Took car in for service but came back without cruise control working almost 290 for them to check it scumbags they broke it during the service to charge me for fixing it. Shame on them
I purchased my S60 in December 2003. The price offered was the best by far in the region. I thought the salesperson was honest and straightforward and there were no surprises. I have also purchased parts over the years and have been similarly satisfied.
WENT IN FOR NONWORKING CIGARETTE LIGHTER, WHICH IS STATED TO THEM IS PROBABLY THE FUSE SO KINDLY CHECK IT OUT. CAME BACK WITH A BILL OF $138.00 LABOR, 10.00 FOR A FUSE PLUS TAX FOR SIMPLY CHANGING A FUSE. I HEARD MORE SWEET TALKING NONSENSE FROM HERB THAT I WANTED TO REACH OVER THE COUNTER. THESE CROOKS HIDE THEIR DISPLAY OF POSTED CHARGES BEHIND YOU SO YOU DONT SEE THEIR EXORBITANT PRICES. I ENTERED THIS POSTING ON 1/12/11. NEXT IT GOES TO CONSUMER AFFAIRS, AUTO DIVISION. I SHOULD ALSO NOTE THAT JOHN AMBROSIO HAS AN INSULTING WAY HE HANDLES AUTO BUYERS…THINKS HE’S SO SLICK. JOHNNY
I think that Garden State does a great job on new cars but they are not capable of diagnosing problems with older cars
Unhappy Garden State Volvo
I was committed by John D’Ambrosio (salesperson) of Garden State Volvo on a lease price for a new Volvo XC90. After driving from New York, more than half way almost 1 hour and a half. John called me to say that he made a mistake on the lease price. That it was $40 more a month. $1440 more than what he committed to and faxed me in writing. Furthermore, he refused to even budge and would not honor his previous commitment. Told me that I was wasting my time and that even though he, a Garden State Volvo salesperson, committed in writing, since I didn’t have a contract, there was nothing I could do. Buyer Beware of Garden State Volvo. Ron Pelland, the GM of Garden State Volvo was no help either. He said point blank to me “I know that a happy customer refers business and that an unhappy customer is bad for business, that is just a risk I am willing to take”. If you have any question about doing business with Garden State Volvo, beware. You may have a similar experience as I did with Garden State Volvo. You may get suckered too. What’s worse, is that my turn in lease was up, leaving me nowhere else to go. I was treated like garbage by Garden State Volvo, John D’Ambrosio and Ron Pelland, all employees of Garden State Volvo, and this could happen to you too. My advise, lease from a trusted local dealership. They have to face you and your friends and will treat you better as a result. Caution with Garden State Volvo.
This is the only car sales person I have ever trusted, Guy Mauro. We will be purchasing our third car from him this month. He has created a grerat customer life-long relationship for his dealership. I will only buy Volvos now.:D
