We paid for a 5 year honda service contract because we were told that if we did not use it we would get our money back at the end of the contract, we only purchased this contract because we were told it was through honda. When we ask for our refund at the end of 5 years they referred us to some company we new nothing about, and they where bankrupt. Auburn honda’s owner stated it was not their problem! We have been had by a very dishonest car dealer. I love my honda but these people are dishonest. they never denied that we were told it was through honda.
I have had all routine maintenance done by Auburn Honda. While getting your “normal” maintenance done is satisfactory, having an abnormal problem is the worst. I have complained about the rear suspension on this car for >2 years. I have 63,000 miles on the car and have just put the 4th set of rear tires on this vehicle. They offer no valid explanation or solution. While the Civic LX, EX and Hybrids have a documented rear suspension problem, the SI does not. I suppose due to the fact there are farr less SI’s sold. I have been given the completed runaround with no answers. Only to indicate on my service invoive there is no indication of uneven tire wear, but in person agree I should not be going through tires this quickly. They have no explanation. I expressed there are multiple complaints on the SI on various Websites and a class action suit. My extended warranty covers supension problems but Honda can’t diagnose it, therefore no Warranty! Just a lot of unecessary expense on (expensive) performance tires. He suggested that I call Honda Corp and complain to them and “maybe” they would call them for direction. Travis says he was going to have the service manager “Jeff” come talk to me beings as I had made several complaints about this. He never came to talk to me. I did get my scheduled break job completed within a timely fashion, but again I have no “fix” on this ongoing rear suspension problem. I will NEVER have any service work done at Auburn Honda again, nor will I refer any more friends to purchase a new car. They’ve lost a loyal customer.
