I found a vehicle at Don Davis that I was interested in. I made several calls, filled out loan papers on line and everything was looking good. I called to confirm vehicle was still available before making the 89 mile trip to their lot. Oh yeah, we still have it, come on down.
When I get to the lot 2 hours later and find the salesman he says, Oh, Im sorry, we sold that truck 5 minutes ago but let me show you a similar vehicle…. 4 days later and it is still on their web site. I guess this is the old bait and switch trick to get you to their lot.
Wasted 1/2 a day and a tank of diesel fuel to get there. What a crock of shit ! If this is what you have to do to sell cars then good luck ! I wont be back and I will post as many comments about it as I can. Thanks Don Davis !! You Suck !!
Don Davis’ employees worked with the amount my budget allowed and even helped me with the extras. I have bought two other vehicles from Don Davis, once in 1986 and again in 1991. They helped me where as two other Nissan dealers (in Lewisville and Irving) treated me terrible. Thai understood what I was wanting. He and the sales manager made it happen. Kudos to you all!
I recently purchased a new Quest from Don Davis. I went in telling them exactly what I could afford per month and total out of pocket that day. I had a trade in with negative equity and I didn’t know my exact payoff, but I knew it was close to 15,500. They said they could get a really close number to what I owe off the credit report so they put 15,450 and ran the numbers. They got me very close to what I could afford to pay so I took the deal and left with my new van. Well 9 days later I get a call saying I need to bring another $700 to pay off my trade in because the payoff was wrong… And it turns out the credit report said I owed 15,952 not 15,450 so they lowballed it intentionally to get the numbers I needed to see to make the sale, knowing full well I would be forced to bring the extra $700 to take care of the payoff. I would have easily walked away that night knowing the downpayment would actually be $3,000 instead of 2,000 like I told them. I know it’s my debt and it’s not that I don’t want to pay it… it’s that I can’t afford to pay it and they knew that. Very dishonest dealership!!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank George Murry for assisting me in the recent purchase of my 2011 Nissan Maxima. George was informative, patient and attentive to my needs in this purchase. He demonstrated a passion for the business and belief in the product he sells. Even though there were other customers, he made me feel as if I was the only one. He did not rush through the process or place any pressure on me to buy.
Thank you Don Davis Nissan for employing a great salesman as George.
My husband and I bought a truck and we traded in a car we had well they took the car but did not give us any money for it (they said they would) we are having to report them and might have to get a lawyer this really sucks!:(
We asked for the lowest price on a particular Nissan Maxima (2009). On our second visit, Marvin and the “sales manager” gave me a price of 29,900 or some such. We said “no thanks” and left. The next day Marvin called and said the price was now 27,000. I asked why he didn’t tell me that when I was there. He said “we did not think you were serious” and I asked what he thought when we got up to leave. He said “we didn’t think you were really leaving”. REDICULOUS! We caught Marvin in at least three lies and the sales manager in at least two. We thought the last price of 27,000 was probably fair but decided not to do business with liars.
