This dealer sold me a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer with rusty rotted chassis. The dealers here are experts at cheating and deceiving. The chassis was painted in black to hide the rust. When I took the car to a mechanic for check up I found out the car was not safe to drive. In fact the car was too dangerous to be on the road. The licensed dealer should not put a dangerous car for sale as clean title, but the dealers at Ford of Englewood Inc apparently don’t care about the safety of the customers and they are refusing to give my money back.
I have leased from here before and never had such a bad experience however, it is ridiculous how the sales staff here pushes you to take a car and all is good to make the deal but wait till you walk out wiht hte car and them start to get into issues or have questions. They ALL wash their hands and blame to contact FORD 877 number. DO NOT turst this dealer. they are not honest people to deal with. Whenever you experience that to sell you they are excellent but to help there after the run around starts, then you should NEVER go back to that dealer.
When to see and test drive a f150 I saw on auto trader. It had no turn signals but them sent me on my test drive anyway. This is my first time buying a car on my own. Phil made me leave a deposit so they could run my credit for financing. Now I’ve decided not to get this truck and I am getting the run around on trying to get my deposit back. Multiple phone calls and visits and I still don’t have my money back.
These guys should be reported to the Chevy corporate office nave their franchise pulled. I worked a deal over the phone which I’ve done numerous times since I was driving 3 hours to get this special “internet” deal off of Autotrader. Told them I had may own financing, and ready to buy today. To net it out, once I got their the price was suddenly $5K higher. Total scam, GM could not explain why, said his “attorney” reviewed the add? Really! Obviously he was concerned to. Told me about fine print, but wouldn’t show me because it wasn’t true. Said there was a destination charge….the care was traded in, nice try. These guys are what give salespeople a bad name, absolutely unethical sleazebags. So on my 3 hour trip home, I decided to take this further, and have started the process with Ford corp, and some other organizations. What’s even worse, is others that don’t know the car business, are getting ripped off every day. No different than thieves.
Any work will apparently take all day maybe several, matters not what is being done.
Oil change=Could be ready by this afternoon.
Tires= Definitely not a one day job
Diagnosing a problem=”FORGET ABOUT IT”
Arrogant Staff to boot.
I made a mistake not reading customer reviews and went to this dealership unprepared for the treatment I was about to receive…. well, I only hope that other people can learn a lesson from my mistake and would not waste the time and money going to the Ford of Englewood.
AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP!!!
Horrible attitude of the salespeople and the general manager. I could not get the money back that I paid for motor vehicle even though I ended up not leasing a car from them and obviously no motor vehicle work was done.
STEER CLEAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SERVICE DEPT……….. NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO SMILE OR PROPERLY GREAT CUSTOMER !! ! ! ! Service people appear to be mad at the world…
Came in due to vibration at 15 mph. Told them I thought it was drive shaft. Charged $115 for diagnosis. Diagnosis drive shaft needs to be replaced for $800 plus labor. Asked what was wrong told me mechanic didn’t say. Took to independant shop. Diagnosis bad u-joint. $13 part plus labor. Englewood Ford charged me $115 for a diagnosis which would put an extra $787 in their pocket. Will never go back there again.
The car I purchased had a tranmission problem, which was discovered the next daydue to a noise and a diagnostic at the makers dealer. They also failed to collect my taxes and DMV would not let me pay, stating that the dealer should have collected, which took 9 days to resolve becasue the dealership insisted that DMV was incorrect.. I contacted them to address the transmission problem and was referred to the owner, which took another 15 days to get in touch with. I only requested my car be repaired or reimbursed for the repairs. When I finally spoke to the owner, he told me to contact his lawyer and hung up on me. I have not had any luck to date in resolving my issue, which has cost me an additional $2500, after paying $8,000 up front in cash to purchase the car. The dealership pressured me into signing an as-is waiver, so ladies do not go in there alone. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone else and have learned a lot about my consumer rights and protections afforded by the state of New Jersey. Happy Shopping.
