving the third vehicle which was on empty, we returned to the dealership. At this point we should have left but my wife had her heart set on the original jeep compass that was parked out front when we arrived. This is when I told Bob, we wanted the jeep parked out front, not the one you gave us. He then rolled his eyes and said “they sold it 10 minutes ago!” I then said we already have our financing lined up and we researched the trade in value of our current vehicle based on the kelley blue book trade in value. He never looked at our vehicle and said “how much you looking to get out of it?” We responded that the trade in value is $5000, he responded by laughing in our face and then said I’ll be right back. He came back and looked at us and said “NO” We said NO what? He said we’ll give you alot less. We said how much………..he said $2500. So since the car was paid off i asked him about lease options, and we would keep the car and lease my wife a new chevy cruze. He said you have to have really good credit to get a lease. At this point i said “Bob, we are obviously on two different pages here, I’m going to take my business elsewhere” This is when we began to walk out, the sales manager heard what happened and chased us out of the store. He apologized repeatedly, but by that point it was too late. We left and will never ever go to that dealership again. The manager said “We are the biggest dealership in the area” I replied “A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link” I am a state employee in law enforcement, and my wife works for the housing authority as a manager. We are christian people who were made to feel like a nuisance, we will never ever go to greenwood Chevrolet. My sister was about to go there also, which i recommended to her not to.
