They are too busy for anyone trying to sell three cars at the same time. The responses to the other reviews are defensive and childish. No one cares about your fake bbb rating. Answer how you are going to help the person or the next person. This dealership is run poorly and the owner is there nearly daily. I’m surprised that ford or Lincoln continues business with this particular dealership. Unless you have a fetish for humiliation do not go here
you are an idiot. u must have worked here before to know about the owner. bad credit is because u don’t pay your bills. start there and u might no be so mad at the world.did you go to school in the US, because your use of the English language is very poor. lol!!!
I first contacted Tema from his Craigslist ad. It claimed to be able to finance anyone and since I have a prior bankruptcy, I was curious to see if he could finance my husband and me for a second vehicle. He sounded great over the phone and told us he could help. He told me to check out the cars that were online and I should look at the Mercury Milan.
I looked at the web site under used cars and the Milans were priced at $14,998. I figured this was something I could afford with a down payment of $2000. When we got to the dealership, Tema was “busy” with other customers so we were pawned off on Derrick.
Derrick was very knowledgeable and nice. I have no complaints about him at all. He knows what he is talking about and is very informative about the cars.
We waited 3 hours for Tema to finish with his other customers. We had an appointment but apparently this means nothing. We were told “10 minutes” only “5 minutes more” “I promise I’m almost finished with the people in my office.” This was a complete lie. It’s not easy to keep an 11 month old baby entertained for that long and they never even apologized for keeping us waiting. Supposedly the finance manager sent our information to the bank wrong and that’s why it took so long. I don’t think so!!
After we finally got into Tema’s office, after threatening to leave, he began to explain the pricing and our payment. He said the car was $19,500!! And our payment was going to be $500. I was looking for $200-300 a month. When I asked why there was such a big different in the web site price and the price he had, he said I was the problem. Supposedly, the bank charges them a fee for financing us. Bull!! I’ll explain more on that later on. When I was visibly unhappy with this, Tema told me that I couldn’t go anywhere else and he is the only one who can get us financed. Then began to argue with me about everything I said! He was even yelling at me! Totally uncalled for and unprofessional. Luckily, I was not born yesterday and know when someone is trying to screw me over. We left!!
If you are in a similar situation as me, you can get financed fairly. Willow Lake Motors will finance you, get you in a really nice car, and treat you very well! Jerry Curl is amazing to work with and actually wants to see his customers happy. Tema is a slime bag who only cares about the sale. He is in the business of screwing people and becomes a huge deuche when you see through his act. Do not buy from him!!!
Tema was my sales person and was great. I really don’y get this person i mean wow they filed Bankruptcy…. what kind of financial planner is this person.. Tema was very respectful of me, my time and my 4 kids that tore up his office.. My credit was not the best but me and my 4 kids are riding in saftey and A/c Thanks to Tema. This custoer above seems to have life issues other than Tema…. I am a real customer BTW…. THANK YOU TEMA!!!! I WILL BE SENDING PLENTY OF CUSTOMERS…..
I purchased a vehicle from Tema about 3 months ago and was shocked to read this review. I go to Bloomington Lincoln all the time to get my car washed and Tema washes it for me every time. He not only help me in my very bad situation but also is a pleasure to see and deal with every time I go there. I have sent him 2 referrals and he had made both of them very happy. The only name I would every call Tema is Awesome!!!!

There are so many poor reviews that I felt I needed to state my experience. Renaldo did a great job for me. Yes there was pressure to make a sale- but we’ve all dealt with dealerships before this is nothing new and is to be expected. That’s nothing new. Stand your ground. I asked if I could test drive the vehicle overnight and take it to my auto mechanic for a once-over. They were very accomodating. No I didn’t get a full tank of gas- but geez- I’m not looking for hand outs either. The only disappointment was there weren’t two keys- and I was told to get one I would have to pay $350. Well it wasn’t a necessity at that point. I bought a 2008 Lincoln MKX and absolutely love the vehicle! I’ve had zero issues with the car.
VERY high pressure, made me feel really uncomfortable. They weren’t taking no for an answer and when I said I had to sleep on it they got mad. They told me of KNOWN mechanical issues but wouldn’t fix them for me or lower the price. The finance guy was the WORST and a total jerk. He basically just stared at me until I left his office and wouldn’t say a word to me after I ‘had to think it over’. Don’t go there, they are all sleezy.

I was promised that everything was set in motion for a purchase of a specific vehicle. My experience at the dealership in my opinion, was high pressure and bait and switch.

First of all I want to start off saying I read everyones reviews and here is my overall response to everyone. Car dealers and Car Sales Associates are “like politicians, find the crook you like the most”. I come from a sales background and I fell that most of the bitching and complaining going on here is just a result of not doing your homework.
Let me start with my feels about Bloomington Lincoln Mercury.
I was treated very well. No they didn’t give a a second key that would have costed them 150.00 bucks. Did I make a review because in your words they scammed me out of a key? Absolutely not head over to Walser and ask for a second key for a new 10k+ car you just bought, They will say “Sorry you get what came with the car when we bought it”. So because Walser has a nicer building its ok for them to say they won’t give your a second key?.
Next tangent.
Ask yourself this: What brought me(YOU) to bloomington Lincoln Mercury? Oh yeah thats right the car that you wanted in your price range!! So you mean they didn’t find you after cold calling the whole state looking to sell you a car! I didn’t think so. So ask yourself do you get what you pay for? Sure you do. How many of you bitching about the car problems actually asked if you could have the car inspected at a privately owned shop? Oh none of you… Wait I did:) they said yes:). Now back to price how many of you went there because you didn’t want to go to car hop? You know “Car Hop Car Hop, Cars and Credit to go, Cars and Credit to go???? Really quite a few of you… I figured so:) Now do you suppose Car hop would have gotten your Can’t Pay bills @$$ a loan through a REAL Bank and let you pick a car that would at least last you the duration of the loan????!!! I want to know!!!! Wait I already no;) The answer is no way. I had made several service estimates for customers at my shop from cars they purchased from the “The Hop of death” that were over 2 thousand bucks in legitimate work that needed to be done with in a week of purchase.
So now that I am done tell you how my experience there went keep these things in mind.
People sell everything for a reason. Maybe they are upgrading or maybe their old car is a hunk of junk and should be scrapped out. There is no machine that a Dealer can hook your car up to and say yup this will need an engine in 5 day or this transmission is so solid it will last 6 years.
Now maybe a mechanic with lots of experience and the right equipment can tell you if something is not exactly right but then again one mechanics opinion is always and I mean aways going to differ from another.
I too have heard lots of things about lots of different place now does that mean some of them are true sure. Does that mean they are all true? No.
Remember before you go pointing the finger see how many fingers your can point so you don’t have 3 pointing back at you.
My advise if you want someone to pucker up an kiss your @$$ go to a ONE priced dealer so you don’t feel you got hosed…because at least at a one priced dealer everyone gets hosed equally…;)
No I am not an employee at this dealership or any at this time. 🙂
I went in to buy a car and ended up scammed by the salesman. He was by the State of MN charged with Theft by Swindle. My concern is more of what happened to my loan application, USAA bank statements and TCF bank statements. The dealership could not find them. They later were found in the private home of the salesman. When I asked the dealership about him they said they knew that the salesman had a prior record of swindle and theft, they knowingly hired him. I asked then what safe guards did they have in place for client safety as well as for his success? They said they had none, they just let him go and do his thing. When I asked if he was working there they said no. When I asked why, they stated that I would need a court order to find that out. This salesman took my car, destroyed it and I am still paying to this day for they allowed him to do to me through their dealership. If you don’t care who has your social security number, bank numbers, etc. or if you don’t care that it can just disappear from the dealership, by all means go in with your private information, risking what and who you have working with your financial information. Not only was there not any accountability with the salesman, there wasn’t with the dealership either. The ramifications have resounded to this day financially, emotionally to where it has basically destroyed my life. The dealership didn’t even admit that they didn’t have my records. They said we can’t find them, it happens all the time around here. Again I ask do you really want to allow them to handle your finances into the thousands of dollars? Can you trust anything that might come from them?If they didn’t have the foresight to manage this properly, what will they do with you? This salesman used the dealership as his stage to set up cons, to stage outside cars to sell for himself using the dealership, their clients, their computers, their status to rape the vulnerable. After this much damage and damage that is still going on years later, would you really want to take that risk of buying a car or truck from them? I’d want to know how they could guarantee your safety, your money, your records? If this were Health Care, the Dealership would be held responsible.

The only reason you have that rating is because you made good faith effort to resolve. Where is my good faith effort and you’ve had plenty of time. We will see if you will try to do that with me. You allowed my loan application, my USAA bank statement and TCF bank statement to end up being found in one of your salesman’s home. What guarantee can you make your customers that their information is safe? You knew of his criminal background of theft and swindle, yet Noah said you did nothing to hold him accountable or to keep your customers safe. Then when you find out what has happened to me, you ignore me. WCCO news wanted to interview you, you refused. This was not the first time negligence has come across your door. Karma doesn’t go away.
Honestly the experience started out pleasantly. Jim was reasonable approachable and even helpful. I came in the next
day to pay cash for the 2000 Lincoln ls. Which took 2 hours of waiting in there lobby. I don’t know why it would take that long to pay cash. Not long after I notice some undisclosed problems (overheating tranny slippage rear window dropping down).3 weeks later someone named Pete calls me to say they hadn’t charged me enough tax whoever heard of such a thing? I say fine if the sale isn’t final give me my money back. I eventually had to call the general manager who said they would pay the tax and dismissively told me “people make mistakes” shady. If your on the fence don’t go here.

Saw a car in several places with a obviously low price tag. It was 2-3k lower than it should have been. Still I was intrigued so I went in.
Obviously when I got there the car was nowhere to be found, but I was told it was in transit. I looked around and there were absolutely no cars of that make or model in the lot (Ford Taurus).
I checked Car Soup again and there were listed several of them on the lot for low prices. Pretty obvious that it was all just a scam. Oh well.
These guys are just shady dealers that want to get you to buy for any reason whatsoever. Avoid them.
The Sales people don’t controll the sales ads that are on Bloomington Lincoln’s ads.So don’t blame them.I happen to no that Victor is a great person and sales man.He helped me with my bk,and foreclosure to get in a vehicle. How do some people just get off bad mouthing people that easy.If you seat with him you would purchase a vehicle because he will look out for you.

I bought the car on january 4th. there was a weird blue light attached by wires left of the drivers side. I said I wanted that taken out and to know what it was. Said it was “ambient light” they put it under the dash instead of taking it out. Gave me the 13,000 mile kia spectra car on E. Wasn’t sure I’d make it to the gas station. After fueling, blocks from the dealer, the car wouldn’t start. Louie showed up saying he was wrong, the light was a kill switch and had to come out. After he disconnected it, the car started, to head back to have it taken out, but the windows no longer workd and the horn didn’t work. was there 5 hours when they said it was ready, and the horn and windows still didn’t work. I gave them the keys as I walked by, said i’m taking my loaner car, call me when it’s drivable.
They kept calling telling me to come get it, I’d drive out there and it wasn’t done. Then they called me and said the battery was dead they were putting a new one it. (A generic one good for 1 year). And it was finally ready. THIRTY DAYS AFTER I BOUGHT IT:confused: I asked the gm for a note saying if I find anything major wrong, after all that, that i can return it. He said NOBODY RETURNS CARS TO US< EVER. :devil( You can just exchange for another on our lot. But he said he'd fix whatever came up in that week. I had to have a loaner car at kia, where Lincoln did pay for $450 worth of work kia found due to an accident that the car had, that Licoln told me had never happened. they told me it was accident free, all the damage was underneath the car. And it was bad damage. There was still 2 weeks after I took custody of the car, a bumping sound on the right side that I complained about to them from day one, and it took Kia 2 days to find it. and $197 in manual labor. When they put the new bumper on after the -non-accident, they left a clip bouncing in the bumper instead of attaching it. The manager told me he couldn't find out till the next morning, I'd have to convince kia to let me keep the rental car over night, to get a yes or no as to whether they'd cover it. Then he went home. I showed up at 8am to find out the decision after begging kia to let me keep the loaner overnight even though my car was fixed. And it turned out the manager knew the answer (no) the night before, but was afraid to call me to tell me. So I put kia out, I was put out, and it all had to drag on another day because of the VERY POOR STAFF at Bloomington Lincoln Mercury. I would advise everyone to NEVER BUY A CAR THERE.
sad they did $over $900.00 in goodwill to take care of the customer and I get this for all the work I did? thanks, customer buys an add car 2010 kia spectra for 8k and she doesn’t want to pay $100 buks for a minor repair. OMG fly a kite or buy a bike if you don’t have any bread lady

If you desire good customer service, DON’T GO HERE!
The sales and finance dept. all had “answers (insert excuses or lies) for every question we asked.
They were rude and clearly were rushing the process in order to make the sale.
I drove one block away and my spouse noticed a headlight was out, and a service button came on, on the dash. I contacted them only to hear that there is nothing they can do or some flimsy excuse to try and reason the problem away.
They are ONLY INTERESTED IN THE SALE!!
Will NOT go back.
Typical salesman. Our first impression was a very old building with much need to be updated. We had a car in mind, but the price was still a little high. So we hunted down a salesman who seemed too nice, too fake. Test drove the car in the evening, and put an offer in. The dealer wouldn’t budge on the price because of Kelley Blue Book pricing… but with body damage and comparison of prices at other dealerships, this car was definitely overpriced.
We had an identical vehicle picked out at another dealer for a way better price. But Kevin called us encouraging us to come in again, he said they could talk numbers and negotiate a price. We drove 40 minutes for the second time in sleeting snow planning to buy the car if they moved the price for us as he said and once we got there, Kevin didn’t really have a plan. He showed us other significantly beat up cars, even though we have expressed our interest in the original car. So we tried to talk the numbers with him again and once again, they were not willing to work with us.
Toyota Carlson in Coon Rapids was much more comfortable to work with. Real people, coffee shop setting inside the dealership instead of the cold hostile cubicle at Bloomington Lincoln Mercury. And the best part about Toyota Carlson was their service. They worked with us to make us happy as a car dealership should… if they want to sell cars that is.
and i’m sure with the coozy store with the java knocked your hat in the creek! rumor has it the saleman is still in the bahamas with the large takehome pay.
Guy did an excellent job identifying the vehicle, our needs and listened??!! 🙂 we had fun during the purchase and laughed a ton.
The whole process our Mountineer was efficent and done proffesionally throughout.
We did our research and were tenitive based on some negative reviews we read, sooooooooo pleased we found the complete opposite from Guy, Pete the finance person and the salesmanager who completed the sale Frank!!
Thank You Bloomington Lincoln 😉

I found a car online and was impressed with the service I received on the phone. I talked to Brian M. and he said he would have the car ready for me. He didn’t know that the car had been sent off to auction. To show me the car, we had to drive to the auction center to look at the car. I decided to take it, only because I felt that if I didn’t it wouldn’t be there the next day. He was not able to come down much in price for me, even though it was being sent to auction. I left a deposit to hold to come back the following week and after thinking over night, I decided that was not the car I wanted. I called Brian and left a message because he was not in at the time. He called me back and gave me attitude my 8th grade students wouldn’t dare give me. I understand that losing commission is frustrating but I had the right to change my mind and his frustration should not get in the way of his professionalism and customer service. It was a fairly good experience and Brian was helpful until I changed my mind. I got the feeling that they really only cared about their commission though. I wouldn’t tell anyone not to go to this dealership, but I would say keep your wits about you and be sure you want to buy. But there are other dealerships around with a much friendlier and personable staff.
maybe you should tell “the whole story” like the employee said the vehicle was at Manhiem auto auction and was going to be sold the next day. YOU wanted this car, so the salesman took his day and drove you down there for you to see it and decide if it’s a vehicle you wanted to buy. You said I want it, the salesman then has it delivered back to the store after You made a comitment to Buy.
So I could see why he may be a bit chapped You backed out after he spent 2 days doing his best for You  and he gets this for a reward You posting a negetive post on the internet? wow I’m surprised someone in any sales business would be confused when a customer backs out of a comitment…….
I don’t think there is any right for the salesperson to act like a jerk.
He made the choice to allow everything that happened. If the customer decides to back out that’s their decision.
You don’t get to do that.
WOW what a bunch of snakes, do not go here I test drove a Mercury Milan I loved it, did not like the price and miles. I was told instead of dropping the price ($15,900) he would add on a two year extended warranty. After an hour of eign pressured we walked out. Today I was searching Cars.com and found the car I test drove for $11,980. I guess it’s my own fault for being young and having a sucker tattoo on my forehead. Don’t go here unless you are expereicned honestly they do have nice vehicles.
This is the worst dealership ever. Pressure to buy one particular car, lied to when asked to see others (“they’re already sold”), the company screwed up on the financing, rude salesperson who made me wait and wait and wait, only given one key to the car so I had to pay for a second key. They are just snakes there, out for your every last cent. No respect for normal people who don’t make a million bucks. The worst car-buying experience ever. Yeah, I should have just walked away. Trust your gut, people!
weak idiot. i see why you are not married.
pay your bills and dont blame the salesman for being incompentent 😮
what kind of fool buys what they dont want. did the sales man put a gun to your head. u are a problem child and a cry baby. 🙁
I took my car in for starting problem they called and said they had the car fixed but i needed a new battery so i brought them a battery old one was under warr so i brought them a new one then they called and said it still had a problem for another seven hundred fifty they could fix that so instead of a $250 00 dollar fix and a battery now the bill is $974 00 and three differnt things i thought that was what diagnostis tests were for so we arnt paying a MECHANIC to play gessing games on our cars had work done there before but i wont be back Jay Small :confused:
Today (August 20 2010) they have this vehicle on several internet web sites:
2007 Lincoln Navigator Ultimate – $33,980
First it is an Elite not Ultimate. Then went you call about this Nav they will tell you that this one is sold but they have several others just like it. The problems are: 1) This SUV has been on web sites and “sold” for a couple of months 2) the other SUVs they have “just like it” are 4-6K more. Just another sleazy dealer trick to get your name, number and email address then they carpet bomb you. I would not buy anything from this dealer. As the other reviews show, they are not honest and will screw you any time they can.
Walking through the lot it is obvious the cars are not prepped or serviced before being placed on the lot. A lot of damaged cars.
If this place is legal, it is barely legal.
Was helping my 22 yr old buy a car for college-so glad the sales personnel did not come out.
We went inside and the place was open but empty. There was a sales guy when we pulled up but he ignored us and dissappeared by the time we went in to ask about some cars. Anyone could’ve walked off with his personal belongings.
Seemed overall an unsafe dumpy place with poor lighting and urban blighted lot and buildings.
Other area dealers had strong but subtle negative reactions about this dealer when mentioned. One said: “I don’t care where you buy a car but you’d better stay outta that place. Don’t put your son in one of their cars.”
Salesman is being charged with Theft by Swindle while working at BLM. Their dealership was a stage for his scams. It has been a year of hell after walking through their door. When I went to them for help, I was revictimized all over again. It as if I were raped emotionally, mentally, financially and then when I went to them for help they raped me all over again. When I confronted the Manager about Cory’s criminal history that I found on line about his history of Theft, of Swindle, of forgery, owing back child support, etc. he said they knew about it. They wanted to give him a chance. I asked if he was monitored and he said no. They did nothing to assure my safety when I trusted them with my personal information. They did nothing to make sure he was not setting up another scam of Theft by Swindle. That is his current charges in Hubbard County, MN. Also he is being investigated in GA/AL/FL for simular cases. How can BLM as a financial institution be so reckless with customers trusted information? I don’t know if I can trust a dealership again.
While the owner of the saleman’s home after eviction searched it, they found in Woodbury, Mn: my Bloomington Lincoln Mercury loan application, my TCF Bank statement, my USAA Bank statement. Also in the house they found many other peoples personal, confidentional financial information to include social security information, bank information, etc.
He continues to work with other dealerships in the US and has ties with KIA of St. Cloud in Waite Park, MN. He used to work for Denny Hecker.
Is this the story that ran on WCCO for 7 seconds? I do believe the Dealer acted appropriate and handled the situation internally. Very sad situation a person would hand over the keys to there car to someone they just met?! hmmmm wonder what wasn’t reported between them?.
Seriously really seriously you make a post about something from over 3 years ago now?! sour grapes lady. Like going into Cub foods and loading up a cart of chow, stroll out past the cashier and not pay for it. You get busted and say well I gave it to a person I just met! he seemed hungry. 🙁
We bought a Navigator…the things has been a piece since the day we drove it off the lot…empty tank of gas, bad battery, leaking shocks, bad sparkplugs, warped rotors, no pads…where did they find this thing?…in 7 months we have spent over 1000k 😮 despite paying $3200 for the “cadillac” of extended warranty plans from BLM.
Now the check engine light is on for the 4th time and the truck is not currently driveable..it was in the shop less than 2 weeks ago!!!!!!:mad::mad:
Renaldo was going to send me a gas card…still waiting. He was going to send me touch up paint also..still waiting.
I hate our car, I hate this dealership and I disapointed that I didn’t go with my gut and walk out the door before buying. You still can! It’s not too late.
I bought a used car from BLM 3 weeks ago and had a great experience. I was referred to Rob M. and he was wonderful to work with. I didn’t feel any pressure to buy at all. I met with him twice, and bought on the second visit. Rob was the reason that I went to that dealership. If it wouldn’t have been for him, I likely would have went elsewhere. He negotiated a lower sale price on the car before I arrived at the dealership. I looked online for comparable cars for sale and the price I paid was less than those online. The car I purchased was cleaned very well and was in excellent condition. I will call Rob when it is time to by another car!
Terrible customer service experience. I have never been pushed out the door so quickly after purchasing a vehicle in my life. It could not have been any more clear that they had gotten my money (aka signed the purchase agreement) and then no longer cared at all.
Skip this Dealer…..Hope this dealer was on ford’s chopping block. Would never do business with again. Dont even give you a full tank of gas. They told me they changed the oil. I went to change today “was never done at dealer”. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ALL LIES “VERY SHADY PEOPLE”:devil(
The biggest complaints that I have against them are this.
1. Before the tell you the price on a vehicle, they get you started on filling out a credit application.
2. Though out the process you are sighning here, initializing there and you are not really sure where you are in the process but they make you feel like you are totally committed to the purchase and you can’t back out now.
3. The want you to do the deal now before you can go and do some more research on the vehicle. I told him I wanted to go and check out the Mariners as I knew some approximate pricing etc on the Ford Escapes. He was going to get me the blue book pricing which he never did as the topic got changed.
4. I ended up paying very high book on a vehicle which I think will be a good vehicle but I will not purchase another car from them unless the management changes. This high book was down from the almost new price that they quoted on the first round. When I checked out their internet pricing the next day, my best guess is that I paid 2-3K more than I should have.
5. They are professional salesmen that will pretty much do whatever they can to “close the deal” and unless you are familiar with the car purchasing process, they will take you for a ride. I had my last car for about 9 years so this is not something I do very often.
Renaldo Lied to us about the warranty. The factory warranty has run out and he looked it up, but told us it was still okay. Lied about cleaning the car, the paperwork, then sent us home on an empty tank………I mean completely empty. We asked for a car fax and got something else. Now we are stuck with the damn car and we are so mad about how we were treated! Never would go there again and would not recommend. They got us a nice deal on a trade-in then acting like we owed them something for working with them. NOT A CLASSY DEALERSHIP, will lie to make a sale.
should the dealership wipe your butt to after u go #2….i mean come on you look all over the internet….dont you research the warranty on your own…no one lied to you….you were just born with less…
Whats with all these responses defending the dealership? Seems to me the only people these could be is employees……sad, instead of fixing these issues the dealership has these guys bash disgruntled former customers….
Definitely not the appropriate responses if they are trying to save reputation or diffuse angry customers. What “professional” people like this don’t understand is that word-of-mouth experiences may hit 15-20 people, the Internet can touch thousands with a click of a button. They appear to have plenty of complaints , though you get them time to time in the service industry, but the responses are obviously employees and just reading them alone will send me (and my referrals) elsewhere. Makes me want to buy foreign. Geez..
it’s SO obvious that folks from the dealership are the one leaving these rude responses to the negative reviews!!! I actually thought about going here for a car but after seeing how rude and immature this staff is, I will absolutely avoid this dealership at all costs!!
I have to agree with the response above from “wasntbornlastnight”… any dealership that responds to complaints (valid or not) in such an unprofessional manner is obviously being managed by a bunch of con artists and immature, vindictive, and most of all DISHONEST creeps. I was interested in a car they advertised in the paper, but before going in I wanted to check them out online. Man, I’m sure glad I didn’t waste my time or money being insulted and lied to.
