Purchased a vehicle from Suntrup that was owned by the owner of the company. I asked if it had ever been in an accident, sales person went to his computer and pulled a carfax. Although I did not see the carfax, he told me there were none reported. Again he assured me it was in pristine condition and was a one owner, owned by the owner of the company and driven by his wife. To make a long story short, upon arriving home I took it the vehicle to our region’s GMC certified dealer for inspection and fluid check, and to establish the vehicle in their system for future maintenance. The GMC dealer found that the rear differential fluid was excessively dirty and it needs changed, that the vehicle was out of alignment and needed aligned, and the body shop found that the high top of the vehicle had been compromised resulting in a stress fracture encompassing the entire front top of the vehicle along with the 3″ gouge. The dealership’s pre owned manager Sean Kelley has not responded to my phone inquires, and to my knowledge not to GMC customer care representatives inquiries, or my regional GMC dealer’s inquiries. The vehicle has not been able to be used and is sitting at the GMC dealership waiting repair, fluid change, and alignment. I hope that this experience turns into a positive experience in the next week. I have been waiting for a response from the dealership.
