Over priced on vehicles. Low balled the trade in. Poor transparency as to the process (financing). Pushy.
Bunch of damn con artist hustling people down on their luck with credit. Ripping off honest people and low balling blue book prices . While dick head drives a BMW telling you he isnt making anything on the deal. You have to see this is a bomb waiting to blow sooner or later it will come around.
We bought our truck in early Aug 2012… Within 3 weeks the engine light went on! We have been dealing with this problem since.. We called Lenz and they told us we only had a 3 day warranty! They told us they would check out the problem but nothing was covered! I am so frustrated right now, we just put another $600 into this truck last week and the light is on again!!!! I have to think that this truck had to have had these problems before it was put on the sales floor! I will never go to LENZ AUTO again! I will also make sure that everyone I talk to knows what kind of dealer LENZ AUTO is! Very dishonest!
First of all if your going to post on your website let’s deal then by all means let’s deal they gave me an offer on my trade that was only worth about 2/3’s the blue book value then Brad got cocky about how they were the best deal in the state the only reason for that is they buy all the Duramax’s around then inflate the price because you can’t hardly find one anywhere else . The other issue I had was financing I was told that they had the cheapest financing around and they rarely accept check’s from other financial intitutions but I had to get financing from my local credit union because there finacial institutions thought the price was to high for the truck so I kept getting denied great thing I have an awesome credit rating so I could leverage my bank and still got a better rate then they could even come close to. Would not or will not buy another vehicle from them ever.
They had the attitude that we sell so many trucks that we don’t care if you buy from us or not. Also, failed to tell us that they didn’t have a Second key to the truck until after we had signed purchase paperwork. Just found out that it cost me $200 to have a second key made at a dealer. Don’t recommend this dealer at all unless all you are concerned about is price.
I bought a 2010 F250 Power stroke, Crew Cab. I was treated very well and the truck is perfect. I feel the price was fair, service excellent. The sale went smooth, I did not use the financing offered. Very pleased, Thank you.
Brad got the deal done,no problems, took a couple hours, thanks Brad!!
a quality dealership! a great negotiation on the overall purchase including my trade-in. definitely worth the drive from chicago. thanks again brad…
first off i read all these negative reviews and i cant help but wonder why these people all feel this way. i drove all the way from minnesota to get my truck which they had ready for me inside when i arrived. i test drove the truck i would later buy and a different one. both times brad himself went and got the trucks and got them ready for the test drive.nik was able to get me financed for the truck plus extras. overall i would recommend lenz truck center to anyone.
Very Friendly. Nik guided me through the process of an out of state purchase. He beat my credit unions best rate by 1/2 a percent. Last time I bought a vehicle I was in the dealership waiting for four hours. Today I was in and out in less than an hour.
Love this place
They all were professional and they made my buying experience enjoyable.
Thank you Lenz Family!
These guys are super easy to work with…We drove two hours to get there and they made sure we were taken care of(even stayed open late for us).Brad got us an unbelievable interest rate on an awesome vehicle. One of the best prices on the 08 enclave within at least 250 miles(I did my research). The customer service here made this our best car buying experience! I would recommend Lenz to anyone.
Wis. Rapids, WI
HUGE SELECTION FAIR PRICES. IF YOU CAN’T FIND HERE YOU CANT FIND
Highly recomended!!
Recently purchased our second vehicle from the Lenz crew. Very happy with my Dodge Ram that we purchased three years ago. Absolutely no issues and very positive transaction. Traveled four hours to provide Lenz with the repeat business that they have earned.
Ryan was terrific. Other dealerships gave me the runaround but not Ryan. Straight forward and to the point. Finance department had great rates and no pressure. I would recomend to anyone.
Thanks Guys!!!
I recomend Lenz Truck Center.
I called, my questions were answered quickly and directly.
I put a deposit down on the vehicle and was emailed a contract. Ithen spoke with Nik in the Finance Department. I told him I wanted to finance through my local bank he told me no problem but that he might be able to say me some money. I told him who I banked with and then the rate they quoted me, I gave him a credit application and he called me back in 20 minutes with an interest 2 percent lower. Thats a lot of money!!!!! When I go to the dealership I fell in love with a different vehicle even though I already purchased the other one they were happy to transfer my deposit to the one I really wanted. Nik and Ryan both told me they really wanted me to have the Truck I desired and they hoped to exceed my expectations. They called the bank got it reapproved for the extra money and away I went. I’ve read some of the negative reviews on this site and I have a hard time believing them. This place was busy, I mean while I was there I must have seen 15 people buy a vehicle and they were all smiling. The staff was running around (literaly running)to keep everyone happy. I had a question regarding the service done on the vehicle and they had a mechanic come and speak with me and show me what they did to the truck. These guys blew me away.
Totally recomend!
Have purchsed our last 3 vehicles from Lenz over the last 10 years. Working with Dave and Mark was very easy. There were no suprises when we arrived. The vehicles were pulled up for us and we had already had our financing in place with Dave before traveling to the dealership. Thank you for everything!!
!!!!!!!!!!TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!
This was by far the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. I found the vehicle online. I filled out a credit application and recieved a call withing the hour. I filled out a trade appraisal form and was given a firm trade offer in minutes (more than I hoped for). In short order I was given a payment quote from Nik who explained how the rest of the process would go. He told me after I came and drove the vehicle and was happy with it I would be in and out of his office within 30 minutes and he was dead on. We will never go anywhere else, these guys are amazing they must have 500 vehicles on the ground all priced right.
Has been an excellent experience as it always it. Nice people, straight forward. Amazing finance department. fast and efficient.
We will be back!!!
Thanks Nik!!!
Awesome Finance guy!!!!!! Nice facility. Huge Selection.
Good coffee. I would recomend.
Thanks LENZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I recommend Lenz Truck Center to all my friends and family. They have top quality vehicles, best quality trucks for the price. I would purchase a vehicle from here in the future. Also the service department answer all my questions about my vehicle concerns.
Treated with respect and everyone was kind and couteous.
Lenz Truck is great! I’ve bought many vehicles in the past and just recently got my new truck the other day. Have had no problems and never will I assure! If your looking for a great dealership, with no car troubles go to Lenz Truck… A.K.A Best Car Dealership Ever!
P.S.- Go Packers!!
Not “High” I meant that they were great found me what I was looking for!
I emailed about the vehicle and had my questions answered right away. The website is awesome tons of pictures and a carfax. When I talked to Nik in finance he asked me how long I wanted the loan for and how much money I was planning on putting down. He took my credit application and also asked me where I normally bank. after I told him he went to my banks website and check there rates. He told me although they were decent he thought he could get better terms. Fifteen minutes later I was called back with an interest rate 2 percent lower. I knew my payment to the penny before I walked into the dealership. I have read some of the other reviews on this site and I have a hard time believing them to be accurate, you could not ask for a more direct bunch of guys, they were as straight forward as can be. I will say they would not bubge on price though, but they told me that right away when I asked and made no apologies for it. They told me their price was good and that if I looked around on the Internet I would see that to be true (I already had looked and their price was awesome) I was in the dealership less than an hour and I went as smooth as silk. I did notice on their site their will help obtain financing for anyone perhaps some of those with lower credit scores are offered higher rates due to poor payment history than they would like and that is the reason for their being disgruntled. I witnessed nothing but straight forward businessmen who were happy and appreciative to earn my business.
I came and bought a truck from Lenz Truck today and had a great experience! I came in at about noon today (a Saturday) and there were customers everywhere. The dealership was very busy. However, all the sales people were busy according to the recepionist (very cute by the way), but she got one of the owners for me. I was very impressed to have the owner come out and help me. He not only helped me get on my test drive, but appraised my trade and did all of my financing. He did everything from start to finish…..he even was the guy who switched my plates! I am a customer for life….see you in a few years for another Jeep!

P.S. GO PACKERS!
My wife and I both have got trucks and SUVs from Lenz Auto. We have never had a problem with any of the sales people or Finance guys. If anything we have found they go the extra mile and we even able to get us a lower rate then our credit union. I also know a few people from work and one of my friends who have bought and they are all happy. I have bought two trucks from Brad Lenz (him and his brother own the dealership. I think that is correct, but I am not 100% sure) and one from Bill Paterson. I don’t remember the finance guy’s name, but he was fast and professional. No complaints here and we would go back again. I have also taken my vehicles to their service shop and they are very fair and good. Each time my truck is done on time and fixed the first time. 5 stars from us. I hope that helps anyone considering Lenz for their next vehicle.
wow i am thinking about purchasing from LENZ but after reading the reviews i may go elsewhere
They took my $500 dollar deposit and my signed contract after which I made reservations because we were coming from Michigan. 3 hours later they called to tell me they sold the truck to someone else. This was Saturday and it’s Monday now and I’m waiting for my $500 back along with $40 cancelation fee on one of the reservations. Last I knew a down payment and signed contract were legally binding… guess not at Lenz. My opinion, they are very unprofessional and not trustworthy. Makes me wonder if they have false information about the vehicle like some of the other reviews say.
Bought my car from them TOOK IT FOR A DRIVE FOUND SHAKE IN FRONT END So they call the mechanic, got it back and all they did was rotate the tires .just thought it might be balance. Also asked for the keypad code no luck there was told take it to a dealer and we will pay fot it 100.00 later and now have the code
So while I’m here could they check the shake yep bent rim with the WRONG SIZE TIRES Now another 525.00 latter good to go .HOW DO YOU HAVE THE WRONG SIZE TIRES HOW. cALLED AND GOT YA SO WHAT do you want me to do.Stay very far away………………
They virtually insulted me when I went in back in 2007. Had a 2003 Silverado 1500 Z71 with around 85,000 miles on it. No rust, no dents. Took great care of it. They offered me $4,000 for it. Yeah, $4,000 damn dollars. Yet the truck I was going to purchase was listed for $35,000. Then they told me they’d tack on an extra $1,000 for taking off the shell on the back of the truck, and nearly another grand in “misc fees”. After I left they called me twice a day for a week, until I happily told them I had purchased a new truck from Holiday. Holiday has a great sales team and I actually am going back within the next month or so to purchase a new truck.
Researched and found the car I really wanted on their website. I went in before work on afternoon. Ran into a salesman outside. He said he’ll be able to help me with the car I wanted but had to help another customer. I waited outside 20 min and saw him go inside once or twice. He never sent another salesman out to help me… probably wanted all the customers for himself. Ticked off, I left.
Came back the next day since they had the car I wanted. Test drove and made a deal. Put down a small payment and took info down to give to my bank. Then, the next day found out Lenz doesn’t do business with my bank for some reason. But they were happy to finance me if I wanted… umm, I already had a loan approval from my bank and was about to come down to Lenz to give them the check. Nope! They refused me the car. I asked my bank why and they said all of Lenz banks cannot beat my bank’s interest rate so that is why Lenz no longer wanted to sell. WTF? Lenz wanted me to use their financing so they could overcharge me on interest rates?! What a rip off. Now, I’m trying to get my down payment back and they haven’t paid me back yet. Guess it’s time to call the police.
Folks, if you’re from Wisconsin, and heard of Community First Credit Union, you know they are a good bank- your typical local bank. But Lenz can’t beat their rates so Lenz Truck refuses their business. How awful is that? Is their anybody here who bought a truck from Lenz and used their own bank? If so, what bank did you go through and what interest rate did you have?
And if you bought a truck using Lenz banks, what interest rate did they give you?
I think they are just plain stupid for not wanting to sell me the truck. Plus, they messed up the paperwork. Thank goodness because now I can go to a REAL dealership and get a BETTER truck.
Brad Lenz the owner tells so many lies that by the end of the transaction he has forgotten what exactly he told you. He then starts making up new lies and you have to say I thought you said this earlier. Then he says oh yeah I got confused and was thinking about something different. You ask does it have this option and this option and he says oh yeah I looked myself. Then you get there and it doesn’t have 15 of the 20 items you asked about and he says oh I must have gotten confused about what you meant. Then shows you the purchasing numbers and then when you go to sign he re-writes the deal and adds in $500 of fees on top of his other fees he already charged you and then changes your interest rate. I caught him and he blamed his computer for the fees. After I purchased the vehicle they took it back into the shop to give it one last prep before I took it home and while they did that they removed all the aftermarket parts except the mud flaps. I said where did all of these things go and he say oh well you didn’t tell us you wanted to keep them and you didn’t put them on the Purchase Agreement that you wanted to keep them. Local Police Department says they get calls every week about them stealing parts.
Everyone started out friendly; price was high and they didn’t want to deal. I left after the deal; forgot my license. They called back 2 days later and offered me a $1000 off but didn’t find my license. My thought was they were holding it hostage!! Finally, I complained loudly and they said they’d mail it. Customer No Service
NO complaints here. I gave Lenz a perfect score in every category except for financing (because I didn’t need any…I paid with a check). They are an excellent dealership with a great inventory. They have like 400 trucks and their website is very good. Their prices are excellent and I know of lots of people that have bought there and all had a good experience (that I know of). I would recommend them to anyone.

Found a nice truck via the internet. Little better than average pricing and like the options and additional features.
Asked if the vehicle was a non-smoking vehicle, yes… it’s clean I was assured.
Asked if there was any rust on the inside lower portion of the door or rocker panels, NO… very very clean.
Ended up putting a down payment on and than found out there’s almost a 400.00 documentation fee(s). When asked specifically about this I was initially lied to until I spoke with someone else.
I than was lied to about their interest rates, told one thing and than when the papers came it was something different. Ticked me off, but I went through my own bank anyways.
550 miles away and had a friend pick up the truck and get it half way home. Found out it stinks so badly from smoke that I’ll have the windows open a year most likely. Also had quite a bit of rust on the inside of the door and rocker panels.
Also did not have an aftermarket accessory that was clearly in the pictures when I got it home.
I’m sure they have some trucks, but I sure wouldn’t buy one on-line and certainly don’t trust their word on anything. I wrote a follow up letter to the vice president and his response was to get a hold of the sales man that I dealt with. Basically a big F*** YOU
I have never been to the dealership, but I did buy one from them and I would buy another one. I purchased my 2008 GMC K2500 Duramax diesel off their website (very good site by the way) and the truck was advertised. My salesmen was Brad and he overnighted my all the paperwork and arranged to have the truck shipped to my house. I have no complaints. I just found this site and thought I would write something good about a place I had done business with. I have never wrote a compliment about any other business except for Lenz. I am not easy to please, but I liked their no hassle approach and I love my truck. Not that it matters, but their prices are awesome…..I shopped for over 3 months before I bought my truck and no one could touch their prices. I hope this helps anyone who reads it.

I had several problems with LENZ. First after being told I could not get a trade in value of my truck until a contract was signed, the financing person tried to threaten me with legal action, saying I had to take there truck at a ridiculous rate, with no true value for my truck ( only 2/3rds of blue book value), because I signed the contract (talk about pressure SALES). The next big mistake I made was giving a CASH deposit. LENZ did not only keep the cash but after several phone calls (not returned), I sent E-Mails which after a week the only responce I got was ” hope to work with you on sale of new truck”(standard greeting). It has now been three weeks and no return of CASH deposit (or check), or answers to Phone calls, and E-Mails. Best advice from this experiance is go to a real Dealership, and don’t deal with the FLY BY NIGHT LENZ TRUCK.
P.S. They sold the truck I was trying to purchase before I could do anything regarding my own financing (talk about contract breaking). On May 10th this review will be all over Twitter, U-Tube, and the internet. Thanks for your Time and hope your new truck is a good running BEAST. BAWANA
On Tuesday, I called Lenz Truck Center and spoke with their salesman, Brad, about a truck I found on the internet. He stated it was still available and I informed him I couldn’t come in to see the truck until Saturday. I explained I had about a 3 hour drive to get there. He suggested I call late in the week to insure the truck was still there. On Friday, I called Lenz again and spoke with Mike. He stated the truck was still available and I informed him I would be there the next morning. Later that evening, Brad had called my home, leaving a message stating it was important I call him back ASAP. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his message until 11pm. So at 7am Saturday morning I called Brad, thinking he would tell me the truck was sold. Apparently I woke him, but he did say ASAP. Anyway, I thought he would say the truck was sold. To my surprise he just called to see if I was still looking for a truck. I asked if the one I had called about on Tuesday was still available. He stated yes and a couple more had arrived that he wanted to show me. I said great and I’d be there in a few hours. When I arrived I met Mike and he asked for the stock number of the truck. I gave it to him and he informed me that truck had been sold the night before. Why wouldn’t Brad have informed me of that when I called? I drove for three hours to find out the truck I was interested in got sold and they weren’t courteous enough to tell me that on the phone. Pretty sad. Needless to say, I didn’t waste my time there. I bought a truck from another dealer a few hours later and actually worked with a professional salesperson.:mad::mad:
I recently bought a truck at Lenz and with in 3 thousand miles of purchase I had to stick in almost 4 grand in repairs. Do not go to this place or buy from here. Worst desicion of my life!
I’ve bought a truck from Lenz several years ago…went back to buy another, obviously these ‘kids’ must have money from “daddy” – salesmanship is in the toilet, good luck – Lenz.
I bought a truck from Holiday; what a great experience dealing with professional, friendly, and competent folks.
Of course they will get anyone financing they have to to get rid of there junk. Take close looks at the vehicles because a truck with 70 000 should not have significant wear on the brake and gas pedals or the seat. check to make sure it is not new also. they may replace them items so you cant see the wear. My friend bopught a truck from there and i found out whose truck it was. the origanal owner said it had 140000 and they had it at 70000. This is not the first time i have heard about them rolling back odometers. I will give them this though. they are very friendly and will give anyone credit, but then again you have to to get the sucker to buy it.
I have purchased three vehicles from Lenz Truck Center and could not be happier! I found all my vehicles on their website. www.LENZAUTO.com. They have a ton of pictures and extremely accurate descriptions. I walked in not knowing anything about my credit or if I could even get a vehicle. Dave helped me get the financing I needed and took care of everything within about 30 minutes. Before I knew it I was done and driving my new Volvo down the road. I liked the Volvo so much I purchased my AWD Aerostar from Dave as well. I had Lenz put snow tires and a lift in it and now it is one of the baddest ass winter vehicles in town. I would recommend Lenz for all your vehicle needs (especially if you are looking for a truck). Lenz has so many trucks on their lot it would be hard to even pick one out from their wide variety of brands, miles and prices. Check them out on the web and don’t be surprised to be impressed.
Thanks Dave!
I had a great experience with Lenz Truck Center. I came to this website to complain about another dealership, but thought it would only be fair to write a review on the dealer I did buy a vehicle from. I found Lenz’s website to be very informative (lots of pictures and very good pricing). I emailed and quickly got the information I was seeking. I came on a Saturday and test drove my 06 Chev Suburban. I had to wait about 20 minutes (my only complaint) to finally talk to the salesmen because they were so busy, but once we got going I got straight talk and they appraised my trade quickly. I liked the fact that Tyler took care of me from start to finish. I was not constantly being pushed into other offices (like past dealers have done to me). Also, my salesmen didn’t have to run to get an answer every time. The entire place was friendly and I would go back again. They mainly have trucks, but I purchased an SUV. I would recommend Lenz to anyone. I would not recommend my hometown delaer (Ernie von Schledorn).

I bought my F250 Power Stroke from Lenz one year ago, the unit runs fine and I love the truck. 2010 unit, no haggle price, in and out in less then an hour. The truck was everything they said it was and more. This is my second truck from them and I will see them for my next one as well, next one will be a 2013 Power stroke king ranch. Thanks guys for the excellent work, keep it up.
