This place is a damn joke. They put my family in jeopardy by selling me a Volvo that the axel was not put together on. Then the $6000 loaner they gave me broke down at the gas station and was spitting gas everywhere. This owner is burnt out like his dealership. Oh yeah if they say peanut looked at it then don’t believe them and take it to your mechanic, do not trust these people. I blacklist this dealership and would not go back there if you bought the car for me.
This couple came in late one evening looking for a Volvo wagon. I told them that we had just gotten one in and that we were going through it. They saw it and wanted to drive it immediately and then wanted to buy it right then. We told them that there were things that we wanted to look over and they had no problem bringing it back in a few days for us to do that. We bent over backwards for him. We might not be able to please everyone, who can, but we try.
I purchased a used Audi from Green Mountain Motor Cars. At the time of purchase I asked the salesman/owner about a warrenty. He informed me that there was a thirty day warrenty on the motor/power train. Within two weeks the “oil pressure light” was flashing. I drove about a half mile to my house and parked the car, as I realized it was unsafe to drive. I called up Green Mountain Motor car about this, and Jeff informed me that he would only cover repairs performed at the dealership. He also told me it was my responsibility to pay for the towing to his garage (between $260 and $400, based on some estimates I received). This seemed absurd to me as the car was still under warranty, and I suggested that I get it repaired locally and save on the towing expense. I even offered to split the cost of this repair. His response was an offer to pay up to $75 of the repairs. Clearly the warranty from him means nothing. If the car explodes along the side of the road, good luck. Perhaps I should have just driven it until it did, then get it towed up there and had him put in a new engine. Except, of course, he would have found a way to weasel out of that to, I suppose.
My one month 1,000 mile warranty does not cover towing and he just could not get around that. We go above and beyond the call of duty to stand behind the vehicles we sell and help out the new owners. My offer was based on splitting what I felt the repair would cost as he suggested.
