Employee I dealt with: Richard Frauenzimmer, Service Consultant
My car was due for its first service @ 5k miles, and I was also having some steering wheel problems. As I was debating to which dealership should I take it (McKenna or Commonwealth Audi), I did some research online and frankly, according to the reviews, none was good enough nor trustworthy. I read a review on Richard by another Audi owner and it called my attention because the customer spoke so highly of him, so I gave it a try for two reasons: One because it is conveniently located close to my home, and second, because of Richard.
This service trip to Commonwealth Audi has been a good one. From the moment I scheduled the appointment to the day after I picked up my car, Richard was very helpful – getting me a loaner to get to/from work, he was very informative, and he also called the day after to follow up on the repair.
I must say that all the work was performed under warraty, so I only hope that my future trips to this dealership will be as good. Thanks Richard!
I LOVE that this site allows you to give zero’s, because that is pretty much where this dealership ranks overall. Maybe a 1/4 star….
First, if you read nothing else, JUST DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO ANOTHER DEALER. ANY other dealer! I have bought many cars in my lifetime, and never had as bad of an experience as we did at Commonwealth Audi. From start to finish the entire experience was like the blind leading the blind, which would be funny if not for feeling like we were the unwitting victims of a cruel practical joke.
From multiple un-returned phone calls, being mislead about the condition of the car, to waiting 3 hours while they corrected paperwork mistakes, the incompetence and rudeness at this dealership is nothing short of astounding. This incompetence coupled with their cavalier and discourteous attitude literally brought my girlfriend to tears and forced her to walk out.
To give you a better idea of our dissatisfaction, we found the exact car we wanted online at a dealership in Atlanta, GA. I now wish we would have bought plane tickets (we live in San Diego) and flown to Atlanta and driven back. Even if it had cost me an extra $2000, 2100 miles, and a day of driving it would have all been worth it to not have to go through the Commonwealth (or, as I call it, common nightmare) experience.
Unless you’re looking for a miserable experience and you enjoy being disrespected, go somewhere else. There are plenty of dealers that would appreciate your business.
