I returned my old Jeep that was coming off lease to East Hills Jeep. I was told that East Hills will contact the lessor and they will come and pick up the car from their lot. Two months after I dropped the car off at East Hills Jeep, I received a bill in the mail from the leasing company for damage on the car. The car was not damaged when I dropped initially dropped it off at East Hills Jeep. When I contacted East Hills Jeep concerning the damage, they acknowledged the damage most likely occurred on their lot and that they would take car of the damage. They strung me along for two months, repeatedly telling me they would pay for the damage, but never did. Now I am forced to pay for the damage that they were responsible for. The people at East Hills Jeep are a bunch of dirtbags. They are dishonest and can’t be trusted.
they suck scam artists that says it all

This is a rating for Service NOT Sales. Had no problems with our Salesman.
Brought a new Jeep in for oil change, problem with Driver side window, FM radio reception stopped working a couple of months after we purchased the Overland (purchase date 9/2011),12 month Sirius free contract only lasting 3.5 months, potential oil leak. . Free Sirius radio was turned off less than 4 months from purchase date (turned off 1/3/2012). Sirius told me that East Hills had to renew the contract as it had a 12 month contract that started 1/3/2011. Steve Osorio was my assigned Service Advisor and that was the start of my problem. He stated they upgraded the radio and he PERSONALLY checked it to make sure it was operating as it was supposed to be (FM radio operating) and there was not any static. Didn’t even make it out of the parking lot and the radio was not working. Steve also told me that I can have free Sirius until 7/23 and at that time we personally would have to arrange something with Sirius to continue the service (12 month Sirius contract was not honored by the dealership). Steve PERSONALLY verified that my oil was not leaking and was I sure no one else parked in my garage spot. In fact he asked me this same question 4 times. I guess he thought I would change my answer? My question is, did he PERSONALLY check my oil leak the same way he PERSONALLY verified there was no static with the radio? I had to bring the car back in to have them check the radio again and unfortunately was stuck with Steve Osorio who concocted a story that they were working with Jeep corporate as the issue with the radio was something they have never seen before and my radio might need to be replaced. He said it was a PROCESS and could take some time working with Jeep Corporate. They kept my care while the PROCESS was ongoing. 2 days later he called me and said my antenna was missing and that was the problem. (The location of the antenna is on the roof of the car). I was told that the replacement of the antenna would not be covered under warranty. Steve then asked if I ever went to a car wash. I replied my kids wash my car, but honestly, the car might have gone to a car wash. Steve then told me that the car wash probably broke off the antenna. Wouldn’t you assume the Service Advisor would have PERSONALLY checked the antenna first since there was no reception? As well, I guess per Steve’s ingenious analysis, Chrysler Jeep telling there owners that no Jeep Grand Cherokee should ever go to a car wash? I ask that as that was the impression I took away with Steve’s comment. A bit absurd, no?
I can’t judge the other Service Advisors as this was our one and only experience with Service at East Hills Jeep. there.I do recommend that if you go there for service, do yourself a favor and refuse that Steve Osorio be assigned to you. Certainly, Steve’s lack of honesty and basic intelligence suggests to me he should consider another profession.
Dear Terry,
I just read your reviews of East Hills Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram and of Steve Osorio. I’m so sorry about your experience at our dealership and with our service writer. We set high standards for our team and from what I read, we could have done a better job.
I’ve reviewed your comments with the owner, service director, and service writer. I’d like to address all the items from your reviews.
Driver Side Window – while your car was in our shop, our assigned technician and service writer were unable to duplicate the driver’s side window not working. We’ve tagged this issue as an “intermittent” issue in our database, but as we were not able to duplicate it, we were not able to eliminate the issue at its source. If this issue reoccurs, please bring your vehicle back to us so we can address.
Oil Leak – I did speak to Steve specifically about this and both he and the technician who worked on your Jeep said they could not identify the source of any leak while the vehicle was in our shop. From your review, it sounds like Steve may have been speculating about how oil could have gotten on your driveway. While his approach probably upset you, I still want to make sure this concern is addressed. Would you let me know if you have witnessed oil leaking from your vehicle since it left our shop?
Sirius Radio – There is no excuse why we did not catch this prior to you taking delivery of your Jeep in September 2011. You are entitled to 12 months of Sirius satellite radio. A January 2012 expiration is not acceptable to me and extending this service until July 2012 is not good enough. I spoke with Sirius earlier today and your Sirius satellite radio contract has been extended through October 5, 2012.
Radio Static – First, I apologize for my team’s lack of communication with respect to the status of your vehicle. Second, my team’s internal communications should have been better so that your concerns were addressed correctly the first time. I can understand how you would question the integrity of the comments from our team based on this history. Notwithstanding our internal communication issues, there still remains a broken antenna that is causing the static. When you took delivery of this vehicle from us in September 2011, the radio was working which supports that the antenna and base were functioning correctly. Chrysler’s refusal to replace the antenna and base under their warranty is driven by the fact that the antenna and base were correctly functioning at time of delivery. Steve should not have speculated what might have happened to the antenna/base as it seems to have added fuel to the fire. My service director does not believe the entire radio needs to be replaced (as mentioned in your review), only the antenna mast and base. The cost to perform this repair is $360.00 plus tax. We would like to offer you a 20% goodwill discount on this repair, resulting in a net cost of $288.00 plus tax. I would be happy to schedule an appointment for you at your convenience with a different service writer.
I look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Phil Wolhar

My experience at East Hills was excellent, the salesperson
Fred Borzooye was knowledgeable and pleasant. Coming off an AUDI lease I was very concerned, but Fred was the best and addressed my concerns.
Very happy with East Hills Jeep, my 2012 Grand Cherokee Laredo and the price was great.
Thanks Fred

16.I leased my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee at the end of April, I can say what a disapointment this SUV has been. I have been to my dealer East Hills Jeep 5 times already. This SUV is junk. I have had water leakage, black and blue smoke from exhaust, front and back windows replaced. I have also submitted 3 complaints to Jeep about the street tires that came with my Trail Rated Jeep which the sticker states On/Off road tires which they are not.
I get a new car every 3 years this is my first and definitley my last Jeep product. Jeep customer Service is a joke. They have stated that the tires on my Jeep are Trail Rated and is what supposed to be on truck. I do not think so touring tires are not On/Off road tires.
East Hills Jeep never have any loaner cars even though they tell you they will when you drop Junk I mean car off. I have waited an average of 4 hours at a time for my car. They also damaged my car while in service and had to bring it to an Auto Body shop for repair. And in a few years when my lease is up wonder what they will say when I go back to GM or Toyota.
We took our jeep here after it was banged up in a traffic accident. They kept the car long after the original, the second, and even the third promised delivery date – all in all almost three weeks after being told three days.
In addition to the inconvenience, the insurance company considered it an unacceptable length of time and would not cover the car rental past two weeks. The East Hills representatives claimed that they had “worked it all out” with the insurance company – that turned out to be a flat out lie.
Finally, the work done was shoddy, at best. The car squeaks noticeably, various parts are poorly re-attached, and the steering is still somewhat off.
In short, it took forever, they lied regularly (whether intentionally or unintentionally), and repairs to the repairs are needed.
Ever since I took the car for it’s first scheduled Oil Change, I informed the tech that the car felt like it would stall on occasions but never actually did, to please check the problem. And every time after that it’s the same answer from them; nothing to worry about Sir. Guess what? today it did. That was scary, as I’m approaching the Van Wyck Expressway, the car stalls, and the steering wheel froze. Luckily, I was on the right lane. I switch the key off and call for Towing. I waited a while to restart the car and drove back home. This happens almost a year later after I bought the vehicle. Did I get a LEMON? Maybe. This place never has a loaner available for your inconvenience. This is the first thing they mention during their sales pitch. Don’t be surprised if you get charged for oil change; I was told it would be on them if I buy the car from them, the second thing they mention during their sales pitch I still ended up paying, until my wife noticed it. Did not get reimbursed either for the previous times I paid. Two weeks after I took the car for the so called 13000 or 15000 miles service, (OIL CHANGE) is flashing on the dashboard screen. What exactly is done when a car is taking for service? No Oil change for sure.
They were friendly from the time I entered until I left. The sales associate that helped me was very informative and not pushy or even remotely rude. He was a charming guy who seemed to know a lot about what he was telling me about the cars I was looking at. I was in the market for a used Jeep and they had quite a few available for me to look at and test drive. I settled on the 08′ model because I liked the color and the miles were low. My salesman made the purchase process a pleasure, cracking jokes and making me feel very comfortable without using usual sales tactics and manipulations. The finance area was a little stressful, but that’s probably because it’s the part that involves money, but they did hear me out and seemed like they were trying to cut me a break. I paid a very fair price for the truck I selected and overall I am very pleased with the entire dealership. I recommend them.
This is one of the finest dealerships I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with. I was in the market for a Dodge Challenger so I went to a few local Dodge dealers. This one stood out for good reasons. I was greeted instantly and in a very friendly manner by my future sales rep. Dean. Who was a real nice guy and very helpful. He was a good salesman, not pushy or overbearing, but still informative. I knew what I wanted already so it was just a matter of figuring out options, colors and pricing. He explained the trade in process and we went over the details which didn’t take as long as I thought it would. I was in the dealership for a few hours, maybe three hours tops and that’s it. My past car buying experiences have taken up half the day and by the end of it I was tired and not thinking clearly, which lead to bad decisions. That was not the case this time. It was fast and I felt sure of everything that went on. There was no pressure or sneakiness involved whatsoever. I walked out the proud and VERY happy owner of the car I wanted, which I got for a great price after trade-in. I came back the next day with my cashiers check, paid and the deal was done. It went very smoothly and I gotta thank Dean and everyone else down at East Hills for making it so easy. I love my Challenger and I couldn’t be happier with the price I paid for her. I’ll definitely be returning for service. Thanks guys! – Fred
I am always hesitant to try a new mechanic because as a single woman I constantly feel like I’m being ripped off, lied to or just overpaying. I asked my older brother to come with me when I went to East Hills just to make sure everything was up to par. With him there I had no issues whatsoever and it was inexpensive and quick. So I returned alone for my next service and it went just as well as the first time. I’ve been there six times now and each time I am treated with kindness and patience. I’ve never been ripped off and they are always on time. I’m a regular customer now and I couldn’t be happier, I finally found a mechanic I can trust.
I’m never ever goign to another dealership again. Nt after going here. They were so nice and helpful. I have never experienced anything like it. it was such a easy process i was happy. I saved a lot of time and money by going to east hills. realy nice sales guy by the name of George helped us out, great man. I will go back for service and recomend to my family and friends.
Good customer service. I was looking for a 2008 Nissan Murano and I saw Nemet had it on their website. The sales guy I think his name was Steve was great. He came down on the price and gave me some extras like free oil changes in the deal. He didn’t try to talk me into a new model or anything else I didn’t want. I definitely recommend them.
I bought a certified pre-owned car here, Certified meant absolutely nothing. My brakes were shot and needed replacing within 3k miles, my tires were cupped, and the battery went dead all within a month. I worked with the dealership manager in good faith after getting all of these put into writing by a Jeep dealership in my area and they refused to settle, or even make the smallest concession. You can trust me when I write this. If you buy a car from East Hills, once you sign the papers, you are on your own.
