So after leaving a dealer in lynn that gave me the run around I decided to visit this dealer only cause a couple of my friends and co-workers have purchased from them. After reading the reviews I was shocked Now when we arrived I can admitt noone at all ran out to greet us we walked in and the receptionist had to get us a salesman and Lucky me I got Joe. He was awsome and I knew what kinda car I wanted year everything, they had it 2010 camry low miles clean in the inside n out drives smoothe. I did the app put my money down they got me financed and I picked up my car 4 days later smelling and riding good and til this day it’s perfect. Joe answered all my questions even on his day off he gave me a call to let me know what was going on and what the status was cause i got a electric starter put in. I’m sorry that others wasn’t pleased but I have to say Joe was awsome 🙂
Very deceptive practices. They advertised on the web a 2010 Sentra with a Nissan Certified Pre-Owned warranty of 7yrs/100K miles which was a complete lie. Having been to 2 other Nissan dealerships, I knew what the warranty conditions were and when I confronted them about it, first they denied it was on the web, when I showed them that indeed it was, they claimed it was in fact a CPO car, but Nissan doesn’t allow transfer of the CPO and the car could not possibly be a CPO vehicle.
They also at first stated the car was not a rental but a ‘fleet’ car which the CarFax clearly stated it WAS a former rental car.
They actually used the Nissan CPO logo on the ad, which they have pulled off the web.
Very shady and deceptive and I would not recommend to anyone to shop here for a car unless you enjoy high pressure lies.
Great dealership. I’ve been shopping for Toyota Camry 2008 couple weeks from now. Finally came to the McGee Superstore in Pembroke on Black Friday. The customer service is excellent. They don’t push you, like many other dealerships do, give a time to think, open to negotiations. I had a salesperson Walid (highly recommend this guy). He just started working in the car-business, so he is not spoiled by it and is very nice man and polite. Any question you ask – he has an answer. The manager who closed the deal, Sofiane, was tolerant and respectful. He didn’t let me go before I got a great deal!!!
Shopping the vehicle is tough and very tedious process, you have to be patient and persistent in order to get a good deal from the seller. 100% satisfied with this dealership!!!
I recommend this place to everybody. Those who had a bad experience with them either met the wrong person in a bad mood or don’t know how to shop the car.
Thank you McGee dealership.
I HAVE BEEN SCAMMED SO BAD, IT’S ALMOST UNREAL. HOW CAN IT BE THAT YOU ARE TOLD A CAR COSTS X AMOUNT OF DOLLARS TO THEN DISCOVER YOU ARE PAYING DOUBLE THAT???? These people are all snakes, they are all in it together!!! If you happen to see any positive reviews anywhere on the internet for McGee Pre Owned, Pembroke MA, I can assure you, it was someone from the company who was instructed to write them to offset the truth! This place is the worst scammers in the world, honestly I do not know how you guys can live with yourselves knowing your ruining the lives and credits of innocent people??? This, by far is the worst car dealership in MA. One day, (hopefully soon) your company will be out of business and then u can sit and scratch ur asses and see what it feels like BUNCH OF ASSHOLES!!!! IF YOU DONT WANT TO GET SCAMED I ADVISE YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART DO NOT COME HERE SINCERELY, SCAMMED OUT OF MY MONEY & VERY VERY UPSET CONSUMER !!!!
Barry Amadou is no longer with McGee the company does not advertise at dealer cost anymore… Sorry we made you so upset.
Jamie Mckay
In August I purchased a car that I had seen on the website. I was TOLD that because of my credit, I would have to pay a high monthly fee for 3 months. After the 3 months I would be able to WALK in to the dealership and they could lower my payments as long as my payments were all made on time. 3 months passed, I walked in and was told “We dont do that here…” They suggested I trade my car in for an older model because that must have been what the salesman meant. How on earth does that make sense??? Why would I drive a hgh-priced car I love for 3 months to have to trade it in for a cheaper piece of crap??? The gentleman we spoke to made no effort to fix the problem and insisted we were mistaken. The truth is, we were lied to to make a sale. I should have known when they had me drive home with my 5 yr old in the car with NO GAS and a nail in my tire! Stay far away from this place!!!
😡
I saw the make and year of a vehicle I wanted on their Internet site. I called McGee “Superstore” to confirm the year, mileage, price and availability. They confirmed the information, including the price. I drove approx. 30 miles to McGee to test drive the vehicle. When I went to buy the vehicle, they said the advertised price does not cover their costs to warranty and do their mulit point check on the vehicle and the real sale price was approx. $4,000 more than the advertised price.
I explained I had called and confirmed the price. They would not honor what they had on the web and had confirmed on the phone.
STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE.
My daughter and I drove to Pembroke from Cape Cod on Monday to test-drive a 2005 Jetta that my daughter saw on the internet. After filling out credit applications for a three-year loan on the balance – I was to co-sign for her – and giving our salesman, Barry, a $3,000 down payment for the car, we were told that there was no problem and we were to wait a few minutes for things to be ‘processed’.
My partner’s name was on the check, and at one point Barry came back & asked if it was all right to have my partner co-sign for the loan, and we told him that since my partner had supplied the down payment, we thought he had done enough for us. Again, we were assured there was ‘no problem’ and it would be just a few minutes more.
Long story short, we spent about five hours at McGee. We waited inside the building for a couple of hours then went out to the parking lot. The majority of the employees were outside smoking a great deal of the time. We watched as a large man in a blue shirt literally shrieked and swore – as in loud enough to echo off the other buildings on Schoonset Street – at the salesmen.
The scene outside convinced us we had given McGee enough of our time, and my daughter went inside to get her down payment back.
She spent approximately two hours attempting to retrieve the down payment from the salesman, who kept telling her just to wait a few more minutes. At about 4:30 he told her that the only financing they were able to secure for us was for a very specific 2009 Toyota Corolla, and that the deal was not applicable to the Jetta. At this point I was sitting outside in my car. My daughter came out and told me about the Corolla. I asked her what the price of the car was. She said they did not tell her, but the man in the blue shirt suddenly appeared at my window so I asked him how much for the Corolla, and he said ‘I don’t know’. He then said that the loan payment was only $9 more a month, which ‘wasn’t going to break the bank’ and also told me that if I didn’t accept this deal, I had ‘wasted (his) whole day.’
I went to get my daughter, who had politely gone back inside to hear the pitch about the Corolla (although she had no interest in the car) and to retrieve her $3,000 check, which they were still refusing to return. I asked the salesman, Barry, what was the cost of the Corolla and he said ‘I don’t know’.
It eventually came out that although the loan payment for the Toyota, which we did not want, was only $9 more a month, the loan was for five years and not the original agreed-to three year loan for the Jetta. I don’t think we were ever told the actual price of the Corolla McGee Superstores was so anxious to unload.
While the salesman was talking to the man in the blue shirt, I saw our application folder on the desk and opened it. The first thing I saw was that my name was misspelled, and my daughter asked me if that might be the reason we couldn’t get a loan.
The check was there, and I took it back, which upset the salesman but now we were able to leave. It was now after five o’clock.
This was an appalling experience. The unprofessional attitude of the man in the blue shirt – he appeared to be some sort of manager – was unbelievable.
I was caught in a deal i didn’t want. At first it seemed like i was getting a good deal but at the end everything changed because (due to my stupidity) i didn’t pay attention to the numbers on the paper which were about $4000 more than the verbal agreement. So i would edvise anybody bying a vehicle there to be very careful.
AWEFUL!!! advertised price is not the price. shady shady practices. read the better bussiness bureaus reviews. they told me that mcgee doesnt do anything actually illegal so they can’t “get them” but they are absolutely shady and disgusting!
This website was brought to my attention by my fiance. She thought it was pretty funny that, after reading all theses lousy reviews, that I had purchased my car from them.
After reading them all, It actually made me re-think my own experiance there, as the experiance for me was a positive one.
I found a car I wanted on their website (08 Impalla) and saw a very low price of 7900, which was several thousands lower than I could find anywhere else. I did not believe the ad until I saw in large lettering, headlining the page, “All prices reflect dealer cost”
Now, perhaps it is because I have been a subscriber to “consumer reports” for the past 15 years, or maybe it was just common sense, but I KNEW that the car wasnt for sale at “dealer cost”, but was a STARTING point to make an offer.
For those who don’t realise it, “Consumer Reports” has been telling its readers for the past several decades to NEVER but a car without seeing the invoice and making a fair offer, and as anyone who didn’t just fall off the bannana truck yesterday afternoon should know…..the dealer has to make a PROFIT.
So, I go to the dealership on a Saturday afternoon. They were very busy, people everywhere and a giant yard filled with cars. It took a while to get waited on, but as I said, they were very busy.
Anyway, make a long story short, I make an offer, we went back and forth a few times and we made a deal. The final price of 9900 was still lower by at least 1500 than I expected they would accept because at the time that car was being advertised at other places were close to or in the 12000 range.
Yes, I was brought into the sales office and a guy tried to sell me an extended warranty. I said “no” He kept trying but I didn’t but it.
Ok, he tried to sell me a warranty, thats his job, he is on commision, but judging these previous reviews, it would seem that some people dont understand this.
Bottom line is this……I got a great deal on a low milage car. It was possible because this dealer reveals HIS COST for you to make an offer ABOVE his cost.(profit)No one in the dealership was rude to me as some people have claimed, there was no yelling, the car was cleaned and detailed for me, the tank was filled, my paperwork contained a CarFax (I didnt even ask for it)All of the regestration and title work and all that was done for me.
I suspect that at least some of these bad reviews were done by this dealers competition, some of whome I suspect find it difficult to compete with these prices.
Clearly, an employee from the snake pit. LOL.
I see this ‘review’ contains the same spelling errors as all the (three) other ‘positive reviews’ for McGee on the net
The internet listing is correct?
Funny. When I dragged my family in there last night, your unnecessarily aggressive closer had something different to say. More along the lines of “Thats what we paid for it. Did you ask if that was the cost or what?” Throw in the arrogant “didn’t you check the blue book on this” and I was more than happy to take my money elsewhere after escaping. If the intention is to treat customers poorly, you have done a great job. Advertise a car for $5500 and then say its actually $12,999? Silly.
I understand its a business and being a shark works with some people. What you did last night was BS though. Bring me in with a bogus price/false advertising? Sure thats crappy on your part, but I get why you do it – it got me to the dealership. To then insult me in front of my family with your lame overzealous sales tactics? Foolish. Clearly, word of mouth means nothing to you guys. I especially liked the “you live locally so you can bring it in for repairs” line. How about, I live locally maybe you shouldn’t be a total dick to me?
I truly feel bad for any unprepared weak willed individual that has the misfortune of stepping into that snake pit. I am still floored by how you guys operate and that you are actually successful with it. You are going to make the next dealerships job that much easier. All they will have to do is be decent and polite.

HI,
Tonight works great! The internet listing is correct! See you then
**** sent 45 Minutes ago (1:03pm) Nick,
I could swing by the dealership after work tonight, but probably wouldn’t be able to make it down there till around 7:30.
One question: Is the listed price of $5506 including a specific down payment amount or is that the flat asking price?
Thanks for your time.
They charged me $20,900 for a 2007 huyndai elantra with 12,000 miles on it. They put the $2,000 warranty in the sales aggreement without asking me. I tried to cancel the warranty two days after I bought the car and they told me to come back in a month. Then I came back in a month and signed a paper to cancel the warranty. Two months later I called the warranty company and it still was not cancelled. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER,. THEY ARE LIARS AND THEIFS. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER,. THEY ARE LIARS AND THEIFS. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER,. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER,. THEY ARE LIARS AND THEIFS. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER,. THEY ARE LIARS AND THEIFS. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER 😡
I just purchased a car from there recently and wish i never signed a contract. I tried to get out of the deal the next day and they said I couldn’t. The manager is a ******* and should not have that position. They don’t explain the sale price to you and when you realize that your being ripped off they say well you already signed the contract. They suck and there prices are way to high you can get the same car a few thousands less somewhere else. The cars do look good at first glance then once you really look the bodies aren’t even close to perfect. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE!!! RIP OFF!!!
From start to finish, this dealer is DECEPTIVE!
Prices on their website is their “dealer price,” meaning it’s what THEY paid for the car… however, they are NOT clear about what their intended sale price would be.
The sales people take forever to greet you, and when they finally do, they leave you waiting for long periods at a time (not just Barry, ALL OF THEM). I ended up being there for 4 hours! While I was there, someone was in a room SWEARING and SCREAMING his head off, and there were children in the waiting area.
I bought the car because mine was falling apart, but they did not tell me the actual price, just the monthly installments. I have had the car for less than a week, and it’s been in the shop for 4 out of 6 days for repairs, even though it’s an ’08. They are not holding up their promise to give me an alignment, which was the agreed term of signing the contract.
They checked I don’t even know HOW many banks before they approved my credit, and I have a feeling my credit score is about 100pts lower thanks for that.
AVOID… PLEASE don’t even try going, you will regret it for YEARS.
This Dealership is the worst…We saw 2 vechicles we were interested in called & spoke to Nick S. asked if they were there. Wanted to double check… he said they were both still there we drove 1- 1//2 hours with 3 small children. We got there a nice sales guy James greeted us, we were disappointed to be told neither one was there! We asked for Nick S. who we spoke to on the phone he supposley stepped out! I can not beleive they are that desperate to sell vechicles to even lie to potential customers just to get them there even if the vechicles they asked about were not. I will never buy or reccomend them to anyone. If they are that dishonest & desperate to get people there how do you there vechicles are? SAVE YOURSELF time especially if your driving far with children! 😡
WENT TO LOOK AT ONE CAR, CALLED BEFORE I WENT DOWN THERE AND WAS TOLD “YES ITS HERE AND READY FOR YOU TO TEST DRIVE” – GOT THERE, DID A CREDIT CHECK, FILLED OUT PAPERS ECT – THEN WAS TOLD “ITS NOT HERE, ITS IN THE SHOP” – WAS SHOWN OTHER CARS/SUVS – FOUND ONE THAT WORKED – OR SO I THOUGHT….. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AS I WAS ENTERING BOSTON – BROUGHT IT BACK, GOT IT “FIXED” (THEY STILL HAVE NEVER SENT ME AN INVOICE, AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS TO HAVE IT MAILED, FAXED ECT) – NOW IT PICKS AND CHOOSES WHEN IT WANTS TO START, ITS A V6 AND HAS NO POWER AT ALL – HESITATES WHEN GIVING GAS, “TICKS” WORSE WHEN ACCELERATING. NOT BRINGING IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP – EVEN THOUGH I STILL HAVE A WARRANTY – IM BRINGING IT TO A CHEVY DEALERSHIP, ASKING THEM TO GIVE ME A LIST OF EVERYTHING THAT IS WRONG AND ASKING THEM TO TELL ME IF ANYTHING HAS BEEN “REPLACED” RECENTLY BECAUSE I FIND IT SO ODD THAT MCGEE STILL HASNT SENT ME AN INVOICE, ???DID THEY EVEN FIX ANYTTHING??? I THINK NOT….. I WOULD LOVE TO RETURN THIS CAR – TYPICAL SALESMAN, SMILE IN YOUR FACE AND SELL YOU A P.O.S. CAR — ITS A 2006, SHOULD BE WORKING!!!!!! THIS HAS BEEN SUCH A HASSLE – SUCH A NIGHTMARE – TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SOMEONE LIKE THIS IS BEYOND REASON. FAIR WARNING —- DO NOT BUY FROM HERE — SNAKES, ALL OF THEM, ESP RICHARD V, THE SALESMAN — THEY CAN TAKE MY RESPECT AND ROT!
I purchased a 2009 Nissan Altima on January 29,2010 from McGee Pre owned Super Store. Three days later Feburary 1, McGee called me to let me know that the bank I had been approved through was requiring more money down or a co-signer after I had already signed the contract. I went to the McGee with my mom and tried to give the car back, but the salesman said that if we left the car there he would have it towed at the owners expense. He said it was not returnable, that I owned the car. He said that “it wasn’t a new pair or shoes, you can’t just return it.” We agreed if I traded in my other car I would be all set. I noticed that the color of the car was wrong on all paper work including my registration. The salesman said not to worry about it. I signed a new contract.Three days after this occured, Feburary 5, I receieved several more calls from the dealership saying I was actually not approved by the original bank and they wanted to switch my loan to a different bank. I felt as though this was very unorthodox and felt uncomfortable with having to sign three different contracts. I consulted a lawyer and was advised to not answer any calls until she spoke to them. I was called multiple times at my home, work, and on my cell phone. They left me voicemails stating that they were going to unregister my car if I did not go there to sign the new paper work. On Feburary 13, I went to the dealership with my mother and lawyer. Once explained I did sign the new contract on. We requested that the color was changed on all paper work including my regristration. The color of the car was changed on my paper work, but not on my registration. I also asked for a signed affidavit that the dealership had run my credit multiple times and I was not aware of that becasue they told me that I was all set the night I bought the car. Then I started to recieve multiple letters from different banks denying my auto loan. I asked for a letter so in the event that this showed up on my credit report (which it did) it was not done at my request. The salesman then typed a few sentences, and printed it on a plain piece of paper. We said that what he typed was fine, but asked if he could print it on a piece of letter headpaper with a date on it, and sign it. Once I asked for this the salesmen became hostile and began yelling. He said something along the lines of “you have to leave you can”t be taking up our time.” He refused to give us his name. The salesman began shouting in our faces and threatened to call the police on us. We left with the car, for a third time. I have called the bank for an address to mail my payment, but the bank said they have no record of me. I don’t know what McGee is doing but I am all done playing their games. THEY SCREWED UP BIG TIME.:confused::mad::confused:
I visited McGee Preowned Super Store in Pembroke Ma last week to look at an 2004 Silverado they had it listed for $8640 so I called them to verify the price and if they still had it in stock they assured me they still have it and the price was only $8640 I got there and they did not have the truck. They said it was just hit in the parking lot. I said well that’s weird I just called 1 hr ago and you had. They said they were sorry etc.. for the inconvenience. So they said it would be back on 2/22 Monday so I said I will call you back then to see if was back. I called yesterday to see if was back in and they said it sure is and its only $8640. So I went back there and when I got there guess what? Truck was not there. So know I am getting upset and aggravated that these people are making a fool of my intelligence. I asked to speak to a manager. He came over and said sir would you like to make an offer on this truck. I am like what truck its not even here. He said no its not here but it will be back next week so I paid $8640 for it and I put $2200 into it for work so I need at least $10,700 for it. I said you are asking $8640 he said oh no sir that’s what I paid. I said that’s illegal I called them and they said $8640 he said they say that because they need to compete for your business to get you in there. Just for you Knowledge DO NOT SHOP AT MCGEE PREONED AUTO SUPER STORE. GIVE STEVE OR NICK A CALL AT 877-294-8642 AND TELL THEM WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THERE BUSINESS PRACTICES. Let me know if you hve ahd the same problem with them. I have already contacted the BBB Bureau, Attorney Generals Office and Sent this info to the local TV channels so hopefully someone will shut this place down.
very low management experience, no communication skills , no update in their web site ,if you look at the car on line and you like it you got surprise at the store with diferent price or probably they dont have it , just way how they attract their victims so be aware before making any decision their finance system briefly bad beseniss in bad economy i’am positive no body will buy from that store unless you have brain damage.
Their prices on autotrader.com and the “cost” listed on their web site are total lies. After looking at and test driving the car, they tried to tell us that the listed cost was actually the dealers cost and they were adding about 50% of the advertised price to cover their costs for servicing and selling. They even showed us a web site where this was spelled out, but when I checked later, the real web site said nothing! Don’t waste your time.
People dont get fooled by the dealers…. customer services were extremely unprofessional, sarcastic, and rude. The waiting time is forever. We drove down there for a car they said they have it before we statred off the our place, once we reached they didnot even bother to ask how may help you?? instead we waited waited waited… frustrated and asked one of those working guys and he said it had been sold out and was trying to be pushy in making us buy the older model than what we actually thought of buying. tarde in value was ridiculous without even looking at the car. Oh my God, it such a horrible experience, and would not recommend anyone to go there.:eek::eek::eek::eek:
