I previously had a very high opinion of this service department. They had given me excellent advice on several occaisions in the past (prior to move from Worcester).
List of greivances:
-Told me one hour, I waited over three
-Charged twice what I was quoted
-Gave me no more information than I already had from the FREE Autozone diagnosis.
Diamond Chevrolet service department outright lies about what they will do an what the charges are. My 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt went in for a covered service pertaining to an ECM error present, requiring reprogramming of the ECM in the car that should have been fix for free arrording to a Special Service Bulletin on the 06 Cobalt. Not only did Diamond not do the ECM reprogramming, they charged me $32.99 for less than 5 minutes of work (looking at the car and saying they wouldn’t do the reprogramming per the Chevrolet Special Service Bulletin.) Since the service department had my keys I was stuck paying for nothing to get my key back so I can attempt to get a Dealer that is honest to work on my car.
I went in randomly to Diamond Cheverolet and I’m glad I did. It was by far the best car buying experience ever! I was looking for a 2010 Chevy Equinox and they had plenty of them to choose from. Brian Decot was the first salesperson who spoke to us and he was very courteous and knowledgeable. I would absolutely buy from him again.
I purchased an ’06 chevy express on Feb 8th. They concealed the fact that this vehicle was in a wreck. It was delivered to me dirty, out of fuel, and much of the repair work was not completed. They would’nt even give me a STICKER. I had to take it to my place to get a sticker. I live 40 miles away. When I brought it back for repairs, 2 of the 3 repairs were done professionally, but it took 9 hours while I waited. One of the service people came in to see me with frequent updates. YES, there was a $489.00 document prep fee which they tried to conceal.
I never expected this to happen to me from a GM dealer, but boy, was I wrong. After looking for this particular vehicle for about 6 months ( duramax, 3500, extended, within 40 miles ), I was prepared to make some concessions.
If you are in the market for a new or used vehicle, PLEASE go somewhere else!

Worst car dealership experience ever! The sales men (Bill Fernald and Brian Decot) lie, and when you catch them in one of there lies, then they swear at you! They tried to sell me a new truck that was in an accident. When I found out about it they offered to delete there outargues documentary fee of $489. At time of delivery owner/ manager Kevin told me I had no choose but to pay there documentary fee and if not, he sell the repainted truck as new to someone else. When I told him that was wrong he stated they do it all the time and to “F” off. I told him I’d call corporate in Detroit and he said they can “F” off too! “We are an independent dealership and we do what we want”. Needless to say I bought else were. If your looking for a new Chevy go to Dillon Chevrolet in Greenfield, MA they sell at invoice no haggling and there doc fee is only $100. Best buy experience ever!!! As for Diamond Auto STAY AWAY!!! My business normally buys a new vehicle every few years and I never been to such a shady dealership as Diamond. They are lying crooks.
i would like to defend the accusations as stated,i was a manager a diamond for many years.this gentleman brought down a low bed to pick up his truck,we were not ready for delivery, and his certified check was short.he still wanted delivery we were below invoice minus all rebates.the original manager that made the deal was not on site, there was nothing i could do. i did not lie,i did not lose my temper,i was more than polite,he the (CUSTOMER) CAME IN THE SHOW ROOM,and started yellin and screaming and swaring.iam sorry that all of this happened .but he is totally at fault and i wish him well.
Bought a brand new 2002 Cavalier with 13 miles on it. Within the first year alone here’s a list of what went wrong:
1. Starter motor died.
2. Trunk lock broke, had to tie it shut from inside.
3. Main computer went bad.
4. Electric window switch broke.
5. Electric sunroof switch broke
6. Trunk lock broke again.
7. Electric window switch broke again
8. Transmission went(2nd gear ceased to exist) at 10K miles
9. Clutch failed
10. Clutch failed again.
Diamond Chevrolet technicians couldn’t explain the work to someone who understands cars and tried treating me like an infant. Also the worst part in my opinion was when the technician didn’t even know the difference between clutch fluid and brake fluid. After many failed attempts at fixing my car properly and refusing to buy it back, I took it to Durand Chevrolet, 30 miles out of my way but luckily they had no problem fixing what was broken in a matter of days.
I need help with a car dealership. The place is called Diamond Chevrolet in Worcester. I bought a 1999 chevrolet express van with 72000 miles. It has been in the shop 7 times for the same problem and they keep telling us its fixed, well I picked it up today and its doing the same thing. The dealership gave a 90 day warranty and I purchased the extended warranty for 1880 dollars but the dealership wont accept its a Lemon and trade me out of the vehicle, or just take the van back and pay off the loan. The owner of the dealership wont even call me back. This has been going since the middle of June and I have no where else to turn. I am on a fixed income, a Foster Mom and I have 5 kids, I cant afford anything else.PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thank you
