I love my car yet it has had it’s issues. My most important question to my sales person was “Do you check and replace normal things like filters, fluids etc before you put it on the lot for sell?” He told me “Yes we have an extensive check point system for all used cars and replace all filters, fluids and we fix everything we find wrong before placing the vehicle on the lot to sell.” I have a picture of the nasty air and gas filter that I paid my mechanic to replace shortly after purchasing the car, I even showed them the actual air filter and nobody cared. To me it is more about the point of being lied to. I can’t stand for someone to lie to me. I still would have purchased the car but would have had the knowledge that I would have to make some minor repairs at my cost to my mechanic. I will purchase another car from them but their service department will not touch it. I only received attitude and was treated like I was stupid by the Service Department. By the way service boys that leaking I felt on my foot on that hot day shortly after I purchased the vehicle was not just condensation I actually have to have a new air compressor and went all summer again without running my A/C due to I don’t want to have to replace the whole A/C unit and being a single Mom I have to save what I can when I can for the air compressor and labor. The one that used to be in charge of it made some comments about me to a personal friend and that was uncalled for. Please let Bobby know that I never asked for anything free and he should be careful of who he runs his mouth to about your customers. I always said I would pay. Beware of the free oil change and rotation and balance of your tires on your car for one year. The oil change is just that, a straight up oil change. They didn’t even check the filters and fluids even though I requested and was willing to pay. I understand that the type of vehicle that I purchased the back tires are larger than the front tires so they can’t rotate but I was led to believe they had at least balanced them and they didn’t but at least it was “free” for them to have my car all day for simple things. I did appreciate the car detail they did though. My advice is when you purchase a used car it is always going to be hit or miss and nobody can predict what might go wrong with the vehicle down the road, remember it is a used vehicle, but when you buy one from Peters Auto Mall understand there can’t be any type of check point system as they claim just due to the look of my air and gas filters. They get the vehicle makes sure it runs okay and throw it out on the lot to sell. I would expect an honest dealer to have at the very least given me a proper statement of what was wrong with the air compressor. I gave five stars for the way the general staff treated me I give the Service Dept. 0 stars. I also give the “girls” at check out time after your car is supposedly serviced 0 stars. If you are in a bad mood or don’t like your job that’s your problem you should always be smiling and nice when someone is paying for any type of work done on the their vehicle. You ladies need to get rid of your attitudes also.
I would NEVER purchase another vehicle from this dealership and I would NEVER refer anyone to buy from this dealership. I bought a car for my 17 year old son. The salesman specifically told me that if ANYTHING were to go wrong with the car within 30 days that I could bring it back and it would be repaired with no charge to me. I also had a 90 day warranty (with limitations of course) in addition to what I was told. I bought the car on February 18, 2013. From February 20, 2013 – March 4, 2013 I have put antifreeze in the car EVERY DAY because there was a leak. I called and took the car back to Peters on March 4, 2013. I was called and told that to pick up the car it would normally be $400.00 but that since I had just bought the car less than 2 WEEKS ago that they would cut me a deal and I would only have to pay $202.00. What kind of deal this is, I certainly can’t figure out. By far, this was the absolute WORST experience I have ever had while purchasing a car. I was misinformed and lied to without any consequence to anyone at that dealership. I would warn anyone who even thinks about purchasing a car NEVER go there.
I had a similar experience. I took my car in for a free oil change one month after purchasing the car and Peter’s Auto Mall damaged my car resulting in repairs I didn’t need prior to pulling in to their lot. I was also told they would only charge me “half” for the repairs since I had just purchased the car. Not only that, while repairing the damages, they further damaged my car resulting in a 2 year long battle to get it fixed. This is the most unethical business I have ever dealt with. I make sure to tell everyone that will listen about my ordeal with them so they will not be duped by these morons.
this is the worse dealership in the world and chapelhill is saying the true becaese it happen to me to you should not trust this dealership because is just bad
Jason I apologize for your recent experience at our dealership. Peters Auto Mall is here to make sure you find the vehicle you want for the right price. I’m deeply concerned about your feelings regarding our staff. Please give me a call as soon as possible.

this is the worst dealership in the world i almost killed my family and my self because of one of the cars they sell if you are intelligent enough dont you ever buy from this dealership you know my brother had 4 surgeries done because of their fault and they even told publicly that is true that my car was wrong but sorry too late this is the worst thing that had ever happen to me and my family when i went to fix my car bratt told me to stick my car through my ass please dont buy a car from this dealer because if you do you will be putting at risk not only you but also your family
Wow, that sounds really familiar. A “Christian” dealership who tells customers to stick it up their ass…LOL
they can be all the christian they want but brat told me that

It’s terrible what happened to your brother. I hope he will be okay. I never dreamed that you would actually go through with this. You threatened to wreck the car and sue the dealer. Phone calls were recorded. I pray that your brother has a speedy recovery. You didn’t even hit the breaks? Why? Are you even the least bit remorseful about what happened to your brother?
look jeffrey i really dont know if they are paying you to say that like they are trying to do to some of my real friends that are not turning their back on me or you are trying to safe your 500 dollar job but all i can say is all that dealerships fault and if you say you have does recordings save them you will deply need it evendogh i know what i said and that was “if something happen to me or my family you will be the only responsible” but i recomend you save your suppost recordings and dont try to buy people God will make me justice by the way you are not going to scare me away from making my lawsuit by calling me and telling me that something worse is going to happen if i put a lawsuit on you i trust GOD and justice for me will come
Careful when buying car to this Dealer especially on the warranty they offered – mine, the window motor broke this morning and could not close them and if will rain today, it will go inside the car and ruin everything especially the carpet and all other things. Or I have to cover them with plastic which is not nice to look at. It will cost almost $300 to replace them and they said it is not covered under warranty, I am so sad… I bought this car just last year and I could not believe it is not covered under their warranty. This is basic parts of the car – I understand if it was the car stereo that will not be covered because I could live with it but this window motor, and you could not close them at all. It is a problem. Hoping it will not rain this week.
The warranty that is sold is provided by an outside source I would imagine. This is something you should have investigated yourself before purchasing the additional warranty. Most warrantys cover mechanical issues of the car ie the actual motor/transmission etc… not an upgrade to a vehicle such as power windows. This was a used car you purchased not a new car with a bumper to bumper 3 yr 30,000 mile warranty.
I’m very sorry to hear about your car window. We at Peters Auto Mall want you to be satisfied with your purchase.
Please contact me to discuss this matter.

This place is a joke an i would never go there EVER again. You would be better off getting a new car for $12,000 then a used one that has proublems that they will not tell u about. An when they say they will help you out that means they are lieing to the bank an saying you make more then you do to get you in one of there cars. So in the end there way of helping you is but taken your money! PETERS AUTO MALL- YOU PAY US CASH FOR OUR CLUNKERS should be there slogan.
We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced Josh. Our staff works hard to get every customer into the right vehicle for a reasonable price.
We would like to discuss this matter with you further. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

Here is a paragraph from a letter I received in the mail from Darren Whitehead/General Manager of Peter’s Auto Mall:
“I am sorry that you are not satisfied with your car. If there is any way that we can make you feel better about the experience here, please feel free to give me a call. We strive to be honest and ethical in our business practices. We cannot, however, expect such from all of our customers. I hope that you won’t continue to spread lies about us across the internet.”
Only problem is…everything I have stated in regards to my situation has been 100% truth and exercises my First Amendment Rights according to the Constitution of this wonderful nation we live in: allowing an individual to express themselves through publication and dissemination; part of the constitutional protection of freedom of expression.
find it rather strange that most of the good reviews are from people who run in the same circle of “friends”…very in-ter-est-ing…
Gale, I couldn’t agree more, very ironic…As of today, Peter’s Auto Mall has failed to respond to my second email to set up at time and location to repair damages incurred by them on my vehicle. The Better Business Bureau has informed me that they are bound in writing to honor the replacement. Yet, they are so prompt at replying to the positive comments on here…
Another thing, a true Christian based business would not behave in the manner they do. They use the “free car” promotion to lure in people who are desperate for a car. Anyone knows that true charity comes from the heart and should be done out of anonymity and not for recognition!!!
Tonya I would love for you and I to talk! My name is Kristi Weatherman and you are so right about these crooked people who would like to call themselves Christians!! There’s a lot of crooked things going on over there and I’m going to get everyone I know involved in this! You can contact me at [email protected] Hope to hear from you!
Bought a car here. Dealer promised to fix automatic door locks, electrical system problems, ripped driver’s seat and extensive water leaks that started immediately after purchase. A two day attempt to fix problems was botched. During ice storm the front floor board was saturated with water. The interior windows froze-over when the heater was turned on and driver and his 14 year old son were almost killed when the pulled in front of an on-coming car. Driver had to keep air conditioner on to negate the temperature difference. The car was taken straight to dealership who refused to do an immediate repair or give buyer another car for a safe return home for him and his minor son. Dealer lied to the BBB and stated that he offer the buyers their money back.

Me and my wife had for a while been looking for a nice and dependable truck and we had found many but many dealerships gave us the runaround telling us that we needed this and that,so we decide to go to peters auto mall and we found what we where looking for,got aproved within minutes so now we own a truck, thanks to Javon and his sales experience and was very helpful. He answered any questions that i had.I would recomend Javon to anyone thats looking to buy a vechile.
Hmmm, let me take a wild guess and say you are probably paying close to 20% interest on the car you bought. Of course they helped you out. They probably got the car for close to nothing while you will be paying 3 times what it is worth in the end!!!
Thank you Pedro and Jannet for this wonderful five star review! You can always depend on Peters Auto Mall to help you find reliable and affordable vehicle that will meet your needs. We will be happy to help any friends or family in need of a new car. Visit our dealership on Facebook and Twitter anytime.

here to read these
I have been dealing with Peters Auto Mall for many years. They are upfront, no hassles, no BS. My last car was a BMW 745. Great car. Great deal. They helped me even though my credit was less than perfect. I have read these other reviews and find the negative ones totally out of character for Kevin and his staff. Kevin has helped me anytime I needed it. And, he gives til it hurts to his community. I could go on and on. Anyway, thanks KP and Darren.
I find it ironic that the first “positive” comments have started rolling in, all in a 24 hour period. It seems to me that Peter’s Auto Mall has persuaded a few individuals to defend their poor business practice, especially since they seem to be on a first name basis with the owner and general manager…hmm
I find it ironic that you have been spewing your lies all day. If you need a job, give me a call. My profile isn’t private. Anyway, haters gonna hate.
Thank you very much for the kind words Jason. We do our best to give everyone the best service possible. We hope you’re enjoying the BMW and continue to be a customer for years to come. Please don’t hesitate to call us if you have any questions or concerns. Take the time visit our Facebook and Twitter pages.

I would like to know how you can tell someone who entered one of your contest and didnt win..you call them and tell them to come down and you will help them out with a car..you put a 22 year old in a 25,000 dollar with payments of 470.00 dollars a month for 6 years..he only makes 10.00 dollars and something an hour has twins on the way, you should not try to talk someone into something like that if you are trying to help them, plus when you called you said you would send a gas card of course which you never did..I AM SO UPSET OVER THIS I hope I can find someone to help him!!!
Gale Smith…I urge you to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I did. Peter’s Auto Mall has an A rating with the BBB but I aim to change this! Peter’s Auto is the most dishonest and unethical business I have ever dealt with. I lost around $15,000 due to their sketchy business practices. Their claim as a “Christian” based business is just a ploy to sell more over priced cars (usually salvaged) to unsuspecting victims.
Of course, they didn’t respond…LIARS!
05/16/2012 No Response from Business re: Consumer
Rebuttal
05/01/2012 Forward Consumer Rebuttal to Business
04/30/2012 Received Consumer Rebuttal
I reviewed the complaint response and saw an updated answer from the business stating they would offer a solution. Given the circumstances, I am willing to accept this offer if the work is performed at a qualified business that deals with auto electronics and not at Peter’s Auto.

Ms. Hunt is complaining about non warranty items. If she would be satisfied with a new cd player we would buy her one. However, I don’t believe she would.

I purchased my car through this dealership for $17,000. What I do know is that the people I dealt with were dishonest. I was not told of any damages to the car I purchased until AFTER I had signed the paperwork and completed the purchase. Dealerships are required to disclose such pertinent information, especially when the damages are as excessive as they were in my case. My car had been involved in two significant impacts with a ditch; air bags deployed, body frame damage (so severe the car was towed). In addition to these facts, my car was purchased by Peter’s Auto Mall at an auto auction where it was announced to have frame damage and had been used as a rental/lease vehicle. None of this information was disclosed to me in my dealings with this business. Keep in mind that these are not damages that could be seen during inspection of the vehicle by the average consumer. I am unable to sell this vehicle because the value with these damages is only half of what I paid and still owe.
Also, my purchase included a year of free oil changes. During my first oil change, my car was further damaged and this business refused to take responsibility for the problems that occurred as a result of their errors. When I tried to negotiate a solution that was in the best interest of both parties, the owner made promises to take care of the situation. Weeks later, nothing had been resolved and I again tried speaking to them in person. The owner told me to “get the hell out of his office”. I am a single mother and depended on these individuals to sell me a car that was worth my hard earned money. Now I stand to lose a lot of money because of their unethical business practices.
We traveled for 3 hours to see this dealership, he said the car we were looking at was in great condition, well when we showed up, the car was in terrible shape, scratched up an just not the quality they had promised. Their paint jobs were not professional at all, and some of the cars had an acid rain dry on it, so it looks like they left soap on the car and never washed it off. And Little Rob promised to buy us gas for the pick up truck we drove, he gave us $15 which isnt even 4 gallons, it hardly moved the needle, i would give this dealership over a negative 1 out of 5.
A BIG RIPOFF DEALERSHIP!!!!
