Leased 2 vehicles from Harrelson Toyota Rock Hill in 2005 and salesman said that after the leases mature, we could continue making payments until paid off in another 2 years. (Got the same pitch from Hendrick Honda on a lease there, and it was accurate, so we figured the same applied at Harrelson Toyota as this Harrelson salesman said.)
We finally agreed to a negotiated monthly rate, however when statement arrived – it had a higher monthly charge than agreed.
Plus now that the lease is up in 2010, the bank says we must turn in both vehicles, pay $12,000 in excess milage, or take out a 4 year loan with them because this is how Harrelson Toyota set it up.
Lying skunks! Go somewhere else.
Purchase from this dealership ONLY if you make sure that everything said VERBALLY is on paper when you sign! A salesman is only good as his WORD! 1. Told salesman I wanted $1,500 for my car. When I went to sign, they had gave me $1,000. 2. Told the salesman my car needed a front end alignment at the sale. He told me it had been serviced, and everything passed.
Bought the car in March of this year, and had not been serviced since Nov. of last yr. Took the car in two wks. after purchase to be serviced, at no charge. They appologized. Took the car back the next wk. due to the problem with it vibrating on open road. The service dept. said I needed new tires. The tires where bad! How about that? I told the salesman something was wrong with the way it drove, and needed an alignment or something. But, like I said. He assured me, it had been serviced and passed!
Wrong!!!!!!! Do you think Harrelson would put a new set of tires on the car. NO!
I was promised during the sale that I would have. Lifetime engine……..2 yr. free maintenance…Lifetime tires………..I also was given a paper stating all the above, with all the information of my car. Now, they say this same paper is only good for Lifetime engine…..2yrs. free maintenance…But, not the Lifetime tires!
Why? Because at the closing. I didn’t purchase the warranty they wanted me to purchase. But, instead purchased a different warranty. A more affordable warranty. Was I told at the signing, that the piece of paper I was given that stated. Lifetime engine warranty…2yrs. free maintenance…Free lifetime tires…Was null and void for the tires, due to turning down the warranty they offered. NO I was not!
I questioned the service about this car. I was lied to. I asked that the car’s alignment be serviced. Again, I was lied to.
A 2007 Toyota Camry! Would I have purchased this car knowing that the tires where bad? Without the dealership making them good? NO NO NO
Like I said. A man, saleman, owner is as good as his word…….
If, I had walked in that dealership. Bought the car without voicing concerns about the car. Then, and only then. Would I say. I wasn’t due any service for that car.
I am VERY disappointed about this dealdership. I really thought that I was dealing with a straight forward group. But, I have found out. I was wrong!
I WAS PROMISED THAT THE CAR HAD BEEN SERVICED AND PASSED. I was lied to!
