Brought my vehicle in for a recall notice and to check why the heat was blowing cold air when idling. They called me and told me my radiator was cracked and it needed to be replaced, costing me $900. I agreed because they said I needed to do it and that it would be complete in a few hours. They called back 3 hours later and said they didn’t have time to do it so I should leave the car there for 3 days. I said I would pick it up and bring it back. They wanted me to pay for the repair when I picked the car up….I didn’t. I stopped at another mechanic the same day because I thought the story they were giving me was shady. Within 3 minutes the mechanic checked my radiator, said it was fine and he just needed to add some coolant. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR TO NEW COUNTRY FOR SERVICE. THEY WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF!!! I am going to be purchasing a new car soon and was planning on purchasing from them. Definitely will not now.
We bought a 2008 Sienna AWD Limited via an eBay listing. It was described as being “pristine” and having “every option available in 2008”. We called the salesman to confirm everything and then we bid and won.
It took almost a month and several calls to New Country before the van was ready for delivery. Then, the salesman missed our first scheduled delivery when he got into work late after partying the night before.
When the van was finally delivered it was dirty inside and out, it smelled bad, it was missing items like headsets for the rear DVD and it didn’t have two options I was looking forward to having, namely HID headlights and the Dynamic Laser Cruise Control. When I tried to contact New Country to fix these issues, no one would talk to us. We tried first with our salesman then the sales manager and neither returned our messages. When all else failed, we wrote a letter to the owner asking for his help but we didn’t get a response from him either.
Everybody makes mistakes and we can forgive a lot if an honest effort is made to make up for those mistake. Ignoring us instead of dealing with the mistakes is very unprofessional, especially for a Toyota dealer, and has made this one of the worst buying experiences we’ve ever had.
For any one out there not looking for the typical “car buying experiance” I highly recommend New Country Toyota in Saratoga Springs and of course Kelly Gallo as your Sales rep. Kelly Gallo is not only a blast to work with, she brings knowledge, respect, and excitement to a whole new level. I have bought 2 vehicles from this dealership!! I have found it a a very warm an welcoming dealership, the staff extremly friendly and the management team willing to bend over backwards to make the “deal” and more importantly make me the customer happy!;)I have reffered my entire family, my co-workers, and my friends! Goals seem very simple to Kelly she wants to always do a great job for you because she always wants you to come back. Cheers to Saratoga Springs and there outstanding dealership.
