I went to Roy O’Brien for a new Flex since this dealership is about 2 blocks from my house. The new car salesman wanted me to purchase off the lot, but the problem is that I wanted a specific color vehicle. He asked me for $ down so he could search for the vehicle I wanted. Reluctantly and stupidly, I gave his the $. He assured me he would not cash the check. He ended up finding my 3rd choice vehicle and brought it to the dealership. I wasn’t very satisfied, so I called another dealer and they had the car I wanted. I told my salesmen that I was planning on buying the car from the other dealer since I wanted a specific color and he said it was not attainable. Roy O’Brien cashed my check and when I came back to retrieve my $ my salesmen told me I couldn’t have it until he sold the car he brought in to another customer. I think that is illegal, they can’t hold money. I still do not have my “down payment” for a car I never bought from Roy O’Brien Ford. It makes me sad since this dealer is only 2 blocks away from me and I grew up hearing the 9 Mile and Mack commercial my whole life. Such a disappointment.
