The mechanics are great. The buffed all the scratches off my mustang, put new tires on, detailed inside adn washed outside! Theyre fantastic:D
Thrifty car sales is a great dealership. I bought a mustang and im more than happy! Its my first car, so they put new tires on it like my parents asked and cleaned and detailed it and made it look better than ever! They also buffed all the scratches out. They didnt force us to buy it but gave my parents that extra push:) Greatt place!:)
Everyone was great there. I went in for a title loan, I dont have the best credit and they got me approved and cleared that day. This is a great chance for me to get back on track with my credit and pay everyone back.
Robert Lugo, Bo Rasoi and Dan Rasoi were all excellent customer service people, and really down to earth and cordial human beings. I would recommend anyone go there and see if they have a vehicle to fit your needs.
THEY ARE A BUNCH OF JOKES… BET YOU THE ONLY REASON YOU DID THIS REVIEW WAS WAIT LET ME GUESS………. THEY PAY FOR POSITIVE REVIEWS, LAST TIME I WENT ANYWHERE AND LEFT A GOOD REVIEW IT WASN’T BECAUSE THEY BRIBED ME(THEY BRIBE THEIR CUSTOMERS TO INFLATE THEM WITH SOLID REVIEWS)
HONESTLY DO YOU WANT TO READ A REVIEW THAT WAS PAID FOR???????????????
I would absolutely agree with Military. These people are scum bags. Look at the reviews and posts all over the internet with self titled “ThriftyCarSales” attacking people who write negative reviews. The positive reviews on this site are fairy tails. Look at the car you want to buy before you even do the paperwork, I bet it smells like rotting flesh in addition to several components missing from the car. Oh and if its one of the “nicer” vehicles on the lot I bet the staff has had their way with it before you buy it. If you are reading this please note: This is not you’re only option if you have poor credit, do not waste your time with these clowns. They simply prey on people with bad credit and your credit will only become worse because you’ll stop paying on the lemons they are selling because you can’t afford the repairs and the payments. Roadloans.com got me financed under 10% and my credit is in the mid 600’s. Thrifty is only a buy here pay here and a bad one at that, not an alternative purchasing idea. If you don’t have the money to purchase a car cash or can’t get financing before going out to a lot, “check in hand,” wait till you have enough cash or financing.
I had a nice and comfortable time at thrifty car sales .People were great.
I actually traveled to get my car from Thrifty Car Sales. They were very speedy with the process and had me back out on the road very quickly. They were upfront and honest. They told me there was a minor problem with the gas sensor and that he was waiting on the part and it needed to be replaced. He assured me wehn i got back to St. Louis he would fix it free of charge and just take it in to a local dealership. I did so and everything was paid as promised. I would recommned Thrifty Car Sales to anyone becuase of there intergrity and faithfulness to there customers.

A little add to my comment. Ever since I went to that store and my application didnt get processed I get E-Mails that I am approved and I need to contact thrifty. I get messages to my phone as well. I replied several times to opt me out because these guys are liars but I keep getting them. Sure I am approved if I come up with 5 times more of a downpayment than I have. But even if that would be the last car dealership in the world I would not buy anything there because of the way I have been disrespected. So since you guys from the thrifty dealership are all up on your reviews maybe you will get it this way: OPT ME OUT of your fake “approval” E-Mails and SMS
I had very good experience with Dan and Thrifty Car Sales. I purchased a vehicle from them most recently and would definitely go back again for another vehicle and to refer friends.
ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS I GOT WHAT I NEEDED AND IM HAPPY.:D
aok
Thrifty I must say I completed a credit application for a loan with you. I have yet to hear anything back from you, But I am a bit afraid to do business with you now, these reviews are horrible and i certainly don’t want to be treated disrespectful when i am spending my hard earned money– regardless of credit issues.
I know some customers are a pain in the butt, but your business depends on these reviews and as of now I am a bit skeptical to even make the trip to see you guys because I feel I will be cursed at or something and I am a customer that I not be mistreated, i am the customer that will snatch you head off before i allow disrespect. Please Please tell me you are not that bad and why is your bbb rating not a good one??? I am truly concerned, your website shows some awesome vehicles and I was soooooo happy to find you guys, but I am not sure now. Not saying i won’t buy but i am for sure very skeptical — right now.You also might start by responding to customers credit apps that you offer online. whether you can get them financing or not. good luck guys
We are great people we always do our best to make everyone happy but we will never make everyone happy.
There is not any company that has all positive reviews, Publix, best buy, target you name the company the majority of the reviews are bad.
There is always two sides to every story but ours does not matter because we are a dealership and unfortunately are stereotyped and judged before even given an opportunity.
On the flip side I or my staff will not be yelled at, cursed or treated with any disrespect. If we are mishandled the only thing we will ever do is politely ask you to leave and that we do not wish to do business with you but we do not curse or insult anyone no matter what choice of words they use.
We will see, I tell u what I will see for myself and you will not know it is me, I am and will be in the need of vehicle and I will see if what people are saying is true for myself. I am not judging the book by it’s cover YET, but i am still very skeptical because I know how I am if I am disrespected. As I stated You have an excellent selection of vehicle. Bond Auto Sales cannot touch your vehicles, but Your customer service will be tested to see if what you are posting to be accurate, I am sure you will do your best to be the fair, knowledgeable experts you are. SO I will be happy hunting see you soon, and I still say YOU GUYS NEED TO RESPONG YEA OR NAY ON YOUR CREDIT APPS NOT FUNNY BUSINESS LIKE COME IN AND SEE US, THE SS# CAN GIVE YOU MOST INFO YOU REQUIRE.

I contacted thrifty online. I filled out the application and received an E-Mail from Dan to come in so they can review my documents. Since I live in Tampa I didnt want to waste my time with driving out there because my situation is pretty ruff. So I gave Dan every detail of my situation and he said yes we have you pre-approved come on in and we will go from there. So I took the time and drove all the way to Clearwater after I got off. When I arrived they had me filling out the same paperwork again. I talked to that one “loan officer” (can’t remember his name but he is Greek) and once he received an answer he sat down with me. He was talking so loud and he raised his voice so much that you can consider is jelling. Everybody is that front area could hear my situation. He was not descret in any way. Thrifty knew from the beginning how everything looks and how much money I can put down. And they said I’m approved with these conditions and once I arrived they wanted 3 times more of a downpayment. So this loan officer was sitting there downing my and telling my how bad I am and my credit and stuff. And when I told him that I might be able to get with crown honda with a co-signer he totally went off on me trying to tell me that they are lying and what not. I know my situation pretty well but that does not mean that a dealership needs to sit there and down me and then in public too. I mean really everybody heard this man and knows my situation now thanks to Thrifty. I have never been in such an unprofessional and disrespecting dealership. They wasted my time and gas and embarrassed me in front of quiet a few people. Oh and by the way. They pay their customers $ 50 if the customer gives them 5 good reviews on certain websites. This website as well. So don’t believe all these good reviews. People do a lot for money 😉
Thanks for the hard work in getting me a car loan, and putting me in a car that I love.
Excellent Customer Service. The only dealership that had been able to help us with our situation. Thank you

BUYER BEWARE. This dealer practices unscrupulous and underhanded tactics when negotiating a sale. I would suggest you go in condition RED and have situational awareness in terms of the “numbers game/vehicle price” focused. Do YOUR research. The BBB (Beter Business Burea) is your friend in this case. Check their rating. It is their for a reason and reflects this companies overall disdain and contempt for it’s customers. Shop elsewhere to be treated fairly and if you value your hard earned money, go to a proprietor who will have the decency and intergrity to value your busniess. I know it used cars but even the late great George Carlin had this one pegged when he refered to the BS business tactics for a quick buck/sale. In a nutshell, I purchased a used car advertised online and drove from the Ft Myers area up to their location in Tampa.
Needless to say I had a trade in vehicle that was in decent shape. The price was negotiated before entering the building along with trade in value. I was offered a $1500 trade in value for my vehicle and the price of the purchased car was negotiated at $7000 from the listed price of $7590. Once inside the games started with a waiting game for the fictitious “general Manager” to call and agree. Then out came the lackey salesman who secretly renegotiated the price with the GM’s brother in his office. We got a price of $8200+ with trade in. I questioned him since the vehicle price we negotiated would clearly be $5500 after trade in/before taxes. Yet the unscrupulous lackey only pointed in glee to the numbers on the paper indicating the trade in value was already deducted.
After I confronted the GM about this deception, the lackey and him refered to working the numbers to come up with the “new” price so the seller would be happy. They reduced the selling price to $7200 and the trade in of $1250 was applied- You can clearly see they deducted the $250 from the original trade in and also added $200 to the purchase price. At this point we were also promised new tires and mats which we had to drive back
another day from Ft Myers to Tampa. When we arrived the service manager wasted more of our time and exclaimed he could not install the tires that day so we left with the two front tires with the promise that if we gave/mailed the receipt for installation, it would be reimbursed. Guess what? We had them installed at a local Tire Kingdom and mailed the receipt – never heard back from Thrifty concerning the refund for the tire installation. Final verdict, these guys have a negative D- rating with BBB for a good reason. Look at the list of complaints on BBB. They are valid considering their business practice and with such a battered economy, the lack of ethics and no shame is quiet apparent.
Do business ELSEWHERE!
Thank you for this review
I believe on of the most important facts you forgot to mention is you never told us the transmission on your car slips BAD!! My technician looked at it and informed us the transmission is shot and it was a blessing you even made it to Clearwater from Fort Myers. We than still gave you $1250 it was only $250 less than what we told you over the phone when thinking the vehicle drives great as you had stated! We also said and I quote “MA’AM IF YOU DO NOT THINK THAT IS FAIR BY ALL MEANS DO NOT DO IT, YOU SAID WILL I DROVE ALL THE WAY UP HERE AND THE TRANSMISSION IS BAD I DO NOT HAVE A CHOICE” You knew the whole time the Transmission was slipping bad, you kept trying to rush us hoping we would miss it. We are a small business who is family owned and operated and reviews to us REALLY REALLY matter for you to make it seem as if we mislead or deceived you in anyway is OUTRAGEOUS! For you to go on the BBB better business bureau’s website and complain and also hurt our score with them is even worse. We did everything we said we were going to do and more, the only thing we promised was to reimburse you the cost of the tire installation of $34.98 which as I said on the BBB complaint if for some reason you have not gotten that to please let me know and I will research it and if the check was not cashed I would cancel it and send you another one. We here at Thrifty Car Sales work extremely hard to please everyone but in this case your review is self-contradicting. If we were such a bad dealership why would you drive 250 miles to get here? My prices are thousands less than anyone else, and any other dealership after realizing the transmission was gone would have given you $100-$300 I think the fact that I still gave you $1250 was extremely generous.
I pray you will at least respond with some truth and retract some of your further statements. This is just wrong.
Our BBB rating is a C not a D.
For every one complaint I have 100 positive reviews.
Good Luck and God Bless
Dan Rasoi General Manager Thrifty Car Sales
I am very pleased with the service I received, everyone was friendly with a high communication level. They were able to get me into the car I wanted with a payment and down that worked for me.
🙂
Drove many miles to get there. Salesman went home for the evening and didn’t tell us. After second trip to dealership and hours of waiting was told the underwriters closed up for the evening – this happened both trips there!! Very unprofessional!!! Salesman told us to go outside and look at cars and he would join us in about 15 minutes…. instead he went home for the evening and didn’t say a word!!! Could not believe this!!!!! We went somewhere else and got a car within minutes!!!!
Thrifty is a great dealership. I tried to get financed threw another company, we were there for 4 hours, they did approve us but wanted 5 thousand dollars down. So then I called Thrifty up and made an appointment and walked away with a car !! All i did was trade in my vehicle and only had to put 500 down !! And the monthly payments are low. I am happy with my new car !! First Financed vehicle EVERY !! Thanks Thrifty ! 🙂
🙂 Was handed keys to car & took test drive on our own, no pressure. Financing was keep in the amount we needed. Big surprise not pressured to pay higher, first time ever.
Thanks Bo
REALLY BAD PEOPLE. HAD TROUBLE WITH THE CAR I PURCHASED FROM DAY ONE. WOULD NOT HELP IN ANY WAY. IT’S JUST A BUY HERE PAY HERE LOT WITH A BUNCH OF CROOKS RUNNING THE PLACE. RUN A POLICE CHECK ON RASOI IN THE PINELLAS COUNTY SHERIFF’S WEB SITE. YOU WILL SEEN WHAT I MEAN. I WAS THERE ONE TIME AND THE PUNK NAMED DAN CALL A WOMEN A C**T AND A WHORE. SHE STARTED CRYING. HORRIBLE PEOPLE. GLAD I FOUND THIS WEB SITE. DON’T BELIEVE THE OTHER REVIEWS. I’M SURE THRIFTY PEOPLE MADE THEM UP. THEY HAVE A TERRIBLE REPUTATION IN CLEARWATER. FOUND OUT TOO LATE FOR ME. STAY AWAY. REALLY BAD PEOPLE. THEY SHOULD BE IN PRISON. PROBABLY SOON. OR SOMEBODY IS GOING TO SHOOT THEM.
I spent 3 months researching and looking for the right car due to the amount of driving I do. I wanted something economical, reasonably priced, payments within my finances, low mileage, no damage and a warranty. I GOT ALL THAT AT THRIFTY. I found Thrifty to be highly competitive if not cheaper than most decent used car lot dealers. I think Thrifty takes pride in the cars they choose to sell. Kudos.
EXCELLANT COMMUNICATION!HONEST UP FRONT APPROACH TO SALES
WANTED TO DO EVEYTHING THEY COULD TO MAKE ME THE CUSTOMER FEEL A REAL GARTITUDE TO THIS DEALERSHIP BEING TREATED AS A REAL PERSON.:o
Bo found the car that fits my young lifestyle and one I thought I coulnd’t afford. He looked around my past credit issues and got me financed on a great newer car.
Great assistance during the Financing process, handled some issues related to the car with greta expediency!
bo was very help and polite in the tryin to help me buy a car
I have always treaded dealingwith an Auto Dealership–95% of my experience have been the pits:eek:! I have even walked out of 5 down to the line of signing:rolleyes: THRIFTY changed my way of thinking Trustworthy, Helpful, Reliable, Interigty, Fast, Truthful, Your Friend—THRIFTY. From the 1st meeting till drive home my experience was more than I expected from an Auto Dealership. Professionelism, good response, and truthfullness headed their sales force. Each visit, which were few (3) was a great enlightening experience. I would be honored to send my friends and families to THRIFTY–I even answered potential buyers questions while I visited the dealership. Bo, Josh and Dan were the greatest team I’ve seen in action and I have dealt with quite a few in my line of work. CAN DO is their way of thinking, as is the entire sales force. :D:D It was a remarkable experience purchasing my Ascender, even if it’s sporty and I’m a crabby ole Great GrandMa–So see one the the above for a truly enlighting auto buying experience
It was a pleasure to buy my car from thrifty. The staff was kind and knowledgeable and had my driving out that day, despite the fact that i had no credit. Theyve also been helping me out with any repairs i need for the vehicle, which is why i highly recommend this fine establishment!
🙂 I WOULD AND WILL RECOMEND THRIFTY CAR SALES TO EVERYONE I KNOW I AM SO SATTICFIED WITH MY CAR AND THE SALES MAN….. I WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!:):):):):):):):):):):)
These guys were great. Usually Car Salesmen are pushy and inconsiderate, At thrifty they are nice and considerate and very helpful. What ever your situation they will work with you to help you.
I HAVE HAD TWO VEHICLES FROM THRIFTY IN THE PAST TWO AND HALF YEARS. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WIT EITHER VEHICLE. THEY COME WITH A FULL WARRENTY,GREAT MONTHLY PAYMENTS AND THEY HAVE A FULL SERVICE DEPARTMENT AS NEEDED. WHEN NOBODY ELSE WOULD FINANCE ME THEY DID. I WILL ALWAYS GO TO THEM FOR MY VEHICLES.:)
YES I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE HERE AT THRIFTY FOR BEING SO NICE AND COURTEOUS TO ME. THEY REALLY HAVE A GOOD HEART TO HELP PEOPLE AND TO MAKE THEM HAPPY. ITS REALLY A NICE ATMOSPHERE TO BE AT AND I WANT TO THANK THEM VERY MUCH FOR ALLOWING ME TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I WOULD RECOMMEND PEOPLE TO COME HERE TO PURCHASE THERE VEHICLE ANY TIME.
I had the BEST experience at this dealership and would highly recommend them to all my friends and family. I purchased a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavour that I love. It was exactly what I was looking for in a vehicle and thought I could never afford. My salesman was the best we sat down and figured out what I could afford and what I was looking for. He then gave me several choices to choose from but he highly recommended the Endeavour and it was perfect! My payments are affordable and I have had no major issues with the vehicle just normal oil changes and tire rotations. If you are looking for a high quality low mileage used vehicle I HIGHLY recommend you contact Thrifty they will do right by you!! 😀
Hi. I am looking for a good car which have eligent looks and have a good caliber and speed. I want an affordable car.
car authorized centres
walked in seen the cars i liked and spoke to Bo and financed in an hour down payment was vey sweet walked away :).
The experience I had when Bo approached me was very relaxed. I mentioned I was interested in the 1998 Honda Accord. I had already looked at Car Max, Honda dealerships, and others and told Bo I was still looking. I had my list of vehicles to go look at and still had a couple more in the Clearwater area. He made me feel totally comforable and stress free to get the car I need. All in all, I recommend Bo and his team at Thrifty Car Sales to my friends and co-workers. If there are any problems with the car, expect these guys to make it right! If you want a personal reference, you may contact me. Thanks Bo , you guys were great.

Buying our truck through Platinum Auto Finance (Thrifty) was so much easier than I would have ever imagined! We have less than perfect credit, to say the least, and I was actually expecting them to turn us down, or offer us a really old car. Neither! We found a truck that we wanted, took it for a test drive, and loved it! They really worked with us and our bad credit. It has been a year now since we bought the truck and we have made all of our payments on time. Soon, I will go in to see if they will refinance…hopefully they will be able to fulfill that promise also. Overall, we are extremely satisfied with our truck and our experience with Thrifty/Platinum! :p
THANKS AGAIN FOR THE GREAT SERVICE!
A little over a year ago I was looked to buy a used car. I searched the web and found Platinum Auto, also known as Thrifty Car Sales. I knew what range I wanted the payments to be between and they made the payments even less for me. They call every few months to make sure everything is going okay. The icing on the cake was when I saw scratches on the car they repainted it for me. They have great customer service!
These guys are awesome, they not jus look at the credit report, but they see you as a person with potential. Mike and Dan will do their best to help you..
I’m extremely dissapointed in the service my family and I recieved at Thrifty. When we first stopped by to check out the car and find out what the price would be, Bo greeted us and got us all the information very quickly while still being professional and friendly. My father called back a few days later to see if the price could possibly be lowered at all because it seemed a little high. He spoke to Dan, who told him to “F off” and that “the car was priced to low so he was going to raise the price”, then proceeded to hang up on my father. We were planning to buy the car even if the price hadn’t been lowered, and his response was completely unnecessary. Because of the unprofessional attitude Dan showed my father, we will not be doing business with Thrifty ever again.
First of all when I spoke to your dad I told him the car was mispriced online. I told him it was priced 1,000 less than it should of been but I will honor the price he made me an offer I told him no and we both hung up. I never once told him to F off . How would you know what was said to your dad? This is such a BS story. Indeed I was short with him but I never cursed.
We can not please everyone and even after I told him the price was wrong he still continued to try to get it lower.
I wish you and your family the best good luck and god bless
I’m so pissed off at Thrifty Car Sales in Clearwater. I’m not too sure where to begin.
My boyfriend and I have horrible credit (in the mid 400’s due to economy and divorce), so we were always hesitate on finding a dealership to approve us. We found an absolute gorgeous car for an absolute great price online, almost too good to be true (and of course it was lol). Bo ended up helping us, he told us we could get financed no problems. He took down all of our information and told us to wait for about 30mins to hear back from multiple banks.
Well 30mins turned into a little over an hour, he gets back to us and tells us we are approved with a high interest rate (which we were expecting), BUT only a 3 year loan and we would have to have about 80% as a down payment AND we could not drive it off the lot until that amount was paid! It was $8000!! Not only that, but online the car was priced around $11,000 and they “claimed” that the internet value was good with $3000 down and their website shows that. (LYING!!) They tried selling it to us for $17,000. We walked out of the dealership and we’re extremely pissed and told him we could consider it.
Later on after coming home from Thrifty, I researched the car even more, they completely FAILED to let us know the car was involved in a front end collision and the car was DISABLED, it hit a tree and a light post. Not to mention, the car had scratches all over the place, and their website says nothing about having to have a $3000 down payment to take advantage of the online deal. Not to mention, as we were leaving we got the rudest look from Bo, completely unprofessional!
Bo and this company are scammers, they take advantage of people, like us, who are in a horrible credit situation and think they have no other option. Do not buy from this place and if you have any questions about the car you do buy here GET A CARFAX!! It is worth paying $44 to check into 5 cars or go to KBB, many post a free on there and NOT on their websites.
Hope I saved someone the trouble of buying a worthless car for a ridiculous amount of money –
I had a great experience at Clearwater Thrifty car sales. Our sales contact was Bo, and he was very polite and very understanding of our needs. My husband and I purchased a 2005 Doge Durango, and we are very pleased with this SUV. Even though we have struggled with our credit score, Bo was able to get us in a vehicle of our choice . The staff at Thrifty was very professional and curtious. When purchasing the Dodge, there was a cracked plastic piece that fits the lower portion of the drivers seat. They ordered the part right away and had me bring the vehicle back for repair. The serviced department also was very professional and caring. I recommend Thrify Car Sales.
Looks great
First off, my credit sucks! I filled out an online application and was emailed several times to come in. My thoughts were pretty conclusive that this was a marketing ploy to get me to come to the dealership so I could be told face to face NO. About a week later, I received a phone call to set an appointment and after a few minutes, I felt ok with the decision to go ahead and make the appointment, which I did. I met with Bo who sat down with me and asked me what my situation was. The funny thing was that he actually sat there and listened. When I was finished “making my case”, he looked me dead in the eye and said they could help. They did. Not only did they finance me, but I am in a Mustang Convertible with an affordable payment! Look, like I said my credit sucks. For those reviews complaining about the interest rate, take their advice. Make the payment on time, every time and within 18 to 24 months refinance. They even offered to help me with this.
Their staff is friendly and helpful. I think the negative posters are allowing the anger of their own situation to show. I am thankful for the loan (at 28% by the way). It’s still a loan and I am an extremely high credit risk. If I bite the bullet, make the payments and refinance, then they have made it all worth the while. Oh, and my car had a headlight short and their service department has not stopped with regards to making the repairs. While they tried once and couldn’t get it working, I am dropping it by after work today for them to try again. While I am there, they remember and call me by my name, treat me with respect and dignity and make me feel at home. If your credit sucks and you are WILLING to bite the bullet and make your payments on time. If you are willing and able to make the payments and you have the strong desire to rebuild your credit, then Thrifty in conjunction with Platinum Auto Finance is the place to go. Thanks to all of you for a wonderful and humbling experience.
This is by far the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Will make this simple and to the point. I purchased a car from these thieves in January of 09. Immediately had engine problems. Took it in for them to look at it found out it needed new motor mounts and a new transmission. To their credit they fixed it and returned it to me three and a half months later. They did give me 8 different loaner cars while my car was in their care. That is a whole other nightmare of a story. Got my car back in May. Day one car needed four new tires. Last week, while driving home from work my dashboard lit up with warning lights. Called Thrifty next day to see if they would take a look at it. They flat out refused and told me I would have to take it to the Volkswagon dealership. I did as they suggested and found it now needs a water pump, battery, alternator, thermostat, two fans (was told they knew they were shot when I bought the car), and a pulley. I cannot afford these repairs so I will return car. I made a huge mistake in trusting these fools. I have contacted news channel 8 and abc action news. I have contacted an attorney. You cannot use the “Lemon Law” on used cars but you can sue them for consumer fraud. Beware. My new purpose in life is to show people how horrible this clan is.
I had a great experience with Thrifty Car sales. I have been to over 10 other dealerships that told me over and over they could get me in to a car and not one of them could. So many other dealerships wasted so much of my time and let me leave with a car thinking everything was done and the car was mine only to have them call me a day or two later telling me there was a problem and could I come in to try to get it worked out. Payless let me leave in 3 different cars and every time made me bring them back.
Thrifty Car sales was the only dealership that was honest and up front with me about what I needed, how much money I would need down and actually got me in to a car I got to keep. I was there for several hours, but it was all worth it to leave with the car I wanted and with a payment I could afford. They were even nice enough to help me with my down payment and let me pay some of it in a few weeks so I was not completely broke till my next payday. They even let me take the car to a friend of mine to have it checked before I signed the papers, none of the others would let me do that. That says a lot for the cars the other guys sell. Never go to Payless, Tropical, Prestige, Drivetime or any of those others.
All I have to say is thank you Dan, I love my new car and I appreciate everything you did to help me out. I will send every one I know to you. 😀
These guys are the most arrogant and unprofessional people I ever met. They treated my wife and me like trash. I was asking for the price of the vehicles and they got all mad because they wanted me to tell them that I was buying the car or not. How in the hell I will tell them if I was buying a car, if they don’t give me the price??? After 20 minutes trying to get the price of the SUV, I got tired and I asked them to give me the “application” I filled for the car loan because it has my personal information on it, and since I was not able to make business with them, I needed my application back. They got all pissy, and he call some other jerk, and they asked me to leave or they were gonna call the police. What they don’t know is that I have everything on my blackberry :0), I left because my wife is pregnant, and she was very upset too. I never got loud or disrespected anybody there, but they did. I already made a review on a military website, where all the service members have access. If you want to be mistreated, ”THIS IS THE PLACE”!!!!!
BTW–All their cars stink like old taxi cabs… Not a lot of selection….
SIMPLE MATH! DON’t BUY CARS FROM THESE PEOPLE OR YOU WILL REGRET!!! They are the most unprofessional customer service people you will ever deal with.
People!! Let’s open a facebook group for these guys. We have to stop these people…
Maybe you should contact News Channel 8… undercover investigation… and expose the suckers….
These statments are so false it is not even funny. You came in asked about prices we priced about 10 vehicles out for you. We sat down to get the loan process started discovered you were past due on your current car loan and you explained to us you were not. We asked you for proof you said “I WILL GET THAT LATER”. You also said you did not want to trade the vehicle in. Two different team members tried to explain to you unfortunatly when you are past due on one car loan, you can not get a second. Immediatly after each time we explained this you started asking about prices on a different vehicle.
They also said we could not help you accomplish what you wanted which is to get a second car when you are past due on your first and thanked you for coming in.
You started asking for your paper work back which we explained I have to keep your application on file if Equifax audits us and ask if we have a signed credit application on file, since we pulled your credit. I WOULD HAVE TO GIVE THEM THE ORIGINAL!!
I also explained if you can not buy a vehicle with yout credit no one is going to steal your identity and start paying on new credit they acquire in your name.
Identity theft happens to people with Excellent Credit. Which was not you.
Good Luck and God Bless
You are a LIAR!!!! You should put the same effort you put lying, to start treating people with respect. My car loan has never been late, and you never told me that I was late on my payments. You just have to do a quick Google search typing THRIFTY CAR SALES REVIEW, and you will see how people talk about how unprofessional you guys are. I have proof of your lies… You also used with me, the same old trick you used with other customers. Saying that the credit person was traveling an hour just to meet with me, that guy works there.
I got me a nice 2007 SUV, in CARMAX. Great people, and great customer service. I went there two days after I had that incident with your trash dealership…
You are already in our “Places not to buy a car” all over the military network… I will keep letting people know how unprofessional are in Thrifty Car Sales, Clearwater…
