Took car in for routine maintenance. They “discovered” or found some problem. So after fixing problems I did not know I had and costing $$$$$ I have had nothing but problems since.
Dropped off vehicle for routine oil change. Was called to be informed that there was an issue noted with both front tire (areas). Stated that it would be @$200 for each side and it should be taken care of immediately. Could only afford to do 1 side so elected to take care of 1 side. Was told that the service would be an hour 1/2. I arrived late by 1/2 hour and then still ended up waiting another 1 hour 15 minutes. Was told that an error was made and the cost wasn’t as much as exepected. (Which meant I could have afforded to do both sides.) I was never notified that Sarat needed to order the part or that additional time was needed.
Other comments to provide:
-The technician left oil marks from the boots on the o/s of the truck, below the door. Also, my driver side truck mat is stained.
-The cs service coordinator did try to help things by finding a rebate to lower the cost a few dollars.
-It seems like every time I’m in for a routine repair something is found. The confidence level is very low with Sarat Service and or the Ford product due to the amount of times this has happened. Not sure how to get past this.
-I still would recommend Sarat assuming that the product(s) are good but with everything that’s happened over the years with Service, would recommend going elsewhere. (Exception is with Tricia, very great to work through.) The service issues again stem with the ‘non-service’ items. (It’s happened quite often over time. I’ve brought this up in the past to the service manager one time and he had a tech come over to wipe everything clean. Of course the tech started to wipe everything with a dirty rag he had in his possession. I stopped him and provided comment to the manager, nothing was offered to correct it further so I left.
Sarat Ford was a great dealership to work with. The salesman, Kevin Hughes was a pleasure to work with. He was not your typical car salesmen that just wanted you to buy. He had a vast knowledge of the cars I was interested in and guided me to the best decision baised on price and what I needed. I am a Sarat Ford customer for life!!!
Terrible service. Good luck trying to communicate with them if you have a problem with your vehicle.
