I bought my fusion at grand prairie ford at 0% interest on ford rebates. john had all the paperwork done by the time I got thru test driving the car. the car sold itself. ford builds a very good product. I also bought the aftermarket ford warranty and never had to use it. I highly recommend this dealership for sales and service. they even called me a week later to see if I had any concerns. I still drive the car today with no problems.
service was a little slow but they had about 20 cars on the drive to write up. still met their promise time. thank you grand prairie ford for your service.
I was very impressed with my salesman Gilbert and I just can’t say enough about how he went above and beyond to get me into the car that I really wanted. He was very patient and actually listened to what features I wanted and also suggested a few features that I was not aware so that he was able to find the perfect fusion for me to test drive.
Robert did a great job matching my needs with a vehicle he had in stock.
I dropped my PU off with Collette and asked for a complete checkup. She did a FANTASTIC job getting me a timely quote, scheduling the repairs and keeping my updated on the progress. She did an awesome job for me and look forward to my next service visit at GP Ford because of Collette!
WE ARE OPENING AN FBI INVESTIGATION ON THIS DEALERSHIP IF THAT EXPLAINS ANYHTING
Thats great to hear . Maybe I can get my $3000 back that my mother left me . .
I hope so….this place is horrible…..screwed us royally…sold us a car in someone elses name!!!
I would like to info about your investigation..I am getting an attorney involved. GP Ford sold me a car that was wrecked, bought from an auction with frame damage. Did not tell me.. Office of Attorney General is being notified….
I was not happy with my truck . I returned it the next day . The salesman shot the finger at me and argued with me . He did not give me my $3,000. This was July 5th . The GM has never returned my phone calls. This dealership is a rip off. I will never send someone there . BOTTOM LINE I never have received my money back. This money my mother left me when she past away .
STAY AWAY!!! I called the dealership to inquire about an ad they had on cars.com. The add stated that the vehicle was a “4X4, V6 Toyota 4-Runner.” I specifically asked the salesperson whether the car was 4 wheel drive and he responded “yes, and it is very nice.” During the day, 3 other salespeople called me asking when I was coming in and “how I was going to pay for the car..” I asked each of them whether the car was 4X4 and V6 and each one again told me yes. I went to the dealership after work and waited for 30 min. for them to show me the car. When I finally saw it, it was not a V6 nor was it 4X4. The sales person told me I was wrong so I popped the hood and showed him, to which he told me I was still wrong. He then tried to sell me a Ford 150 4X4. Needless to say, I left. This dealership is your typical shady car dealership. They are sharks and will say anything to get you on the lot. Once there, they pressure the hell out of you before you ever see the car. STAY AWAY….these people would screw over their mother for profit.
My service advisor was awesome and I have already recommended not just your service center but your dealership in general to people. I’ve never had an experience that wasn’t pleasant and professional at GP Ford.
David Steen accommodates my busy work schedule to provide work space so that I can telework from your dealership and not stress about the time it takes to service my vehicle. This accommodation is greatly appreciated. David is efficient and truly valued by me. Grand Prairie Ford is lucky to have such a great person working for them
The representative was very helpful. I had the best help that I have ever had. Thank you very much. I not only will recommend Grand Prairie Ford service dept, but will definitely recommend my rep to everyone else. Thanks Lucius.
Excellent service, very helpful and they even provided me an office so that I could catch up on my office work. That was really nice. Thanks GP Ford.
The young man that serviced my car was knowledgeable and kind. He helped me and saw to that I had everything that I needed. I was pleased with the results.
They salesperson was very helpful and explained everything. Im glad I chose Grand Prairie Ford!
I originally went to Grand Prairie Ford to do research on the purchase of a used truck for the purpose of pulling a boat. Triston helped me out with trying to locate a truck that fit my needs at a price I could afford. He involved one of his supervisors to assist in the process and told me it would be difficult to find one, but they would do everything they could to help me find a truck that I could afford. They checked up with me several times over the next week to get a better understanding of what I was looking for and what they had come up with so far. I went to the dealer one day to test drive 2 trucks I found on the website and spoke with Gabe. Triston was unavailable at the time but Gabe was very respectful, helpful and knowledgeable. However, after doing further research of my own and deciding that a new F-150 would be the better option, I decided to pay a visit to the dealer to let them know and to take a look at what they had in stock. I spoke with Gabe again and he was able to help me finalize a new F-150 XLT 5.4 V8 with a tow package. Everyone at Grand Prairie involved in my purchase was extremely courteous and friendly. Not once did I feel as though I was being forced into a certain purchase, nor did I feel as though the salesman were being pushy about even buying a vehicle with them. Not only was Grand Prairie Ford more respectful than most of the dealers I visited, but I could not find any dealer in the Metroplex that could offer such a good product for the price. My experience with Grand Prairie Ford was the best I have ever had at any dealership!
Very satisfied with all aspects of the dealership. Very helpful and friendly.
Jacky Mercer was an excellent representative for the G.P. Ford dealership. he was very knowledgeable and helpful during my truck selection. I will definitely continue to come to him for future purchases and as a referral to friends.
Good experience with your company especially since we were just visiting your area.
Very satisfied. Great sales person. It was very nice experience doing business with Grand Prairie Ford.
The salesman was very polite and sufficient. Great service and timeliness. I enjoyed my experience at Grand Prairie Ford. Thank you!
Tristan Jones, the so called sales person is rude, is a LIAR and i will never, ever buy another auto at Grand Prairie Ford. Bob Hollifield is a two faced LIAR….. i caught him in so many lies it became amusing to watch him back tract about what he said and then her would start studdering and his face turn red.
I am very impressed with the staff at Grand Prairie Ford. I would rather have my toe smashed with a hammer than buy a new car, but the guys at GP Ford gave me hope that buying cars does not have to be a bad experience. Thank you!
One of the best car buying experiences I have had in a long time. Very friendly sales and finance people. Not overbearing like at most dealerships. The delivery person was very good in going over the truck and teaching me how to use the equipment on it. A great experience!
What an amazing time we had at Grand Prairie Ford! At one point of time i felt like I was at a friends house… They made it so simple for me. I will be coming back for my next vehicle and I’ll be recommending friends and family members!
I really enjoyed doing business with you guys. Everyone was very polite and very easy to deal with. I will definitely recommend anyone who is interested in buying a ford to Grand Prairie Ford. Thanks alot!
One of the best car buying experiences I have had in a long time! Very friendly sales and finance people. Not overbearing like at most dealerships. The delivery person was very good in going over the truck and teaching me how to use the equipment on it. A great experience!
My husband is deployed right now, but wanted to do something nice for me. He found the EXACT car (2010 Ford Escape) that I wanted and contacted the dealership. He was told there would be no problem with our Power of Attorney (so that I could sign his name at the dealership) or converting our sales tax back to our home of record (MI). After my husband got all excited and told me, they back tracked and said that the manager didn’t want the “liability of a POA and didn’t want to mess with switching the sales tax”. My husband asked if they would do a dealer-to-dealer trade to the Ford dealer near us since they knew us both very well (we just purchased a 2010 Ford Mustang from Roundtree Ford here in Shreveport, LA). He was told no! They said, “it’s too nice and we would like to sell it off our lot”. Here my husband is 1000’s of miles away from home fighting for our country; FINALLY had something to feel good about… and then they ripped it out from under him. Liability? I had TWO POA’s! One general and one special that even listed the VIN number! Both from the AF! That’s about as liability free as they come.
Funny… I went to Roundtree Ford that weekend and bought a 2011 Ford Escape from them. The one we were TRYING to buy from these guys is STILL SITTING ON THE LOT! High-five on that one Grand Prairie!! I have had my Escape for about a month now, and i love it! I am just so happy we did not purchase it from these guys.
Way to go that extra mile for our service members, Grand Prairie!
Alright, Ed, let’s hear what you have to say about this one…. God knows NOTHING could actually be your fault!
SERVICE MEMBERS BEWARE! GRAND PRAIRIE DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF US!
When you have a used-car salesman who doesn’t have a calculator at his desk, has no idea what the Texas sales tax on a car is, and can’t figure simple interest. . . you know you should just drop whatever you’ve been looking at and run, because. . .
You are now in the :devil( Dealership From Hell. :devil(
Unfortunately, our teen-age daughter had found the perfect car and fallen in love with it, and so far the only negative factor was the salesman’s complete incompetence. Fine, we know how to buy a car.
We do all the preliminary paperwork on the SUV and then head down to finance. The finance guy was smoother than a November politician and thrice as shifty. I had called our credit union while waiting for the salesman to find someone who knew what the sales tax was. They told me to just buy the car and the next morning, they’d completely re-do the financing.
So that’s what we did.
Naturally, like most other car lots, there was no Owner’s Manual in the car. I asked the salesman to order one. One month and two weeks later, we’re still waiting. . .
Car goes home, all is well with the car. Almost.
Next morning, insurance agent calls us and says, “Did you know this car has been in TWO major accidents?” Uh-oh, I think as the alarm bells begin going off. “How much was the damage and payout?” I ask.
“Almost the same as what you paid for the car,” my agent answers.
Bad is getting worse, and in a hurry.
We’re in the process of having the car researched when we find out the alleged and promised Car Fax given to us is a complete fabrication and that no such Car Fax had ever, in fact, been done on this SUV.
At this point, I’m now looking up the number to the Texas State Attorney General’s office.
We call and inquire about all of this and are told that such and such person will call us back. It’s been three weeks, and we’re still waiting.
The car is now evidence and no longer a Sport Utility Vehicle. Both our credit union and our insurance agency (Allstate) are filing a friends-of-the-court amicus so that we all three can file legal action.
A quick search of the Better Business Bureau shows that Grand Prairie Ford has a solid F-rating, and in fact, has lost their accreditation with the BBB because of numerous, frequent unresolved complaints and a complete failure to respond to complaints.
Yet, I see some jackass “sales manager” has time to come here and pose as a customer?
Folks, Ford builds good cars and Ford has good dealerships across the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. But Grand Prairie Ford ain’t one of them.
Stay away from Grand Prairie Ford. Far away.
Got a call from a guy(Ben) and I told him my criteria and he said come by and we will work with you. I got there and was passed on to 2 different sales persons, I havnt even seen the car I was interested in and they made me fill out a credit ap and that took awhile. After that I had to ask to see the car and it looked totally different in person from the picture. It was a BMW suv and it had all kinds of cosmetic issues. I mean it was bad. During that time they were appraising my corvette, which the car is almost flawless. When the guy came out to see how we liked it, we told him we didn’t and we wern’t interested anymore. I asked him,”just curious but what did the number look like and he said that my corvette had all kinds of problems, it had dents(which its made out of carbon fiber and it can get dents), it ran rough, and it had as many defects as the BMW did.( Mercer)… I WAS INSULTED!!! I would never go there again. I mean my entire expeirence was a waste of time. By the way, I got 2 more estimates on my vette and the correct trade in values were 22K and they said it was only worth 17K,what a joke!
😮 I have been a customer of Grand Prairie for many years. I have purchased 3 cars from this dealership and have dealt with Mr. E. Harrison and several other staff involved in the transaction of the sale of my vehicles both new and used.
I was always treated with respect and felt I was satisfied with the outcome each time. I have been involved in sales and my expectation was to be given a good deal, I went in after doing my research and knew the value of the car i was looking for and expected to get a fair deal knowing that as any salesperson that some commission is involved and should be or why would they be in business. But again knowing that I also knew what my limits were and verbalized exactally what it would take for me to make a deal, ,My experience was positive in all three transactions and I would recommend Grand Prairie Ford to anyone.
I agree with the above person that unfortunately the negative will be posted far more than the positive and sadly not all true when the outcome is not to their satisfaction.
I have had excellent service in all the departments including the maintainece department with prompt followup and call backs to ensure I received excellent service. I have moved long distance from this dealership but still Grand Prairie is the only place I would purchase a car, I feel they rate above others in ”customer service”. I am a chevy man gone ford…
Great Job Grand Prairie Ford”
We have bought a few vehicles from Grand Prairie Ford over the past 10 years, and with each sales and finance person we have been treated like we were part of the family. I really appreciate a dealership that can listen to my needs and strive to meet them. From the polite receptionists all the way up the management we have always been treated with respect. I highly recommend Grand Prairie Ford!
It is very sad that more people do not take the time to search for a site to write a review when they have a good experience. The other reviewers on this page are upset because they did not get exactly what they wanted in their car buying experience. The truth is that when you are dealing with financing on any purchase be it a car, house, boat, furniture, ETC., you are not always going to get exactly what you want! Everyone has there own situation or circumstance that can effect your financing. You may have a very high credit score but there a so many other factors that apply when working out specific financing but these guys have always taken the time to figure out what would work best FOR ME. I have been buying cars from Grand Prairie Ford for years. I have always been very satisfied and have been treated very respectfully. Although they do make clear other benefits or additional purchases that are available to me when purchasing a car, such as GAP insurance (does come in handy by the way), accessaries, warranties, etc., I have never felt preasured or like I was being hoax into buying anything that I did not want. This is something that I have felt at other dealerships. I will be a Grand Prairie Ford customer for life! I would not trust any other dealership with my time or money.
Nice try and being a shill, Mr. Harrison.
Looks like someone finally bought you a dictionary.
THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD, AND THERE HAVE BEEN ALOT OF THEM. ERIC HARRISON THE NEW CAR MGR WAS VERY HELPFUL AND RIGHT ON THE PRICE.
I had no problem with Jackie, my wife and I were treated fairly by him and he gave me exactly what I was looking for. I was looking to refinance my 2009 XLT quad cab and decided to check into a 2010 truck 1st with the rebates they were offering (because new car interest rates should be way better than refinances). We were approved for 1.9 % financing through Ford Motor Credit. My payment was going to go up about $110 from my current vehicle, but I was also getting a Lariat that was decked out and it was worth the extra money. So here we are in Finance, 1.9% no money down and the payment included gap insurance and an extended warranty and service for 6 years 75,000 miles-I was pleased! My finance manager was Paul Capdevila and I was pleased with the experience with him as well. I was however told that because I was given 1.9% financing I could not get all of the rebates offered-I decided that was ok because a lower interest rate is better than most rebates. The paperwork is now signed and I am in my new truck. I was told to bring the survey back to the dealership and they would fill it out in exchange for a full tank of gas for me. Funny, is this how GP FORD has gotten the President’s Award 5 years running? A full week passed and I got a call from Paul. I was told that FMC wanted TT&L down in order to honor the 1.9% financing I was offered. (Note to EHARRISON-does my past credit suck if I was offered such a low rate? I don’t think my wife would be driving a new Lexus RX 350 if our credit sucked so please refrain from replying to this post with that repetitive tidbit you throw out there). I politely declined to paying TT&L when I already signed papers on 1.9% and no money down. They had an alternate offer–5.69%, throw a little more rebate in the mix and my payment might change $1-$2. I had to sleep on it. In the mean time I went ahead and moved forward with a potential refinance of my old vehicle because I wanted to compare rates to see if it was worth signing a new contract. Less than 24 hours later I had an offer of 5.74% on a refinance. I was thrilled. My payment was going to go down $100 on my old truck and I was going to save $6,000 over the remaining term on my note. I decided to take the 2010 Lariat back and say sorry, but I am not signing a new deal and I want my old truck back. After trying to be convinced by Finance Manager Bob Hollifield of this great deal I still had in front of me I still declined. I was then passed along to Sales Manager Karl Hawkins and he tried to convince me as well—I just kept on saying give me my keys we are done. He finally told me I had no common sense–this pushed me over the edge. Who in the hell are you to say that to someone? Needless to say those 3 words prompted me to blast them on every web site I can find ratings about them on. I finally got my truck back and was so pissed that I did not realize that they only gave me 1 keypad with my 2 sets of keys. I am still waiting on someone to call me back or for my keypad to show up in the mail. As far as claims about not praising and only bitching about a dealership. I told every person I came in contact with who asked me about my new truck that GP Ford is awesome and they should check them out if they are in the market for a new Ford. And yes, I am taking back that praise because this was a disgusting act of misrepresentation and underhanded tactics to get more money. Thanks GP Ford for making sure that I never shop with you again and that I reach out to anyone who will listen to tell them not to go to you and buy a vehicle.
Not
Not the complete truth but I dont feel the need to post someone dirty laundy online. But you know why you didnt qualify for the 1.9 percent.
Seriously? You say the same thing over and over again! If I was not approved for 1.9% then why in the hell do I have a signed contract showing 1.9%? You sir are a fucking moron. Dirty laundry? What-my credit had a hiccup or two partly due to a divorce a few years ago but I fixed it? What-all of my credit scores are 730 and above? What-my wife has perfect credit? What? My household income is over $165,000? You are right, I am a terrible credit risk. I don’t even think you work for the dealership. I think you are a dickweed who can’t come up with an original comment so you say the same thing to anyone who posts here. Even 5.69 % is a pretty good interest rate-no? Which is what The counter offer was-which is not acceptable when told you are given 1.9%. The fact that I refinanced instead at 5.74% on a REFI—yes-I am a credit risk. I guess I am a dumbass too because I cut $6,000 of of my contract and about $100 a month from my payment. Thanks for pointing out all of my flaws, I will go kill myself now…
I found a 2010 Mustang GT Premium on their website, and sent over an email to the dealer to inquire about the car, pricing, and availability. I received a response almost immediately, and I visited the dealer that evening to test drive the car. I told the salesman, Jackie Mercer, after driving it that I was interested in the car, but I needed a night to think about it.
When I returned the next morning shortly after they opened, I met with Jackie, and said I was interested in moving forward with the sale. Having done the numbers on my own prior to visiting the dealer, I knew what I was looking at as far as my monthly payment based on my current auto loan interest rate at 3.99% through VW Credit.
I wanted to see what in house financing would offer me, but I always had the intention of going through my private credit union for financing the car. I filled out the application, and when my salesman asked me what I was looking at paying monthly, I told him having already known what I expected to pay based on the numbers. He came back to me with a first offer that was $95 more than what I said I currently paid and was willing to pay, and offered me $1,500 less on my trade than was listed as blue book trade in value. Then the sales manager, Eric Harrison, came to the the desk to try and convince me that he could drop it down to $74 more than my set amount, and offered the missing $1,500 on my trade. He also said that the rate they were offering me was my current rate of 3.9% and the same number I based my numbers on prior to test driving the car.The numbers didn’t make sense to me, because of course it was all hand written notes and hustling phone calls to the finance bull pen.
I stepped outside and called my close friend who is a finance manager in commercial truck sales, and gave them the same numbers that I was determining everything on. My friend told me that with the payment they were offering, they were adding on an additional $3,000 somewhere in their numbers.
I went back in, told Jackie and Eric that I didn’t understand why our numbers did not match, and that I had another person verify that something was wrong. The price of the car was advertised online through a 3rd party site, and their own website listed the car with MSRP $33,435 Price $27,994 and said nothing about that price only being available with exclusive financing through Ford Motor Credit and qualifying rebates or incentives. The numbers just didn’t make sense, and I felt that I was being given the typical car salesman push, like I was a sucker who had to be convinced into buying a car right at that moment because I was getting such a great deal.
So, as I felt they were not being ethical, and I was ready to leave. Then Eric made one last phone call to finance, and they were ready to make one last offer that was still $53 more than my set amount.I made it clear at that point I was unwilling to deal with Ford Financing and that I was ready to leave after being there two hours. As soon as I said that, my salesman, Jackie, walked away without saying bye or even to follow up with me on whether I might come back with outside financing. JUST WALKED DIRECTLY TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SHOWROOM! Then I attempted to shake the hand of the sales manager, Eric Harrison, and to thank him for his time. HE WOULDN’T EVEN LOOK AT ME WHEN I HELD MY HAND OUT TO SHAKE HIS!Of course 1.5 hours later I received a voice mail from Eric reminding me of what a great deal I walked away from, and that he encouraged me to search other dealers. I guess what he didn’t understand was that I was not searching for just any Mustang GT, I wanted that specific one, and the price that it was advertised for.
When I returned home, I wrote an email explaining the numbers that I had, and that I still did not understand where the difference in the total amount was coming from. No response was received that same day.Two days later, however, I received a follow up email response from Eric Harrison. The first line read, “You are not taking in to account that you have to give back 3000 in rebate to get the 3.9% rate”. He also finally includes an actual break down of the numbers he is basing his offer on, and surprisingly, the advertised price of the car now only applies with special financing offers, which of course was not posted as part of that particular car’s price. So now the car that was listed for $5000 off suddenly has $3000 in hidden financing incentives that I apparently don’t qualify for.
I called my salesman, Jackie Mercer, to inquire whether or not they would honor the advertised sales price if I were to use my private credit union to purchase the car. He gave me the runaround and started telling me that the price only applied to the car if I used Ford Credit and qualified for their special financing. Then the sales manager, Eric Harrison, gets on the phone and tells me the exact opposite of what his sales man had just said to me. He tells me he will sell me the car for the advertised price if I came in with an outside lender. At this point, I knew that this whole thing was a scam, and a really bad one at that!
I called him out on all of their B.S, and told him I knew exactly what they were trying to do. I then told him that I would contact my credit union the next day and secure the financing, and that if he was lucky, I would come back to buy the car. Once again, the sales manager, Eric Harrison, became angry that I was not buying his song and dance, and then said to me “You know what, I’m not even making any money off this car, so it doesn’t matter to me or not if you buy, and quite honestly, you should just go visit another dealer”! In complete shock at what I had just heard, I responded with the fact that with a statement such as that, I had no intentions of ever doing business with them again. He responded with “I think that’s probably best” and then HUNG UP ON ME!Do not do business with these guys!
You will be sorry unless you are an uneducated person and don’t know any better![
That long email was nice but so far from the truth. When people dont get what they want they attack. Everyone know that the factory sets the rebates not the dealer and anyone who has shopped or bought a Ford in the past 5 years knows that Ford credit offers an extra rebate for you to finance with them. You cannot get the same price and go to your credit union. Its not the dealer it is Fords rebates. He is upset and blaming us because he did not qualify for the rate that would get him to his payment. His credit is not my fault. We do not loan money or set rates the bank does based on your history. As I have said in the past you cannot make everyone happy no matter how much you try. There is only so much you can take from a person attacking you over the phone until you do not want to do business with him. If he would have talked to me like a respectable human being I would have been willing to do all I could for him. Would you want do business with someone who treated you like the dirt the whole time. I know customer are alway right but that does not give them the right to abuse you or my staff. I will sell that GT Mustang to anyone who comes in here right now for the 27994, I just choose not do business with him. I just wished on this site that people would tell the whole truth not just the parts that benifit them. We are President Award winner for the last 5 years. This is the highest marks you can recieve from Ford for great customer service. If you are reading this and had a great experience with please post it. Everyone is quick to complain but happy customer usually do not take the time to right a happy letter. When you are not able to give people what they want you are the bad guy. It is like when you have to tell your kids no and they get all upset for not getting what they want and throw a fit. He is just throwing a fit. We are number 3 out of thousands of dealerships in F-150 sells and you do not get there by treating your customers badly or recieve all the customer service awards that we have. I hope everyone takes what they read on these sites with a grain of salt. REMEMBER PEOPLE ARE REAL QUICK TO COMPLAIN AND SLOW TO PRAISE.
It’s nice to see that the only person defending their business practices is the same one who orchestrated this entire debacle.
BTW…My credit union offered me an interest rate of 1.9% this morning, and I’m going to Westway Ford to purchase another Mustang.
Please read EHarrison’s posts (he has several rebuttals to others) and you can sense that it is in their company culture to do business in the manner that they have, so they don’t feel bad about their practices.
You should spend a little less time defending your unethical business practices, and take note of the reasons you lose business. Responding to cutomer complaints in the manner you have just highlights your unprofessionalism!
Wanted to buy a 2010 F-150. Pressured from the start. They had add for 11k off a truck but they then Hide till the end a 1700 dollar charge for 50 dollars worth of window tent and free oil changes for a year.
They are looking for suckers.
Eric Harrison is the new vehicle director. Spoke with him and he could care less.
Felt like they would lie to there own mother to sell a car.
Read reviews all over the internet. To bad Ford could not take there delership away!
oh and I bought the same truck at diffrent dealer for not only the 11k off but another 5k and they didnt try a 1700 dollar scam at the end!
Should have said bought same truck from a diffrent dealership for the 11k off and another 500 bucks off NOT 5k off.
I have bought 5 vehicles from Grand Prairie Ford and will not even shop anywhere else. Best price, highest trade values and best financing terms in the industry. All major dealerships should model themselves after Grand Prairie Ford.
wonder eharrison…could you be Eric Harrison the new vehicle director for Grand Prairie Ford?
I drove an hour to go to the lot, we agreed on a price after haggling and a few lies from the sales manager. (should have been my clue) we made an apt to return at 6pm to sign paperwork and for the car to be there since it had to come from another lot, they did not have the model i was looking for. When my husband and I arrived to sign, the sales rep told me the car was on the way, but no there yet, we decided to grab quick dinner and wait. We never heard from them while at dinner so we called to check, the sales manager told me the car would not be brought to the lot until we signed the deal…I have not seen this car yet, why would i sign. He says he told us exactly what the car had, and didn’t have. To me that is crazy, I want to lay eyes on it and test drive it before i sign the dotted line. They lied about it being on its way, and we had arguments on pricing when on the interned, they offered me $6000 off then said no in store. They also told my husband they were loosing money on the sale because he was a police officer, who sells a car with not profit….no one and what does his job have to do with the sale? I feel as a woman, he thought i was incompetint and stupid and could not figure out his lies and talking around the truth…wrong!
Dealers cant just go grab a car off someones lot for you to look at. They have to buy that car from the other dealer. So it is tough to go buy a car for someone to look at just to see if they want to buy it. When you buy the car from the other dealer they lose all there hold back and ad incentives.
Then dont lie and say the car is on the way. That seems to be the problem with this place. They lie, lie, lie instead of just telling the truth from the beginning. STAY AWAY!
I do believe that edharrison, or whatever his name is… is a member of Grand Praire Ford. He has the need to respond to every claim made against the dealership. Ed, i do know that they would need to purchase the car, however i wanted to see it first. There were lies from the beginning concerning the dealership, i never would have driven that far if they had not told me that car i wanted was there. Then they told me they would go ahead and bring it over, they did not, and when we got there they even went on with telling us it was on the way, even thought the intentions were not to bring it over. They are unproffesional!! I did purchase my ford edge the next day from Southwest ford in Weatherford..guess i should have stayed close to home to begin with. Just as i wanted the car and the conditions i asked for, with no issues whatsoever. They were great and have followed through with all promises. It is just simply that southwest ford has many complaints and is a ripoff. They don’t even have the balls to answer complaints, but just ignore them.
mad momma I believe eharrison is Eric Harrison the New Vehicle Director. his extension is 2689 I have his buisness card in my hand.
Purchased a brand new car that had many hidden problems. They refused to do warranty work. They are not only liars but the are very rude. They don’t take care of the cars while they are on their lot. Services department is horrible too.
The dealer does not build the car and would not know if it had problems. The dealer sales the car the auto maker stands behind them.
Grand Prairie Ford STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! I purchased a 2009 Roush Mustang ($54,000) when spending this amount of money you don’t expect to find things wrong with the car like pulling to the left, shaking violently at 60 mph, air condition vent broken, seat had tear that had been poorly patched, rust on chrome wheels, molding coming up, clear coat coming off. I can keep going on and on but to make this story short, I contacted Keith Sheldon (General Manager) and he told me they don’t cover warranty work on Roush mustangs anymore even though I confirmed they do through Roush. He sent me to a dealership some 60 miles away to have the repair work done. When I asked Keith If could get a loaner since the car was going to take 5 days to fix everything, he told me that if I would have bought the extended warranty he might have considered it. I asked him if he thought I was ever going to buy another car from him again and he said “no” and I said you don’t even care and he said “no” he went on to tell me that he thought I could not afford the car that I bought and that I am just always trying to get something for free. All I want is for my car to be fixed, here we are 3 months later and I am still having problems with the car. Please don’t do business with them, you will be sorry you did.
entirely false information
BUYER BEWARE !! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM GRAND PRAIRIE FORD! Just bought a car there this weekend and it was the worst car buying experience of my life !! I regret buying my car there, was treated like crap , and the financing was very high. When I tried to call back to speak to a manager , I was just given the run around. All these people want to do is make a quick sale-nothing was explained to me . The customer DOES NOT matter at Grand Prairie Ford. On a scale of 1 to 10 the are a minus, ten being the best, they are a -1, Just horrible.
Financing is based on an individuals past credit issues, it has nothing to do with the dealer. I all can say is people are real quick to blame there past problems on someone else. Everyone is real fast to complain when there is a problem but the happy customers just stay happy and come back. They do not spend there days posting lies on the internet to make themself feel better. You have a dealer that sales hundreds of cars a month that has 3 complaints, I would say that is a pretty good track record. I purchase all my cars from Grand Prairie Ford and they are a class act.
