They may have remodeled the dealership, but underneath their shiny new veneer, lay unscrupulous business tactics….
We have owned Audi vehicles for the past 10 years.
About a month ago, our lease was coming to and end, so I went to Circle Audi to purchase our new Audi.
Unfortunately, Circle Audi did not have the exact vehicle we wanted in their inventory.
Their general manager, Peter Murphy committed to getting the car for me from another dealership. He assured me, it would be no problem and he could have it by the end of the week.
When I came back in the next morning to close the deal, Trent Hill, another sales manager, refused to honor the commitment Peter Murphy made the evening before.
I explained that my lease was ending and I needed a car in the time frame that Peter Murphy has promised me.
He refused to get the car from the other dealership, instead, insisting that I order the car and wait 60-90 days.
During this entire incident, the Peter Murphy, the original manager who committed to getting us the car, sat idly and refused to intervene on our behalf.
I have no problem with a dealer not wanting to make a sale, but I do have a problem with a dealer who commits to a transaction and does not keep their word.
Neither Mr Hill, nor Mr Murphy could be bothered to apologize and frankly, couldn’t care less about earning my business.
I walked right out of the dealership, and called the Northern California dealer (Livermore Audi)(from my car parked in the Circle Audi parking lot).
Livermore Audi was professional and more than happy to earn our business.
We got the exact car we wanted, at a better price and it was delivered in under 24 hours to our front door in perfect condition.
The sales management at Circle Audi is a disgrace to the brand and I will never set foot in their dealership again.
POOR! POOR! POOR!
This was the worst auto buying experience of my life! I was basically pushed out the door with full financing then told almost a week later that the deal was NO good and that I needed to return the car or I would be charged with Grand Theft Auto. The management and financing managers were never helpful and treated me like dirt. Makes you really realize that they really only care about the selling of a vehicle and NOT their customers.
Makes you wonder how is such a hard time for selling vehicles they are able to go through a major multi-million dollar remodel. Think it’s because they screw their customers over??? After the way I was treated…you better believe it!
Buyer beware!
